We regret to announce the sudden death of Elder Joseph Z. Mbogo Ndege of GHOMI Church. He hails from Nyaribari Chache Constituency, Nyakomisaro, and Kisii County.

Son of Mary Kemunto Ndege and the late Michael Benedict Ndege. Husband of Leonida Kwamboka Mbogo and son-in-law of the late Salome Nyakundi. Father of Jeanette, Bernadette, Michael and Margaret Ndege. Grandfather of Jaden and Maim.

Brother of Teresa & John Nyarandi, Moraa Knoll, Gemma & Dennis Moturi; George and Homalla Ndege; Rose Angela and Joel Agunda, Evelyn Nyatichi and William Onchera (MN,USA), David and Sarah Mosoti.

Brother-In-law of Clare and Daniel Matoke, Esther and the late Philip Matete, Justine and Prof Jerry Magutu, Antonina and Dr. Anthony Moire, Jacinta and Anselm Nyakundi, Irene and Steve Nyakundi, Fredrick Nyakundi and Roselyn Nyakundi. Nephew of Otero family (Bogeka), Obongo family (Amabuko). Doting uncle and loving cousin and great friend to many.

Joseph was a visionary and father figure to many.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, on Friday 2nd April, 2021 at 5.00am for his home in Nyakomisaro, Kisii County, for interment on the same day, at 2.00pm.

It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the passing on to the glory of Dr. Patrick Mutura Njau of Ruiru. He is the former Chief Officer for Agriculture and Livestock at Kiambu County, Ag National Director of Veterinary Service, Provincial Director for Veterinary and a District Veterinary Officer in various Districts.

He was the son of Paul Njau Thinguri and Edith Wanjiku Njau. He was brother to Ruth Njeri, the late Elizabeth Mwihaki Warwathe, the late Samuel Thinguri, the late John Kagwima, the late Lucy Wangari, Peter Kuria and James Mathu. Father to Grace Wanjiku and Peris Wanjiku

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home along Thika Superhighway on Friday 2nd April,2021 at 8.am. The funeral service will be held at his home in Gwa airu Makutano Junction at 10.am and thereafter the burial will take place at the same venue.

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of human mortality that we announce the passing on of our beloved George Cleophas Otieno Maroko, on the 21st of March, 2021, due to illness.

Until his demise, he was a Professor at several Universities in the Department of International Relations, Public policy, Peace and Security Studies. Many remember him to be a happy warm and Friendly person who easily made friends. He also previously worked at The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Ambassador at Several missions.

Son of the late Cleophas Maroko and the late Phelesia Ododa. He is survived by his wife Grace Akech Maroko and his children: Feline Maroko, Catherine Maroko, Arthur, Cleophas Maroko, Isaiah Maroko, Phoebe Achieng Maroko, Aaron Maroko, Gabriel Maroko and his grandson Caleb. He will be greatly missed.

On 1st April, 2021 we will have a Memorial mass or him at KU Teaching and Referral Chapel, which is at the hospital, from 8:30am, after that we shall travel back to the Village in Uholo for burial at Got Osimbo, after Ugunja, on Friday on the 2nd April, 2021.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Mr. David Ngumo Wachira, on Monday 29th March, 2021, at Mater Hospital Nairobi. He hailed from Mumbuini Sub-location, Chinga Location, Othaya Sub-county, Nyeri County.

Son of the late Philip Mwaria & the late Lucy Njeri. Loving husband of Mrs Jenerica Wangeci Ngumo. Father of Maurice Maina, Patrick Kihumba, Amos Kinyingi, Shem Ruthiru and Janet Njeri. Father-in-law of Mary Nyambura, Faith Njeri, Patricia Muthoni, Agnes Njoki and Eric Gitau. Grandfather of Ian, Wangeci, Wachera, Kaleb, Khena, Josh, Lee, Alex, Halake, Laban, Jenna, Essy, Jesse, Willy, David, Terri, Tamara, Joel & Tayana.

Brother of the late Paul Kinyingi, the late Andrew Kabuu, Wangari Thuku, the late Wahiga Mugo and Lucas Kahero. Son-in-law of the late Godfrey Kihumba and the late Grace Njoki. Brother-in-law of Jane Wanjiku, Christopher Maina, George Macharia, Francis Gacheru, James Kiiru, Mary Nyambura and Joseph Kiambo.

