We, the family of the late Mwalimu James Muriuki Njeru wish to thank God Almighty for the great time we shared with him on earth, the outstanding relationships he enabled us to create and the moments that we shall cherish forever. We, the entire Njeru and Gakuru family wish to convey our heartfelt gratitude to all friends and well-wishers who supported us during this difficult period.

Special thanks and appreciation to the Moi Forces Academy Teachers and Alumni fraternity. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the funeral organizing committees both in Nairobi and Embu. All the Clergy who presided over the funeral service led by Ven. Geoffrey Okapisi, Administrative Secretary, ACK Diocese of Nairobi, ACK St. Philips Jericho clergy led by Rev. Maurice Ameda, ACK St. Mary’s Muchagori, Embu clergy, church choirs, relatives, friends, neighbours, colleagues and well-wishers who accorded us overwhelming financial and material support, emotional encouragement and prayers, condoling with us, visiting us, phone calls and text messages.

We also wish to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Avenue Hospital, Parklands and Mary Immaculate Hospital. Special thanks also goes to Dr. P.N. Ngugi and Dr. J.N. Gakuru, the director of K.U. referral funeral home and staff who attended to the late Mwalimu James until his last moment.

It may not be possible to thank each of you in person who assisted and supported us in one way or another so please accept this notice as an expression of our sincere and heartfelt gratitude. May God bless you Abundantly.

Today would have been Vale’s 35th birthday and it’s hard to accept that she is not here with us to celebrate it. The families of the late Valentine Jebet Kiptui Kulei would like to appreciate the prayers, moral and financial support that went a long way in upholding us in this time of mourning and towards her beautiful send-off.

Val was the wife of Kenneth Kulei and mother of Nathaniel David Kipngetich Kulei and Isabella Hope Jepkoech Kulei.

She was daughter of the late Prof. Daudi Kiptui and Hon. Grace Kiptui. Daughter-in-law of Daniel Kulei Chebii and Rebecca Chebii (Eldama Ravine).

As we celebrate her birthday today, we would like to give special thanks to the extended families and all friends, her employer Geothermal Development Company (GDC), pastoral A team and marriage enrichment group of International Christian Centre (ICC Nairobi), AIC Milimani Church, AGC Olive Inn Nakuru, Eldama Ravine Churches, Don Bosco Catholic Church (Upper Hill), Sovereign Group, JTL, OAK, Sarova Hotels and Sarova Woodlands, Ng’andu Class of 82′, UoN Llb Class of 87′, Alumnis of Kabarak High School , USW, MEC (Class of 2002, 2005 & 2009), Kapsabet Boys High School Alumni, Moi Primary Alumni, Burn Buru Girls Alumni, LAPFUND, The Nairobi Hospital staff and Dr. N.Thagana, Committee members for Nairobi, Nakuru and Eldama Ravine and the Diaspora community and every person who contributed towards her send off and children’s fund. We, the Odondi family, together with the Funeral Committee, would like to express our deep gratitude to all the friends, relatives, and well-wishers for their immense moral and material support during the difficult period of grief following the death of our beloved parents, Mzee Charles Odondi Ojuka and Mama Aska Akinyi Odondi. The phone calls, messages, prayers, visits and presence during the funeral ceremony meant a great deal to us as we struggled with the heart-breaking loss.

It has been 5 years long since you left us to be with our God.

Yet to us it is like yesterday. We thank God for the years he gave us to be with you.

You are greatly missed by your wife, children and grandchildren, your brothers and sisters, relatives. Friends, colleagues/workmates and many others who you touched in one may or another.

We all cherish our memories with you which have kept us strong.

We the family of the late Sgt Phoeby Khadoro Liyai (Retired) formerly of Kilimani Police Station would like to thank relatives, friends, neighbours (lleho and Nambale), the late Phoeby’s former colleagues at Kilimani Police Division and all well wishers who participated in giving Phoeby a befitting send-off through prayers, physical presence, calls, messages, financial and material contributions.

Special thanks to medical team who took care of Phoeby at the Memorial Hospital – Eldoret, Friends Church Mugango and the Kakamega Yearly Meeting as a whole.

Phoeby has left behind three children: Lavina Arumba Azenga, Lucky Azango Musonye, Laura Mukami Wiyanga. Siblings: Abraham and Florence Liyai, Hudson and Abigael Liyai, Dorcas and Tobias Senyeli, Caleb and Doretta Liyai, Merab and Patrick Mulindi, sister-in-law to Gerishom Majanja. Also left behind many nieces and nephews and five grandchildren. |

She was preceded in death by sister Bilha and Parents Pastor Jotham and Mama Elisabeti Liyai of Friends Church, Mugango (Ileho).

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Our Special thanks go to CITAM -Karen, Karen Community Church, and Intercessors for Kenya, among others, who were instrumental in working with, and holding Diana in her Christian testimony to the last day. Special thanks also go to Dr.Atina who was Diana’s doctor since 2021; other doctors and medical practitioners in the AAR and other clinics, who came to Diana’s aid at different times of her medical needs, in one way or another.

Finally we thank God’s servants from CITAM – Karen and ACK St. Barnabas – Thuita, who graciously conducted the Church Service and Diana’s burial in our home in Thuita Village, Murang’a.
