It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing on of Carmelin Wanjiku Kamweru, on 28/08/2022, formerly of Provincial General Hospital (PGH) – Nyeri.

Daughter of the late Agostino Ciira and the late Rita Wanjugu. Wife of the late Charles James Kamweru. Loving mother of Veronica Wanjiku, Esther Wanjugu, Agnes Wambui, Marie Wakonyo, Margaret Wairimu, Alex & Fathiya Kinuthia, Patrick & Rose Wachira and Michael Mwangi.

Sister of the late Barnabas Gachau, the late Joakim Nyingi, the late Constance Ngure, the late Consolata Wakonyo, Alexius Macharia, Isidore Miatu, the late Cecilia Wangari, Marcelinus Githinji, Pauline Wairimu, the late Maria Goretti Wangechi.

Grandmother of Charles &Wanjiru Kamweru, Edwin & Lucy Kamweru, Paul & Catherine Kimotho, Charles & Starla Kamweru, Susan Njoki, Edwin & Lucy Gacheru, Charlene Nyeri, Catherine Wanjiku, Otundo Ongori, Sharon Moraa, Mwini Bwika & Amina Jasho, Leila Wanjiku, Haroun Kamweru, Chris Hani,Trac-y Wanjiku, the late Kairu Ngure, Rabbi Wachira, Rashad Salama and Derick Wachira. Great-grandmother of twenty two. Aunty and friend to many.

Friends, family and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Thathua off the Nyeri – Nyahururu Road, behind Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School, starting at 4.00pm.

The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan), on Friday 02/09/2022 at 8:00am for funeral service at Thathua, Mweiga, in Nyeri County, beginning with the celebration of Holy mass at 11:00am. Burial will follow thereafter, at the same venue.
