Bernard Kirai

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Bernard Kirai on 8th April 2021. Bernard was born in 1926 to Chabari Ndethiu and Mukwanjiru Chabari in Rwanderi Village, Muthambi Division, Tharaka Nithi County.

He was brother to the late Johanina Mumu, Susan Igoki and the late Desderio Kiraithe. He is survived by his wife, Biela Gaaji, their sons, James Gitonga, Japhet Njagi, Nicholas Mbabu and Hilary Kimathi and daughters, Nancy Gacheri, Doris Mumu, Saturina Nkinga and Faith Kaari. He was a father in law to Benjamin Njagi, Japhet Kangori, John Sikorei, Bishop Amos Onyango, Casterita Mukwanjeru, Francisca Kithei, Ann Kagwiria, Lucy Magi, Lucy Mbabu and MaryEsther Wawira. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mzee Kirai lived a full and warm life, filled with joy. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. May God rest his soul in eternal peace.

Burial will take place at Magundu Village, Tharaka Nithi County on 16th April 2021.

Son of the late Kiprotich asap Sorgor, the late Tangoi Tabarno Kobot Kirwa and the late Cheptoo Kobot Jebet. Loving husband of Gogo Monica Jepkemei Bitok. Doting father of Hellen Chepkwony, Philiph Kosgei Bitok, David Kosgei, Amb Prof. Julius Bitok, Emily Kutto, Nelly Too, Mike Yegoh, Dr. Stephen Bitok and Joy Bitok.

Brother to the late Bot Busienei, the late Kibitok Rigari, Kirwa Samoei, Kipserem Tuwel, Rosa Sang, Kipyego Bwalei, Kimeli Kibitok, Kipkering Kirwa, the late Kipkirong Samoei, Rosaline Jemeli, the late Dorcas Bungel, the late Emily Butia, William Kimaiyo, Kiplagat Maritim, Jebungei Koech and Clement Samoei.

Father-in-law of Richard Chepkwony, Irene Kosgei, Prisca Kosgei, Janet Bitok, Rev. Abraham Kutto, Julius Too, Violah Yegoh and Mercy Bitok. Grandfather of Faith, Kiprop, Victoria, Debra, Doxa, Pearl, Chemutai, Nathan and others. Great-grandfather of Aimee and Bijou.

The cortege leaves the Eldoret Hospital Mortuary, on 16th April, 2021, for his home Chemaluk Farm (Marura), Moiben Sub-county, Uasin Gishu County. Funeral service and burial will be on the same day from 9.00am.

Virginia Njeri M’iti

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Njeri M’iti, on the 9th April, 2021.

A Loving mother of Christine Gatakaa. Daughter of the late Herodian M’iti and Trizah Kangai Sister of the late Edwin Kaburu, the late Lucy Igoji, Sarah Kaari of Asidian, UK, Kenneth Micheni of Timekeeper Meru and Caroline Kawira of Britvic Int, UK. Sister-in-law to Mary Micheni, Joseph Muchibi. Auntie to Linet Nkatha, Lilian Makena, Morris Muriuki, Lisper Kageni, Sheila Kagendo, Prisca Mwende, Paula Kathomi and David Mutwiri. A niece, cousin, auntie and a friend to many.

The funeral and burial service will be held at her home in Chogoria, opposite Chogoria Boys High School, on Friday 16th April, 2021.

Samuel Mbuti Thaiya

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Samuel Mbuti Thaiya on Monday 12th April, 2021 after a short illness.

He was the son of the late Moses Thaiya Kanyi and Peris Wairigu Thaiya. Son-in-law to the late Mr. & Mrs. Sospeter Njenga Kaguru. He was loving husband to Lucy Wairimu Mbuti and a doting father to Jane Cate Nduta, Kevin Thaiya, Maureen Wambui Kuria and Rose Wanjiku. He was father-in-love to Duncan Kuria and Synthia Thaiya. Grandfather to Tabitha, joy, Grace, Emmanuel, David and Israel:He was brother to Rose Wanjiku, Loice Gathoni, Mary Njeri, Esther Wangari, Godfrey Njenga, Winnie Wambui, Eunice Nungari, Johnson Ng’ang’a, Joseph Kibue, Andrew Gitau and Charles Kamau. He was Uncle, Cousin and Friend to many.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Home on 15th April, 2021 at 9:00 AM. Funeral Service and burial will follow at his father’s farm in Ndumbu-ini, Uthiru from 11:00 AM.

Friends and family are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at his home in Uthiru, Reli Village.

Daddy you ran the race and we know you are in Heaven. For those we love don’t go away but always walk beside us, unseen, unheard but always near. Rest in eternal peace Dad.  

Robert Omari Kwamesa

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Robert Omari Kwamesa, on 9th April, 2021.

Son of Sergeant Stephen Kwamesa (Industrial Area Prisons) and Alice Bonareri. Brother of Dennis Nyakoiro, Josephine Nyaboke, Frank Abuga and Okenyuri Kwamesa. Loving uncle of Louis, Ethan, Bright, Lauryn, Alicia, Liam, Liyah and Eline. Nephew of the late Stanley Nyakoiro, the late Kwamboka, the late Queen, Kemuma, Samuel Omae, the late Joyce Nyatuka, the late Zablon, Caphenol, Milkah, Evans Ogwankwa (Director NYS), Gekonge, Gesare, Kefa (USA), Kemunto (Prisons), the late Matundura Peter and many others. Cousin of Ouko, Arasa, Nyongoina, Josinah, Magori, Moraa, Benard, Mokiria, Barongo, Duncan, Onchaga and Many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his father’s house at Industrial Area Prisons.

