Irene Serah Wanjiru Mwangi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Irene Serah Wanjiru Mwangi of Braeburn High School, on 10th May, 2021.

She was daughter to the late John Mwangi Ngangti and Bilha Wambui Mwangi. Mother to Valentine Muthoni & Joshua Isamula and Mercy Njoki. Grandmother to Hope Lesley Isamula and many others. She was sister to Agnes Njoki & Duncan Kabochi (Deekei Ventures), Caroline Wangui & Simon Mungai (Githunguri), Perpetual Wairimu & Andrew Mambo (USA), Lincoln Maina (Gakindu), Ambrose Mureithi (KPLC) & Esther Wangari (ACK, Gakindu). She was also aunt and grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves Kiria-ini Hospital Mission Mortuary on 14th May, 2021 for Funeral service and burial thereafter at Ruarai Village, Gakindu in Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri County.

Gladys Njeri Ngeru

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Gladys Njeri Ngeru that occurred on 7th may 2021

Beloved wife of the late Daniel Ngeru Njuguna. The mother of Winston Njuguna, Grace Wairimu, Stanley Ngotho, Festus Maina, Wilfred Gakure, Alfred Wangoto, the late Dancun kibiru and the late Alice Njoki. Sister of the late Ferdinand Gakure, Dancun kiburu, Gichiru Mwangi and Eunice Mathini Kiragu. A grandmother of many and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Wanjengi sub location, mbari ya kiongo.

The cortege will leave Montezuma funeral home Kabati on Saturday 15th May 2021 at 7am. The church service will be held at A.C.K St Stephen’s Church Wanjengi at 10am and the burial later at her farm in Wanjengi, Mbari ya Kiongo.

Gabriel Ndiege Ounda

It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden demise of Gabriel Ndiege Ounda on Tuesday, 4th May 2021. He hailed from Suba District, Kaksingri West, Ragwe Village.

He was the son of Thomas Ndiege Ounda and the Late Elizabeth Akinyi Ndiege. Son in-law to the Late James Karabu Kimani and Jane Wanjiru Kimani. A loving husband to Joan Muthoni Kimani. He was a doting father to Elaine Akinyi Ndiege, Gabriella Muthoni and Lamar Ounda. Loving brother to Maurine Juliet Ndiege, Trizah Atsango Ndiege, Mary Ombinya Ndiege, Quinter Anyango Ndiege.

Brother in law of Kennedy Aroko, Peter Odera, Georgia Ogolla, Oivind Nafstad, Jack Karabu Kimani. He was a loving uncle to Trinny Talia, Nikita Mitchell, Ellah Grace, Liz Laysley, Britney Njeri, Liz Kimberly, Maryline Adeno, Junior Kennedy Aroko, Odin Ndiege Nafstad, Livia Nafstad, Della Merkel and Dexter Jakes.

Prayer meetings are being held daily at the family residence in Milimani, Mbita, Homabay County.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday 15th May 2021 at Ragwe Village, Kaksingiri West.

Rev. Fr. Moses Muricho Khakina

Born: 09/04/1970 — Died: 06/05/2021

The Catholic Diocese of Kakamega regrets to announce the death of Rev. Fr, Moses Muricho Khakina, which occurred 6th May 2021 at Mater Misericordiae Hospital – Nairobi. Before his death, he was serving at St. Anne’s Parish Eshisiru, Kakamega as Assistant priest.

Son of the late Stephen Kwoba and with Pauline Naliaka Kwoba. Brother of Maurice Wamalwa Kha!dna, Joseph Wamoto Khakina, Jenipher Nafuna suite Khakina, Ruth Nafula Khakina, Jackylyn Nanjala Khakina, John Barasa Khakina, Lilian Nakhumicha Khakina, Erick Namajanja Khakina, Hellen Nasimiyu, Stella Nekoye of Muruli C location, Moi’s bridge Sub-Location, Nzoia Location, Likuyani sub county in Kakamega County.

The cortege leaves St. Elizabeth Hospital, Mukumu, on 17th May,2021, for requiem mass at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Kakamega at 2:00pm.

