Elder Mary Mukenyi Njunge

 Date of birth: 16th March 1953 – Date of death: 5th April 2018

In His perfect time. God called to a peaceful rest our cherished mother, grandma, sister and friend Elder Mrs Mary Mukenyi Njunge on Thursday morning 5th April 2018. She hailed from Karamba-ini Tigoni, Limuru.

She was the dotting wife of the late Geoffrey Niunge Mungai and daughter of the late Stephen Karanja Mugonora and the late Rahab Wanjiku Karanja. Cherished mother of Rachel Wanjiku Thumbi, mother-in-law of Thumbi Mwangi and grandma of Rene’e Mukenyi and Wambuthia Thumbi.

Sister of the late Hannah Waithira, late Pauline Wanjiru, late Jane Wambui, Nancy Njeri and Peter Wainaina, Margaret Wairimu, Joseph Kimani, Micheal and Njambi Mwaura and Elizabeth Mwihaki Sister in-law of Mary Nyandundu, Fredrick and Isabella Muroki, Francis and Grace Nienga Ann Ngoiri, late John and Mary Kairu, Esther Nyokabi, and Migwi and Daniel and Rose Biaru.

Friends and family arc meeting daily at home in Karambaini, Tigoni from 4.00pm.

The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home on Friday, 13th April 2018 at 9.00 am for church service at PCEA Karambai-ini church in Tigoni starting at 11am, and thereafter the burial ceremony at her home.

1941 – 2018

Promotion to glory and eternal peace has occurred of our beloved “TATA” Mr. Edward Muthini Mwalyo on 5th April 2018.

He was husband of Mrs. Ruth Nthambi of Manyala Village, Mumbuni Sub location, Mbiuni Location, Mwala Sub-County in Machakos County. He was the son of the late Mwalyo Mutua and Nthanze Mwalyo and stop son of Nzisa Mwalyo He was brother of the Late Mbondo Mwalyo and Kanyiva Mutuva, John Kakemu, David Kulu, Kasendi Katiku, late Mutoto Kimanthi, Mbea Muinduko and Celestine Mwalyo. Step brother of Late Munathi Mwalyo, Kingoo Mwalyo, Katekye Kivindyo. He was blessed with 3 sons Titus Nzomo, Maurice Mwalyo and the late Festus Muumbwa and 7 daughters Josephine Mutisya, Damaris Nzioka, Susan Mule, Dorris Mwende of NGOs Board.,Lilian Wanza of Ministry of Agriculture, Gloria Mutile, Evelyne Kiluu. He was father in-law of Late Patrick Mutisya, Charles Muthusi of DCI Nairobi, Bernard Mule of Mombasa, Late Walter Malela, Late Nicholas Kivaya, Lucy Nzomo and Agnes Mwalyo. He has also left behind 22 grand-children and 8 great-grand- children.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Railway Sports Club – Annex Hall from 5.30 p.m for burial arrangements.

There will be a fundraising drive on Thursday 12/4/2018 for off- setting the medical bill at the same venue.

The Body leaves Montezuma Mortuary in Machakos on 14/4/2018 for his final resting place at Manyala village, Mumbuni, Mwala Sub-County in Machakos County.

He was father of late Stanley, David, Samuel and Joseph; and Regina, James, Elizabeth, Susan, Judy, Hellen, Ruth, George, Julius, Chepkoech, Chebet, Lilian, Simon, Hosea, Laban, Moses, Chepng’etich, Evelyne and Amos. He left behind several grand children and great grand children. It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Tyrus Mwendwa Kiliku which occurred on Friday 30th /03/2018 through a tragic road accident . Until his death he was an employee of KPA (Kenya Ports Authority) and Headquarter-zone Gender Representative at Dock workers Union.

He is survived by his beloved wife Manami Adachi and a daughter Yuna Mwikali. Son of the Late Hon. Joseph Kennedy Kiliku (Former M.P Changamwe/Secretary General Dock workers Union) and Mrs. Elizabeth Mwikali Kiliku. Son-in-law of Mr. Futoshi Adachi and Mrs. Kanemi Adachi . Brother of Stella Mueni, Mary Kavata, Mwende Kiliku and Daniel Mwangaza; brother-in-law of Takafumi Adachi, Yuka Adachi and the late Nelson Musili; uncle of Denim, Elizabeth, Nelva, Haruki and Mitsuki.

Step brother of Charity Wangu, Juliet Wanjiru and Christina Wangui. He was uncle to Tamara, Tyrone, Roxanne, Ivan, Ethan, Eric and Jayden.

Sister-in-Law to John Wanjohi, Peter Githigi, Late Sr. Florence Nderitu (SMI) Nyeridulius kariuki, Jeremiah Murandi, Tony Mubea and Henry Ireri.

She was beloved sister to Felista Mukonyo, the late Anastasia Mwikali and Raphael Wambua, Athanas Mutiso and Florence Muthue; beloved grandmother to Bill Keith Gathu, Jayden Gathu, Ahadi Akoth Nyong’o and aunty to many.

Friends and Relatives are meeting at her home in Kimbimbi town and the Cardinal Otunga Plaza Nairobi 7th floor from 5pm for prayers and organizing for the burial.

Requiem Mass will be held at Holy Family Basilica on Thursday at 10:00am.
