Dr Faith Mukami Mugwe – Kairu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dr Faith Mukami Mugwe-Kairu of College Station – Texas which occurred on January 2nd 2017 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands while travelling back to the USA with her family.

Beloved wife of Timothy Kairu Wanyoike. Mother of Mark Wanyoike, Ryan Mugwe and Emma Ngonyo.

Daughter of Mr George Mugwe and Mrs Mary Njambi of Nakuru. Sister of Catherine Muthoni, Anthony Muchiri, Susan Njeri, Jennifer Wanjiru and Nancy Waithera. Daughter in law of Mr Ernest Wanyoike and Mrs Margaret Ngonyo of Ruiru. Sister in law of Felister Wanjiru, Nicholas Ng’ang’a, Amos Ibinda and Anthony Gitau.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home on Saturday 14th January 2017 at 8.30am for funeral service and burial at her home in Ruiru, Kimbo-Murera near PCEA Church Murera Parish starting at 10.30am.

Betha Waruguru Njogu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Betha Waruguru Njogu of Gichiga-ini farm, Kariki sub-location, Chehe location, Karatina in Nyeri County on 9th January 2017 at 3am.

Wife of the late Robertson Njogu Ngare. Mother of Margaret Mariara, Esther Gathogo, Dr. Laetitia Kanja, late Stephen Ngare, late Eric Githinji, Jane Githagui, Phares Kabugi and Ephraim Kiara. Mother-in-law of Mariana, the late Gathogo, Kanja, Jane Ngare, Julia Githinji, Githagui, Lucy Kabugi and Ann Kiara.

Sister of the late Kiara Muhoro, late Kagure Karuki and late Wanduru Macharia. Grandmother of the Mariaras (Kiserian), Gathogos (USA), Kanjas (Nairobi), Ngares (Nyahururu), Githinjis (Karatina), Githaguis (Nairobi), Kabugis (Karatina) and Kiaras (Karatina) among others. Great grandmother of many.

Friends and family are meeting at her residence in Gichiga-ini farm. The Cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Mortuary Nyeri on 16th January 2017 at 8am for funeral Service at Kirathimo PCEA Church and thereafter burial at her Gichiga-ini farm.

 

Henry Kinyua

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr Henry Kinyua, former Managing Director of Kenya Planters Cooperative Union (KPCU). Son of the late Ismael M’Mugwika and Jane M’Mugwika.

Husband of Mary Kinyua and Karimi Kinyua. Loving father of Joy Karimi, Peter and Sophie Kinyua, George and Holly Kinyua and Makena Kinyua.

Grandfather of Tresor and Katusha Kavasha, Matthew and Alexa Kinyua and Aisha Kinyua.

He was brother of Sarah Gacheri, Grace Karea John, the late William Kithara, Reuben Mbaya, Charles Mworia of Mombasa, Stella Kinana Kirimi, Evangeline Tei Kimathi and Monicah Kinya Mugwika.

He was an in-law of the Mwirichias and the Mutumas.

Prayer meetings will be held today Thursday 14th and tomorrow Friday 15th at his Wispers, Runda Home from 6pm.

Memorial service will be held on Monday 16th at the Lavington United Methodist Church at 2pm. The Cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home in the morning of Tuesday 17th January 2017.

Funeral service will be held at Kinoru Church, Meru, at 11am followed by internment at his Kinoru Home.

Victoria Butembeshe Amita

Victoria Butembeshe Amita went to be with The Lord on the eve of 25th December 2016.

Her Funeral was supposed to be done on Saturday 7th January 2017, however due to unavoidable circumstances, she was not laid to rest. Hence the re-advertisement as stated below.

Daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul Amita Bukhumbale. Wife of Victor Nyali. A Loving and Adoring Mother of Clemence Katee, Vincent Cherera, Paul Amita and Harris Mwambeo.

A Loving Sister of Farida, Flavia, Aurelia lnzira, Benedict, Scholastica, Roslyn, Emmanuel, Dickson and Susan.

Sister-in-law of Abdalla, Tom, Patrick, Priscilla, Ngala, Stanley, Michael, the Cherera’s and Mwambeo’s among others. A loving Aunty and cousin of many.

The Funeral Service will be on Thursday 12th January 2017 at her home, Ivakale Village, Kakamega County from 9:00 am and thereafter her burial.

Joan Shikuku Ongullu Obongita

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Joan Shikuku Ongullu Obongita Teacher at St Martins Mumias School For the Deaf.

Adored wife of Patrick Obongita, Cherished daughter of the late Apollo Ongullu and Sarah Ongullu. Daughter-in-law of Hon. Francis Obongita (former MP Mumias), Mrs Rebbeca Obongita and Fridah Obongita. Mother of Susan, Rebecca and Francis Obongita. Sister of the late George, Ben, Christabel, James, the late Roseline, Christel Ongullu. The cortege leaves Mumias Mission Hospital Funeral Home on Friday 13th January 2017 at 10am for a requiem service at Christ The King Ekero at 11am.

Burial will take place at her Bumanyi home-near Ekero, Mumias Sub-County, Kakamega County on Saturday 14th January 2017.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Simon M’ Rikura which occurred on Wednesday 4th January 2017 at Consolata Mission Hospital, Nkubu.

Husband of Alice Karianyama from Mugurukia Village, Thuura Location, Nyaki East Ward, North lmenti District – Meru County. He was father of Sarah Mugambi, Nteere, Obadiah Rikura, Nancy Gitonga, Mwichuni Rikura, the late Joseph Rikura, Agnes Kajuju Mpuru, Kairuthi Gitonga, Mutuma Rikura and Catherine Mwirigi. Father in-law of late Mugambi, Nteere, Gitonga, Hon Mpuru Aburi, Gitonga Araya, John Mwirigi, Caroline Obadiah,Karambu Mwichuni and Ruth Mutuma. He has left behind 28 Grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home Mugurukia Village, Mikinduri St. Masimo Catholic Hall, Athwana and Muriri DC’s Hall.

The cortege leaves Nkubu Consolata Mission Hospital on Saturday 14th January 2017 at 8.00am for funeral service at M.C.K Kiamwitari Church, Thuura Location and burial thereafter at his home in Mugurukia Village, Thuura Location.

We regret to announce the untimely death of Hon Peter Mutua Kavisi, former MP for Mwala Constituency, Machakos County and one time Vice National Treasurer K.N.U.T.

Son of late Kavisi Nzau and the late Rhoda Nduku, Husband of Martha Mutio (London), Esther Wayua and Dorcas Mwende. Father of Mary Mwikali (London) Collins Ngao, Hon Michael Kavisi {ASP Umoja I MCA), Onesmus Mbithi, Tabitha Ndinda and Catherine nduku. Brother of Nzisa, Mumbi, Daudi Ngeke and the late Maingi.
