it is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Caroline Onyako Awuor Oyieng’.

Daughter of Mr. Julius Douglas Oyieng’ Odolla of Asembo Kakia, Rarieda Sub-county and Mama Gladys Awino Rayola of Alego Kogello.

Wife of David Bailey (Australia) and mother of Glenn and Gillian Makhapila.  Sister of Charles Emmanuel Odolla.

Niece of the late mama Dinah Opiacha, the late John Eston Okara, the late James Oleche, the late Melchizedek Goro, the late Christabel ,Ouko, Henry Opeyo, Kepha Misumi, Zadock Ogolla, Bernard Onyango, Otieno Rayola, Emma Odhiambo, Margaret Rayola, among others.

Cousin of the Opiachas, Okaras, Oleches, Goros, Oukos, Opeyos, Misumis, Ogollas, amongst others.

Sister-in-law of the late Bernard Kubai, jaindi Kisero, Hon Julius Gaya, Professor Otieno, Beatrice Okara, Loretta Oduor, among others.

Caroline was laid to rest on 11th October, 2022 in Newcastle, Australia.

A memorial service will be held at her father’s home in Lusi village on Friday, 21st October, 2022 from 9.00am.
