The family of the beloved Brother-in-Christ John Muchunu Kamau wishes to announce his promotion to Glory that occurred on Friday 27th July 2018. He was a member of African Christian Church &Schools (AC-C&S) Kariobangi South, Nairobi. He hailed from Githima Village, Githima Sub-Location, Kigumo Location, Kigumo Sub-County, Muranga County.

Beloved Husband of Jane Wanjiru Muchunu. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Wambui and Michael Matson of Chicago, USA; Paxson Kamau and Julia Kosgei of Nairobi, Margaret Wangui and Dilwyn Herbert of Carmathen, Wales. He was the son of the late Paxson Kamau Muchunu and the late Beth Wambui Kamau. He is the stepson of Jane Wanjiku Kamau.

Brother of Rosemary Njeri and the Late David Waitha-ka Nyanjui, Bernadette Wanjiru and Henry Mwaniki; the Late Nathan Ngonjo; Anne Wanjeri and Sammy Kahuro; Evanson Githinji and Mary Muthoni; Joyce Muthoni and Prof Kinandu Muragu, Elijah Karagu and Cecilia Njoki; Mercy Wanjiku and Dr. Abel Kamweya; Julia Mwihaki and Tom Kinandu; Joan Muria and Benson Maina. Half-brother of Frida Njoki and Wilson Ngigi; James Muchunu and Bernadette Wanjiru; Marylyn Wambui; Catherine Waithira, Daniel Mbogo and Grace Waithira; Stephen Githinji and Nancy Githinji; Hilda Wanjeri; Hon. Jamleck Irungu and Agnes Irungu, Roxanne Muthoni and Dr Karongo; Kenneth Njoroge and Linda Njoroge.

He was the Son-in-Law of the Late Erastus Njigaga and the Late Margaret Wangui Njigaga of Tumaini, Nyandarua County and Brother-in-law of Leah VVangari, John Ndungu, Minnie Kabura; Susan Murugi; Miriam Njeri; and Nancy Muthoni. In-law of David Kosgei and Rachael Kosgei of Chemase, Nandi County.

Grandfather of Tifani, Timothy, Tessa, Ciiru, Wambui and an uncle of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers from Monday 30th July, 2018 to Thursday 2nd August, 2018 at St Andrews Church Nyerere Road, Nairobi from 5.30pm — 7.30pm, at house No. BBH 98 Buruburu City Council Estate, and at his rural home, Githima.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 6:00am on Friday 3rd August 2018. The funeral service will be LCC&S Githima Church, Githima Village, Githima Sub-Location, Kigumo Location, Kigumo Sub-County, Muranga County. Burial will be held thereafter at his farm in Githima Village.