The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home on 15th April, 2021 for funeral service and Kwamesa. He will be laid to rest on 16th April, 2021, at Kibomet Kitale.

Rev. Moses Logongo Adagala (Englishman)

Born 15th May 1940 – Rested 6th April 2021

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the death of Rev. Moses Logongo Adagala which occurred on 6th April 2021 after a short illness bravely borne. He hails from Vihiga County, Busali Location, Itegero Sublocation.

Beloved husband of the Late Mabel Adagala and now Jennifer Kenda Adagala. He is the son to the Late Jairo Adagala and Mama Priscilla Muhonja. Brother to the Late Catherine Engefu, Late Absolom Adagala, Joseph Adagala, Late Aineah Lustgi, Late Herman Abamu, Grace Ingashiani Mudachi, Late Saul Miheso and Samuel Kedoiwa. Father to David Logongo, Humphrey Ruvungu, Mare Adagala, Caro Adagala and Kennedy Masolia. Father in Law to Jerusha Logongo, Marion Waweru, John Kay and Alice Malweyi. He is Grandfather to Ceepy Logongo, Tony Logongo, Christine Mudeytsi Ruvungu, Kathleen Nduta Ruvungu, Mina Makuna, Map Makuna, Michelle Makuna and Powell Masolia.

The Cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home (Mbagathii Branch) on Friday 16th April 2021 at 7.00am followed by a funeral service at Kabete Pentecoastal Assembly of God (PAG) District Headquarters at 8.00am. The body will thereafter be transferred to his home in Vihiga County for burial on 17th April 2021.

Date of Birth : 5/12/1952 – Rested on 9/4/2021

He was a pastor with AIC Kenya and a lecturer at Kenyatta University Kitui Campus.

Son of the late Samuel Mutisya Layu, Loise Mutambya Mutisya and Dorothy Nzasu Mutisya. Son-in-law to the late Tama and Katunge Tama, Husband to Jennifer Kaingi. Father to Munan’ye (KBC), Joel (Businessman Mombasa), Lydia (Pwani University) and Damaris (ADC).Brother to the late Nguli, the late Musee, the late Kanyaa, the late Munyalo, Mary, the late Mwoni, Muatha, Layu, musyimi, Mutui, Kimwele, late Muthina, Ngalia, Kathua, Betty, Kimanzi. Uncle to Anthony, Mutisya, Maithya, Munanie, Tama, Muyalo, Katunge, Mwende, Mutetei among others. Grandfather to Mumo and Muuo.

Retired SSP Raniel Titus Kituku (Mbaa Mama)

It is with humble acceptance of the demise of Retired SSP Raniel Titus Kituku (Mbaa Mama), while undergoing treatment at Kitui Level 5 Hospital, on 11th April 2021.

Son of the late Insp. Kituku Syengo and the late Agnes Vata Kituku. Loving husband of Susan Mumbua Titus. Loving father of Willy Titus, KavataTitus, Victor Titus and Monicah Titus. Brother of Mbesa Musia, Syengo Mumo Kituku, the late James. Step-brother of Benard, Katumbu, the late Boniface, the late Mwangangi, the late Mutua and, the late Maria, among others. Son-in-law of the late Philip Kitivo and the late Monicah Nzambi.

Brother-in-law of Munini, Mutisya, Muthoka, Mutiso and Muinde. Uncle of Mutie, Kimanzi, Alex, Syovata, Sammy, Nduku, Kituku, Katunge, Maliti, Muthina, Mutua, Samson, Monicah and Keffah. Cousin of Mbithi, Muema, the late Kilonzo and others.

Burial arrangements are ongoing at his home Kithambangii Village, Wikililye Location, Katulani Sub-county – Kitui County.

He will be buried at his home Wikililye (Kwa Mbaa Mama), on Thursday April 15th 2021, starting at 9.00am.

We regret to announce the untimely death of Peter Muange Mutiso (Director-Aspet school supplies ltd) which occurred on 6th April 2021 after a long illness.

Son to the late Mutiso Mutethya and late Alice Ndinda Mutiso. Husband to Agnes Mwikali Muange. Father to Kavoi, Josephine, Boniface. Father-in-law to Fridah and Gerishen. Grandfather to Malian, Ronnie, Ethan, and Myles. He was brother to Ngalyuka, Martha, Nditi, Flora, Beatrice, Nzyoka, Susan, Ann and Kioko. He was in-law to Mr. & Mrs Cosmus Kisavi. Son-in-law to Monica Ndavi. Cousin to Makau, Mulandi, Idah and Musyoki.

The body is lying at Montezuma funeral home -Machakos awaiting burial on the 17th April 2021 at his farm in Makueni county, Kaki division, Kivani location Makongo sub-location, Matangi village.

She was the daughter of Philip Pambu Wadeya and the Late Mama Dorice Ajwang’ Pambu of Nyakach Kandaria. She was wife to the Late Francis Okiro Imbo of Kobuya Mawego. She was the mother of Maurice Achiando, Victoria Onyango, the late Bonface Otieno, late cherles Omondi, late Roseline Ochieng, late John Ogweno, late Gideon Alango, late Silvance Ochieng, Peter Okeyo and Esther Ochieng.

She was sister to Nashon Pambu, Nehemia Pambu, Risper Ouko, Malachi Pambu, Helida Agandi and the late Hesbon Okoth pambu. Mama Peres was mother in law to Eliud Onyango of Gem, Joseph Ochieng of Kagan, Kennedy Ochieng of Nyakach Kasayee She was a cousin, an aunt, grand mother and great grand mother to many.

The body is lying at JOOTRH (Russia)Kisumu. She will be laid to rest on 16/04/2021 at her home in Kobuya Mawego.
