It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely demise of Simon Maina Kagure of the Parliamentary Service Commission on 9th May, 2021, through a tragic road accident on the Nyeri-Nyahururu Road.

Simon was a beloved son to Margret Kagure Gichuki, loving husband to Tabitha Muthoni Maina, and a caring father to Trevor Gichuki Maina, Precious Wairimu Maina and Baby Blessing Wangari Maina.

He was Brother to James Gichuki Kagure and Samuel Ndungu Kagure (Major). Son in-law to, Beatrice Wangari.

Brother in-law of Elizabeth Wangechi and Michael Irungu. Nephew of Teresa, Ngunjiri, Simon, Late Charles, Late Elizabeth, Patrick Gichohi, Ndungu Rukwaro, Miriam Theuri, Sarah Rukwaro among others.

Uncle to Gibson, Walter, Gradwell, Margret, Ann, Collins, Edwin, Francis, Beth and ciru. Cousin’s to: John, Wanjiru, Stanley, Ann, Stephen, Mwangi, Wangondu, Njambi, Rukwaro’s among others.

Simon was a treasured friend and colleague to many.

The cortege leaves Consolata Mathari Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, 15th May, 2021 for requiem service at Gituiga Primary School in Nyeri County Othaya Sub-location, Mahiga West and thereafter burial will take place at his Mother’s home in Gituiga.

Son of the late Pius Nzoka Nguli and Esther Mukami (Kanini) Pius of Kwandoo, Mwala, Machakos County.

Husband of Constance Vihah Mutua (Kwandoo Primary School).

Father of Derrick Muthoka, Belinda Muthoki and Moira Selita.

Son-in-law of the late Flezian Komora and Selita Hadiribo of Ngao, Tana River Country.

Brother of Mitchell Wambua (Charterhouse Bank), Steve Mathuka (KPPF), Gerry Musa (KPLC), Phillis Ndunge, Anthony Mutuku, Susan Ndunge, Henry Muthoka and Agnes Kamene.

Brother-in-law of Job Omara, Faith Owendo, Bahati Komora, Mule Komora, Balesa Komora, the late Thomas Dada, Ben Gwiyo, Harufa Komora, Lilian Hajilo, Winnie Wambua, Hellen Mathuka, Martha Musa, Daniel Mutua and Purity Munyiva.

Burial will be held on Tuesday 18th May 2021 at his home in Kibau Village (opposite Mwala School) Mwala Sub-County, Machakos County.

Beloved son of the late Muted Mutiso and the Late Kalondu Muteti.

Husband to Eunice Mutiso. Loving father to Maureen Muthoki, Cornellius Mutiso & Miriam Mutua, Patience Kalondu, Imelda’ Ndanu, Mercy Mutiso and Roselyne Mutheu.

Loving grandfather to Lennox Huruma, Eunice Mutheu, Gift Mutiso and Zawadi.

The cortege will leave Makueni Pamoja Funeral Home on Saturday 15th May 2021 for burial at his home in Maaueli Village, Kitise Location, Makueni County.

Daughter of the late Mr. Johnstone Onyino and Mrs. Joyce Andeso Onyino of Esiamayayi, Ebulonga Location, Bunyore East Loving Wife of Wycliffe Were Wetabas (formely of Moi University Pharmacy Dept.).

Beloved Mother of Rachael Were (ICRC), Michael Were (Magharibi Hub), Dr. Were Onyino (KMA President) and Selinah Were (KNH).

Mother-in-law of Michelle Anekeya, Rose Nyamai, Princess Runyeruka, Ayo Lesi and Phelix Ouma.

Grandmother of Maya Andeso, Nia Ayiro, Liam Saju, Jean-Luc Were, Yanzi Ayoma, Iris Ayoma and Luna Ayoma.

Sister of the late Jedidah Mukabane, Moses Onyino, Mary Maleche, Jason Opati, Wellington Wekhuya, Margaret Lusimba, Kennedy Onyino and Getrude Onyino.

Sister-in-law of Justin Bwakali, Evangelist Esther Bwakali, the late Morris Mukabane, Eliakim Maleche, the late Morris Lusimba, the late Lilian Onyino,Alice Moses, Reverend Mr and Mrs Wakhungu and others.

Friends and Relatives are meeting daily at the family home in Lubinu and at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, every day from 5.00pm – 8.00pm.

There will be a requiem mass on Tuesday, 18th May 2021, atAll Saints Cathedral Church at 2.00pm, followed by a fundraiser at the same venue.

The cortege leaves Nairobi on Thursday, 20th May, 2021 at 9.00am, for a funeral service at ACK St Paul’s Lubinu at 2.00pm.

An Interment ceremony will be held at her home in Lubinu village, Mumias East Sub-county on 21st May.2021 in adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
