In acceptance of God’s will, the Chege’s family announces the passing on of Mr. Chege Mbuthia which occurred on 25th June, 2021.

Beloved son to the late Mbuthia Muratha & the late Susan Munjiru. He was the loving husband to the Late Joyce Targok Chege. Son-in-law to the late Reuben C. Boit (Smith) & the late Leah K. Boit. Brother to the late Wanjiku Mbuthia, the late Nduta Mbuthia, the late Muiruri Mbuthia, the late Samuel Kimani, the late Margaret Wambui, Peris Njoki & Peter Muchiri.

Brother-in law to the late Zipporah, Esther, the late Martha, the late Elene, the late Aaron, the late Elizabeth, Ruth, the late Shem, the late Isaac, the late Nicholas, Sally & the late Paul. Loving father to Patrick Mbuthia,Stella Chege (KMTC, Nyeri), Kennedy Kihara, Muiruri Chege & Purity Chege (KMTC).

Father-in-law to Jane Mbuthia, Viola Kihara, Caroline Muiruri & P.Wanderi. Grandfather to Dennis, Njenga, Gladys, Kennedy, Ciku, Randall, Rolf, Dekker, Aliciajoy, Randy, Ryvine and Great Grandfather of Janelle & Darrelle.

Meetings are ongoing at his Milimani Residence in Nakuru and Kirobon home, Solian ward in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral home, Nakuru at 7.30 am on Saturday, 10th July, 2021 for burial at his Kirobon home Solian ward, Eldama Ravine

Senior Sergeant Bob Kipkemoi Aruasa

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Senior Sergeant Bob Kipkemoi Aruasa of The Kenya Defence Forces which occurred on 24th June 2021 due to the tragic helicopter crash at Oltepesi in Kajiado County.

Son of Mr. Humjoli Kebenei Aruasa and Mrs. Sophia Chelangat Muimaasai, husband to Linner Chepkorir, father to Ian Kipkurui, Leon Kibet and Eddy Kipngetich, loving brother to Hon. Evalyn Aruasa the Deputy Govenor Narok County, David Aruasa — Administrator Mara Triangle, Hon. Philemon Aruasa – MCA of Melelo Ward in Narok County, Bismarck Wasta – Lecturer/Procurement Consultant and Brian Aruasa.

Son-in-law to Zakayo Biomdo and Alice Biomdo. Brother in-law to Caroline Torongey – Lecturer, Dr. Prisca Yegon – M.P Shah Hospital, Chrystabel Alaro – Vivo Energy Kenya, Robert Korir, Nancy Biomdo, Emmy Biomdo, Bernard Korir, Winny Biomdo and Mercy Biomdo, and a loving uncle to Alex Kiptoo, Jayden Kipgetich, Jealynene Chepchumba, Joy Chebet, Dyland Kiplangat and Ryan Kibet.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his rural home in Olmekenyu village in Narok South Sub-County, Narok County for burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Defence Forces Memorial Shujaa Mortuary on Friday 2nd July 2021 for a church service at Deliverance church Olmekenyu, Narok County.

The burial service will be held at Olmekenyu Secondary School on Saturday 3rd July 2021 and thereafter burial at his home in Olmekenyu village. All Ministry of Health COVID- 19 protocols will be observed.

Teresia Ndunge Mwanza (Auntie Terry)

1952 – 2021

 It is with humility and acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved mum Teresia Ndunge Mwanza – formerly of Kenya Police – on the morning of June 26th 2021, after a long & courageous battle with illness.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel Muathe Mwanza and were blessed with two children; Robert Muli and Asumpta Kavata. Mother-in-law of Carol Roberts. The 4th born to the late Daniel and Ether Munene who hailed from Katoloni, Machakos. Daughter-in-law of the late Mwanza Masuo and the late Agnes Mathembo.

Sister of Rhodah Mukayagi, Monica Mwangangi, the late Jane Wanyonyi, Francis Munene, Michael Munene and Margaret Mutuku. Sister-in-law of Francis Kala, Elizabeth Musunga, Lucy Maingi, Grace Mutunge Ndull, Danson Mutinda, Rhodah Malombe, Tabitha Wavinya, Peterson Mutuku, Mary Mueni, Joseph Mutua, Daniel Wambua and Joseph Kimeu. Niece of Mary Musela and many others.

Doting grandmother of Danielle Ndunge Mull, Ryan Muli & Samuel Terrel. An aunt, cousin, mentor and friend to many.

Auntie Terry’s memorial service will be held at the AIC Ruai Central Church on Thursday 1st July, 2021, at I 1.30am.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home in Machakos, at 8.00am. The burial will take place at her home in Kathuma Village, Kyanganga Sub-location, Mango Location, Mwala Sub-county in Machakos County on Saturday the 3rd of July 2021, at 10-.00am.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Rev, Sr. Patriciah Wangui Karanja, of the Sisters of Emmanuel, Catholic Diocese of Murang’a (CDM). Until her demise she was working at the CDM Pastoral Office.

