Caroline Gwada Ochieng Abwao

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory of Caroline Gwada Ochieng Abwao, which occurred on 27th June, 2023 after a long illness bravely borne.

Daughter to Mary Apiyo Ochieng and Charles Ochieng Othwila (HR Manager – Kenya Marble Quarries). Daughter-in-law to the late Richard Mudenyo and Mama Jael Adhiambo and Francisca Akinyi Mudenyo of Ungasi Sub-location, Mumias West, Kakamega County.

Wife to Eric Abwao (Director Legislative Drafting and Advisory NCC). Co-wife to Diana Adongo Onyango Abwao. Mother to Richard Adrian Mudenyo, Rezwena Jael Owango, Rehana Mayai, Riziki Alma Apiyo, Daniella Alice, Erika Bakita and Declan Odhiambo Abwao.

Sister to Omolo Kevin, Benta Adhiambo & Dan Osoo, Felister Awino & Tom Nyariaro, Hellen Atieno, Junior Ochieng, Evelyne Aloo (PMO Analyst – UK Government) and Don Mac Okelo, Joseph Onyango, Ken Ochieng (Dubai).

Sister-in-law to the late Felix Abwao, the late Beatrice Abwao, Vincent Abwao, Monica Mbuya Mbuya (Ahero), Chrisphine Abwao, and Mary Jemaima (Jaramogi Odinga Odinga University).

Friends and relatives are meeting everyday at her home, in Ruai Block Ten everyday for burial arrangements.

There will be a major Harambee at City Court (City Hall) on Tuesday 11th July, 2023 at 5.00pm.

The burial will be on Saturday, 15th July, 2023 at Umala Village, Ungasi Sub-location, Msanda Location, Mumias West, Kakamega County.