The cortege will leave KU Referral (by pass), at 6.00am, on Saturday, 3rd Apri1,2021 for a funeral service that will follow at his Chinga Dam home.

Niece to Hon. Jimmy and Ruth Angwenyi, Dunstan and Mercy Nyakundi, Kefah and Kemuma Oruru, Ireneus and Daphine Angwenyl, Ken and Josephine Makaya, Edwin and Nyaboke Okombo. Granddaughter to the Late Lawrence & Cresensia Gichana, Nyakarica, Oigo, John Gichana, Pauline Martha, Michael Openda, Ongombe, the late Mayaka Omingo, the late Celine Omwenga among others.

The cortege leaves Nyang’ena Hospital on 6th April 2021 for burial on 7th April 2021 at Bonyagatanyi, Nyakoe.

Loving wife of David Njoka Warui and beloved mother of Tabbie Masidza (Family Bank) and Ian Masidza (Central Bank), the late Thomas Warui and Clement Njoka (St Augustine Mangu). Doting grandmother of Shawn Njoka and Zamar Masidza.

Daughter of the late Clement Kalani Lubembe and the late Betty Wanjiku Lubembe. Daughter-in-law of the late Peter Warui Njoka and Tabitha Wachinga Warui. Sister to Emmanuel and Ruth, Kenneth and Linet, the late Boniface, Arthur and Lucy, the late Rosemary, Patrick and Fiona, the late Michael and Alice, Adetola and Margaret Adeyemi, and Edward. Sister-in-law to the late Joseph and Jane Kamau, Eston and the late Joyce Kamau, Ruth and Peter Huizinga, Faith Warui, Lillian and Oscar Ndungu, the late Charles Kagwanja, Susan and Julius Macharia.

She was a cousin, aunt, friend, colleague and confidant who touched many lives in a great way.

A virtual memorial service will be today Thursday 1st April 2021 from 2pm to 4pm. Details of final funeral rites will be announced then.

Dr. Mwarandu is the presiding Bishop of the Lord’s Gathering Fellowship Church (LGFC), Ministry, Nairobi, Kenya and a dedicated Member of All African Bishop’s Council (South Africa).

Beloved husband of Rev. Chritine Egah Mwarandu. A loving father of Apostle Abednego Katana, Pastor Gideon Kakala, Melechzedeck Ngao, Jeramiah Mwarocha, Modecal Mwamumbo, John Mvurya. Brother of Bishop Thomas Kakala (Malindi), Bishop Jame Chigodi (Kilifi), Rev. Fredrick Charo (Taveta), Rev. Jonathan Kala (Kinango). Father-in-law of Winnie Muema Katana, Brenda Muindu Kakala, Brenda Wavinya Ngao, Faridah Hassan Mwarocha and Faith Kimeu Mwamumbo.

Grandfather of Christie Egah Katana, Florah Pendo Katana, Favor Imani Katana, Morris Mwarandu Jr Kakala, Thomas Tsumah Kakala, Faraja Egah Ngao, Rathia Nzilani-Mwarocha, Kasper Mwarandu-Mwarocha and Nathan Mwangoa- Mwamumbo. Son-in-law of the late Mzee John Mvurya and Mama Raheli Mvurya.

Burial will take place on 3rd April, 2021, at his home Horohoro village in Lunga Lunga, Kwale County.

Condolences Book for family and friends has been opened at the Bishop’s Residence in Nairobi Akila 3, Estate, House Number 13, South C and at the Lord’s Gathering Fellowship Church on Outer Ring Road Off Kangundo Junction, Opposite Total Petrol Station.

The late Bibiana hailed from Kitunduni Village, Mutulu location in Matinyani Kitui County. She was Headteacher at Ithemboni Primary School, Mbooni Sub-county, Makueni County.

Wife to Benjamin Mutua Mutunga. She was daughter to the late Mutua Kongo and the late Lucia Mutua. Daughter-in-law to the late Joseph Mutunga Mbuta and Viata Mutunga. Beloved mother to Joseph Mutunga, Aidah Viata, Lucy Muthoni, Samson Kavili and Charles Kongo. Mother-in-law to Eng. Vincent Mutua and Fred Munuve. Sister to Sabina, Julius, Ngumbau, Daudi, the late Mary Mutua, the late Mwanzia, Brenda, Mbondo, Masaa, Alex and Julius Mutua.