Daughter to the Late Paul Karanja Ngugi and Margaret Waithira of Gathanji Village, Gatanga Sub-County, Murang’a County. Sister to Peter Ngugi, James Kimani, Francis Ngaruiya, Jane Njeri, Joseph Mwaura, Mary Wairimu, Ann Muthoni, Teresia Wanjiru, Daniel Gitonga and Ezekiel Njoroge.

The cottage leaves Consolata Funeral Home, Kiria-ini, on 1st July 2021 at 8.15 am. The Funeral Mass will be held on the same day at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral, Murang’a, at 10.00 a.m  and thereafter Internment at Sisters of Emmanuel Cemetery, Maragua.

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, that they may rest from their labours, for their deeds follow them (Rev. 14:13).

An aunt to many.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nakuru on Thursday 1st July, 2021. Arrival at Umash Funeral Home will be at 7.15am and departure to Bahati Catholic Parish at 7.45am. Requiem Mass will begin at 11.00am, followed by burial at Bahati Novitiate, Little Sisters of St. Francis Cemetery.

Regina Mweni Kasyoka (Mwalimu)

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing to Glory of Mrs. Regina Mweni Kasyoka (Mwalimu) on Saturday 26th June 2021 after a short illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Joel and Esther Wambua of (Nthangu Village – Makueni County). Beloved wife of the late Paul Kasyoka Mutwiwa. Daughter-in-law of the late Dickson Mutwiwa Mbui and the late Anastacia Syokau Mutwiwa. Mother of Winnie Njoroge (former Safarilink), Antony Kasyoka (KCB), Vincent Muisyo, Raymond Muema (KDF), Eric Wambua and Robert Mwaniki. Grandmother of Yvonne (Leila) Levi, Brian, Paul, Regina and great grandmother of Rimone.

Mother in-law of the late John Njogoge, Ruth Mbui, Anne Muema Sister of the late Morris Musila Wambua, Susan, Dorothy, Rose, Nelson, Sarah, Thomas. Pauline Chebeth Bii

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Teachers Service Commission announces the sudden demise of Pauline Chebeth Bii formerly attached at Kericho Sub-County that occurred on 21st June 2021 after a long illness.

Beloved wife of Samwel Bii, OCS Bungoma. Mother of Gladys Chepkemoi, Nickson Kipkoech and Sylvia Chelangat. Pauline was the first daughter of Peter Rotich and Jane Rotich. Sister of Sarah Korir, Rose Bii, David Bett, Andrew Bett, Julius Bett and Augustine Bett. She was the daughter in-law of the late Zablon Rutoh, Russie Rutoh and the late Sarah Rutoh of Kapbarsayian (KIBETU).

Funeral will be held at her home in Kericho, Ainamoi, Poiywek location, Laliat sub-location Barsayian village on Thursday, 1st July 2021.

We loved you mum but God loved you more. May God rest her soul in peace.

Patel Manzukh

We, Arutani Girls Secondary School fraternity are saddened by the demise of Mr. Patel Manzukh of Solai.

He did a lot of good work to our community and was part of us. His activities in Solai area are witnessed by all. He was a man of the people.

May the good Lord reward him abundantly. May his family and friends get consolation and strength from the Lord too.

Daughter of the late Bernard Githii Wanjau and the late Bancy Wamuyu Githii of Wariruta Village, Mutathini Sub-location, Kirimukuyu Location, Mathira Division Nyeri County. Wife of Stephen Karanja Ng’ang’a of Kayole Nairobi. Mother of Bancy Catherine Wamuyu, Caroline Njeri, Reuben Ng’ang’a, Mary Nyambura and Bernard Githii. Sister of the late David Mwangi, the late Samuel Nguyo, Gladys Wanjiku, the late Harrison Ndaguri, Racheal Nyachomba, the late Joseph Githaiga, Esther Nyaguthii, Charles Ndururi, Rev Daniel Ndiritu and James Ndegwa.

Daughter-in-law of the late Ng’ang’a Muiga and the late Grace Njeri of Kihingo Limuru. Sister-in-law of the late Mary Nyambura, Isaac Njogu, Mary Wanjiku, Margaret Wanjiru and Ruth Gachiku. A loving Grandmother of Ashley Wambati, Talia Wagithi, Nathaniel Wairagui, Nissi Nyawira, Beatrice Wagithii, Darnell Wairimu and Jabali Kabucwa. Mother-in-law of Joshua Murage, James Wairagu and Daniel Macharia. An aunt, cousin and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan University Hospital Mortuary – Nairobi, on Thursday 1st July, 2021, at 6.00am.The funeral ceremony will take place at her family farm in Thome Naromoru, Nyeri County, on the same day, from 11.00am.
