It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of (Rtd) Rev. Johnson Nyutu Muhia of Nakuru East Presbytery, Umoja Lanet Parish.

Rev. Nyutu previously served in the following Presbyteries; Tumutumu (1980, 2004), Nakuru (1985, 1988, 2013), Kikuyu (1987), Nanyuki (1989), Elburgon (1992,1997), Western Kenya (2000).

Son of Joshua & Eunice Muhia (deceased). Adored husband to Elder Grace Nyutu. Loving father to Joshua Ernest Muhia (Saoset Sch., Kipkelion), Eunice & the late John Karari (Kahuhia Girls) and Joan & Rev. Philip Mwaura (Mamlaka Hill Chapel). Grandfather to Favor & Queen Grace Karari and Tashley & Wema Mwaura. Brother to Stephen Muikamba (Subukia), Peris Kimani (Elburgon), Stephen Waweru (Ndundori), Martha Wairimu (Naivasha), Nelson Muigai (Njoro), Naomi Nduta (Njoro) and Simon Njihia (Njoro).

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangement at PCEA Imani Church, Lanet Umoja (II) from 4pm.

Memorial services to celebrate his life and ministry are planned as follows: Monday, 15th March 2021, 5pm-6:30pm at Mamlaka Hill Chapel (City Campus) which will also be Livestreamed via Youtube and Wednesday, 17th March 2021 at PCEA Imani, Lanet Umoja 2 from 3pm.

Burial service shall be held on Thursday, 18th March 2021 at PCEA Munanda, Elementaita Kiambogo Church from 10am.

All MOH guidelines and protocols will be observed in all gatherings.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of The Rev. Dr. Humphrey Irungu Muraguri, Vicar of A.C.K. Good Samaritan Komarock Parish.

He was the son of the Late Gibson Muraguri Ngacuku and Irene Wambui.

Husband to Rev. Alice Wangui Irungu (Mt Kenya West Diocese). Father to Emmanuel Muraguri, Anna Irene Wambui and Edwiner Wambui.

Brother to the late Lilian Wanjiku, Bishop Elijah Njiri, Rev. Enoch Chege, Caroline Muthoni, Late Fidelis wangari, late Eauticus Mugo, Purity Wachera, Millicent Waithera, Tirus Theuri, Elizabeth Njoki and Benson Kungu. Son in law to the Late Ibrahim Muraria Chege and Late Priscilla Wambui Muraria.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on the 16th March 2021 at 8:00 am. The burial and funeral service will be held in Ruai (26 Area) Nairobi starting at 11am.

Sister to Sam Kinoti (Meru), Peter Mutwiri (Kiritiri), Luka and Lucy Kimathi (Mitunguu), Lucy Kithinji (Kathera Boys), Cyprian Mwenda (Meru), Christine Karimi (Kisumu) and Bridget Karwitha (Mombasa).

She was sister in-law to Jane Mutwiri, Lucy Kimathi, Dorothy Kawira, Rosalind Gikunda and Nicholus Gikunda, Fridah Naitore and Mr Mugendi (Kanyuambora) and Eric and Kinanu Mwenda (Nairobi). Aunt to Kathurima, Mercy, Mutembei, Tonny, Polly, Kimathi, Kendi, Mwenda, Praise, Bundi, Kiende, Koome, Mukiri, Linus Kithinji, Makena and Betty, Blessing Karimi, Mugambi, Kinya, Fadhili. The cortege leaves Kiirua Mission Hospital mortuary on Tuesday 16th March, 2021 at 9.00am for the funeral service at M.C.K Kioru and be laid to rest thereafter at her home Kithirune village, Meru Central.

She was a daughter of the late Senior Chief Joseph M’Anampiu Kaigwala and the late Elizabeth Nankui. Adorable mother to Linet Makena of Nairobi. Sister, Sister in Law, Aunt, Cousin, Friend to Many. Grandmother to Dashiell Ndumia Kimani.

Family and Friends are meeting daily at her home in Riruta, opp. Kinyanjui Primary School from 5pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Thika funeral home on Wednesday, 17th March 2021. There will be a service at home and thereafter burial in Tigania East on the same day.

Son in law to Nathan Ondiko Kiriago (Southview School Nyamarambe) and Theresa Ondiko (Riotero SDA Sch.). Kennedy was a devout member of Newlife SDA Church 5th Avenue Ngong road. He worked with Kenindia Assurance Company ltd (Nrb).

He married Edwinah Ondiko (GTBank Kenya ltd) and together they were blessed with 3 beautiful children- Jasmine (Riara Primary School), Junior and Emmanuel. Brother to Jones Onsongo, Daniel Obwangi, the late Mayega, Justus Otieno(MOH Vihiga), Damaris Moraa (MOH Bondo) and Vane Kemuma. Nephew to the late Omwando Otieno, James Kerindo, the late Lawrence Mokaya, Mong’ina Otieno, Teresa Otieno, the late Barongo, Jemima, Jane, Benson Onsongo and Rebecca. Semo to Eng.