The funeral mass and burial will be at St. Peter’s Minor Seminary, Mukumu grounds, on 18th May, 2021, at 10:00am. Please NOTE all the Ministry of health protocols will STRICTLY be adhered to.

Felix Mulei Kapten Kaula

We regret to announce the death of Felix Mulei Kapten Kaula (retired AP Officer), on Saturday 8th May, 2021, through a road accident He hails from Kalimbini Sultan Hamud in Makueni County.

Husband of Ruth Mueni Mulei, father of Alice Mutindi, Winnie Mwende, Celestine Mutinda and Kevin Kaula. Son of Athanas Kaula Ngove and Lucia Chausiku Kaula. Son-in-law of the late Mbithi Kwinga and Sabina Mukulu Mbithi.

Brother of Edigna Mkafundi Owino, Catherine Yaya Mutiso, the late Clement Kaula,Sr.Assumpta Kaula,Angelica Mukoshi, Noel W. Kaula, Celestine Mwakio, Josephine Manila, Jacinta Nzioka, Eve Muema,Adam N Kaula, Salome Muchiri, Mariana Matheka, Leonida Tausi Kyatha, AnneMarie Wasilwa, Elizabeth Kaunda, and Susan Nduku. A cherished nephew to several aunts, and a brother-in-law and uncle of many.

The cortege will leave Kilome funeral home (Emali), on Saturday 15th May, 2021, 8.30am for a funeral service and burial at his home in Kalimbini (off Mombasa–Nairobi Highway) Sultan Hamud.

Ebby Khalamwa Andole

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ebby Khalamwa Andole which occurred on 4th May 2021 at 2:30p.m at Shamiloli Village after long sickness having undergone various clinics treatment in health facilities in Kenya such as Kisumu Specialist, Aga Khan, Eldoret Hospital and Nala Kakamega.

Wife to the late Abraham Andole Isasala. Daughter to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Mulovi. Mother to Julia, Ruth, the late Isaiah, the late Japheth, Peninah, Samuel, the late Deborah, Susan, and the late Jonathan. Sister to the late Elikanah, Jeridah, the late Laban, Luka, Barnett, the late Pheobe, Moses, Jared, Andrew and Esther.

The cortege leaves St. Elizabeth Mukumu Mortuary on Friday 14th May 2021, to Shamiloli Village, Mukulusu Sub-Location Kakamega County.

Services to celebrate Dr. John Badia’s life will be as follows. Thursday 20th May, 2:30pm at CITAM Karen, Nairobi; Friday 21st May, 11:00 a,m at St.. Stephen’s Cathedral, Kisumu; Saturday 22nd May, 10:00 a.m at St Augustine’s Chapel, Yimbo.

Burial will take place at his family’s ancestral home in Yimbo on Saturday, 22nd May 2021.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Captain Dennis Gateri Wanderi of ALS (Aircraft Leasing Services) on Monday, 10th May, 2021 at the Aga Khan University Hospital. Dennis touched the lives of so many and was a bright spark in this world.

Husband to Grace Wanjeri Gateri of Kenya Airways. Son of Gabriel MuhuthiaWanderi and Damaris Wanjiru Wanderi. Brother to Esther Wangui Kibarita, Edwin Mwangi Wanderi and Janeann Wangari Wanderi. Grandson of the late Titus Gateri, the late Esther Wangui, the late Ephantus Mwangi Kihoro and Jane Wangari Mwangi. Son-in-Law of the late Stephen Gichuku and the late Lucy Gichuku. Brother-in-Law to Samuel Kibarita, Ifeatu & Jennifer Okoye, Eric & Edna Thangu and Daniel & Stella Ndirangu. Nephew, Cousin, Uncle, and Friend to many.

Prayer meetings and funeral arrangements are being held in Nairobi at the Mamlaka Hill Chapel and Upcountry at the Pumzika Restaurant in Elementaita, Gilgil on Thursday 13th & Monday 17th of May from 5:30pm.
