No words could ever express our appreciation for the love and support shown to us after the devastating loss of our dear Ivy Wangechi. We are totally devastated and overwhelmed with grief. However, we thank the Lord for his faithfulness.

The family is immeasurably grateful to friends through the funeral organizing Committees in Thika, Nyeri and Nairobl. Your kindness and support helped lighten our burden and it was a comfort to us to know the details were in your hands.

To the Administration and Students of Moi University College of Health Sciences, Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Ampath-Kenya, Nyeri National Polytechnic, Alliance Girls and Boys Alumni, Bishop Njuguna Academy Alumni, Mahiga Primary School, Gakuyu Secondary School, the Kenyan teaching fraternity and all service providers, thank you for honouring her in such a sincere and heartfelt manner. To the PCEA Makongeni Church, Thika & PCEA Gakuyu Church, Nyeri, we are grateful for your Spiritual Counsel and Presiding over the Service

Grateful to the whole of Nyeri County, led by the Governor, MPs, MCAs and the Kikuyu elders for the candle lit vigils and prayers you held in honour of your departed daughter. We too appreciate the County Governments of Kiambu, Murang’a and Nyandarua led by their MPs and MCAs for your financial and emotional support.

Further appreciation goes to all the Country’s political leadership who used their platform to condemn the heinous act and to condole with the family. Our sincerest gratitude goes to the State House Comptroller Hon. Kinuthia Mbugua (CBS, OGW) for standing with the family. The family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation to The Head of State H.E. Hon Uhuru Kenyatta, C,G.H President and Commander of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Kenya for the thoughtfulness presented to us during this tremendously difficult time.

May Dr. Ivy live on through the Social, Cultural and Policy change that her unprecedented demise will bring to Kenya and the rest of the World.

Robin Njogu Kung’u

We the family of the late Robin Njogu Kung’u, wish to convey our sincere gratitude for the support extended to us through prayer, words of comfort, presence and financial support during a challenging and sorrowful time following the demise of our dear son, husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin and in-law.

Appreciation

We, the family of the late Robin Allan Kiambuthi Njiru would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all our friends and family for the overwhelming support accorded to us. Your encouragement, messages of condolence, prayers and reassurance gave us strength and comfort. Your generosity and commitment were invaluable in enabling us to give our son a fitting interment.

We would like to thank all our friends and family who accompanied us to Arusha, the Doctors and Police in Arusha, the Kenyan Embassy in Tanzania for their quick guidance and assistance in ferrying the body back to Kenya. Special thanks and appreciation to the Deputy President HE William Ruto, CS’s Mwangi Kiunjuri and Sicily Kariuki, Kirinyaga Women’s rep Hon. Purity Wangui Ngirici and all other state officials for your messages of condolences.

Great work done by the organizing committees in Nairobi, chaired by George Wainaina and Peter Karanja, Mwea. Thank you for the words of hope from the Provost Wainaina and clergy of All Saints Cathedral, the clergy in ACK St. Luke’s Wang’uru and all the pastors who have been praying with us. To the immediate family for your support and unity, we will be forever indebted.

We, the family of Mr. Joseph Waweru Maingi (Mutema Uuki Wines) wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to our family friends, members of the extended family, well-wishers and all those who stood by us during the sickness, demise and send off of our beloved wife, mother and friend Mrs. Mary Njeri Waweru.

Special thanks go to all the members of the funeral organizing committee, the chair of the organizing committee Mr Muchemi Mugo, the event’s organizer Maryanne Wariithi, the Aga Khan University Hospital staff, Dr Erick Njenga, Dr Murunga, Dr, George Jumba and the team of doctors who tirelessly did their best for Mary, ladies of CLC who constantly gave Mary solace by their company, prayers and songs throughout her stay in hospital, ladies of Aramati, 5 star & BSF (Loresho), the Opee family, members of MVERA and last but not least to Fr. Mburu and Fr. Kamiri for their spiritual support, guidance and preparation of Mary.

We further wish to appreciate all those who offered prayers, messages of condolences, financial and moral support during this difficult period. You made our burden lighter and we will forever treasure you.
