Carolyn Muhonja Kassamani

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Carolyn Muhonja Kassamani, which occurred on 24th August, 2022 after a short illness. Mrs. Kassamani was a Teacher at Baraka Oontoyie Secondary School.

She was the beloved daughter of Rhoda Tsindoli Kungu and the late Zebedi Sidika of Mbihi, Vihiga Constituency. Beloved wife to Herbert Ashiali Kassamani (formerly Wasreb). Mother to Flavia Kassamani (Safaricom), Collins Kassamani (KBC), Victor Kasamani (formerly MMUST), and Cavin Kassamani (Chavakali High School). Mother-in-law to Steve Obiero. Grandmother to Milan Mukola and Mafia Muhonja.

Sister to Bridged Oside, Loi, Judy, Geoffrey Amata, Fred Musiji, Joshua Otiende and Mchaizi. Daughter in-law to the late Henry Ashiali and the late Anne Nyangweso.

Sister-in-law to Resper Maina, the late Charles Ashiali, Roselyn Muleshe, Decimah Andika, Joseph Otundo, Truphena Magoti, Pamela Momanyi, Agnes Oliambo, and Tabitha Otundo. A true Mother, Aunt, Sister and friend to many. Friends and family are meeting daily at her home in Nkoroi, Ongata Rongai, Nairobi.

Her funeral service will be held at St. Faith ACK – Ongata Rongai on 1 September, 2022 from 10.00am. Thereafter, the cortege will leave for home for a requiem mass at St. Paul’s ACK Parish – lbokolo. The burial is set for 3rd September, 2022 at her Eshiamache home, lbokolo Sub-location, Butere.
