Charles Muriuki Kamau (Uhuru)

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of our beloved Charles Muriuki Kamau (Uhuru), of Kenya Ports Authority, he hails from Kiburu Village Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County, which occurred on 04th November, 2020 following a short illness.

Husband of Eunice Micere Muriuki a teacher at Kiburu Primary School. Loving son of the late Wilfred Kamau Kamonde and Stellah Wanjiku Kamau. Brother of John Muriithii Kamau, Benson Mwai Kamau, Lydiah Njeri Muriuki, Mary Wangui (Wangwaci), Nancy Wangithi John and Ruth Muthoni Muthike. Father of Wilfred Kamau Muriuki and Hiram Murimi Muriuki (Bureau Veritas (K) Ltd). Father-in-law of Sarah Wanjiku Kamau. Grandfather of Mercy Wanjiru Kamau, Eunice Micere Kamau and Many others. Son-in-law of Hiram Muriuki Miano , the late Hada Muthoni Muriuki and Mary Wamuyu Muriuki.

The cortege will leave Kibugi Funeral Home, Kutus on Thursday 12th November, 2020 at 9:00am. The funeral service and burial will be held at his home at Soko ‘Mjinga’ Kiandai Village in Ndia at 10.00am.

Agnes Gathoni Ngunjiri

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our mother, grandmother and friend Agnes Gathoni Ngunjiri of Munyaka Farm, Nanyuki.

She was the daughter to the late Simeon Muraguri and the late Joyce Nyokabi.

She was the loving wife to Daniel Ngunjiri Mbuthia.

Sister to the late Charles Kariuki, Perpetual Wairimu, late Charity Wanjiru Githae, Irene Wanjiru, Francis Muriuki, late William Ngatia, Anthony Mathenge, late David Ngatia Muraguri, late Penina Wanjiku, late Gerald Kinyua and Robert Wachira.

Loving mum to Lucy Wathote, Joyce Nyokabi, Catherine Wanja, Joseph Mbuthia, Angeline Shirako Mbuthia.

Grandmother to Letoya Mbuthia, Imali Makotsi, Daniel Ngecu, Kelvin Mbuthia, Joy Gathoni. A doting great grandmother to Tajeu Kiragu.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing at the family home in Nanyuki. She will be laid to rest on 13 November 2020 at 11am.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Stephen Njiru Karuri (Kithinde)

We are sad to announce the death of Stephen Njiru Karuri (Kithinde), on October 28th, 2020 following a long illness bravely fought.

Husband of Lydia K. Njiru (KUSSCO), Embu. Father of Skeeter Njiru and Denis Karuri. Father-in-law of Doris Nyambura. Grandfather of Shawnn and Duke, Edrick. Son of the late Leona Karuri and Mary Wambogo. Brother of Anastasia, Joseph, the late John, Ester and lzaak. Brother-in-law of lzaak Anyona, Francis Anyona (Treasury), Susan, Dorocas and Gikunda, among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral preparations at his Gakwegori home, in the outskirts of Embu Town and Sunrise Comfort Hotel, opposite Karuri (Kithinde) Family Bank, Embu Branch, daily starting from 5.00pm. The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home in Nairobi on Thursday November 12th, 2020 for funeral service at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Embu Town and there after burial at his Gakwegori home in the afternoon the same day.

Prof. Samuel Kariuki Kabuitu

Sunrise: 2nd March 1951- Sunrise: 5th November 2020

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Prof. Samuel Kariuki Kabuitu after a short illness bravely borne, who was an Associate Professor Department of Biological Science at Egerton University Njoro that occurred on the 5th November 2020 while undergoing treatment at the Karen Hospital.

He was loving husband to Mrs. Lydia Kariuki, son of the late Thomas Kabuitu and the late Hannah Thomas of Gitaraga Village, Kirinyaga County. Father to Carole and Godwin Karuga, Charles Maina, Beatrice and Samuel Gakungo, Robert and Catherine Karuga. He has left three grandchildren; Stephen Ngare, Nia Nyawira & Ina Kariuki. He was brother to Virginia Wambura, the late Elizabeth Warnuyu Thomas, Jason and Tabitha Mwangi, Eston and Emily Wanjohi, Faith and Prof. Julius Wanjohi, Justus Gichu, Diana and Godfrey Gitogo. Prof. Kariuki was a dear uncle and a cousin to many.

Meetings will be held at St. Andrews Church in Nairobi at 5pm on 11th, 13th and 16th November 2020; every day at his Nakuru residence and Kamoro home.

Burial will take place at his Kamoro home, Kariti Ward, Mita West, Kirinyaga County at 11.00am on Wednesday 18th November 2020.

Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Brother of the late Absalam Murage, Tabitha Karingo Githinji, Elizabeth Wainol Gaite, Isaiah Muriuki Gaite, the late John Kamotho, Elishiba Muriu, Pastor Perminus Gathaiya, Naomi Wanjiku, Mary Waruguru and Abigael Kaguu. Father of Ismael Gaite (Golden Touch-Kerugoya/Embu), Edward Karimi (Eddy’s Men’s Wear Kagumo), Mercy Wakuthli (Britam), Francis Muchlri (Gaite Stores) and Catherine Njeri (Gaite Stores). Father-in-law of Elizabeth Wanjiku Gaite (Golden Touch-Kerugoya), Eunice Njeri Karimi (Eddy’s Men’s Wear, Kagumo), Esther Wanjiru Muchiri (Waigirl Primary) and the late Kimanl Nduati. The cortege will leave ACK Mt. Kenya Funeral Home, Kerugoya on Thursday 12th November, 2020 rat 9.00am.The funeral service will be held at ACK St John’s Kagumo Church at 10:00 am followed by Burial at his Kamuiru farm Next to Kamuiru Primary School.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Nebert Obwoyere Agesa (Obote), on 08th November, 2020.

Son of the late Geoffrey Agesa and Respah Agesa of Lutego Village. Loving husband of Janet Adego (Vihiga H/Centre). Father of Eisten Mujumba, Eileen Ingaiza (Vihiga County Teaching and Referral Hospital) and Mark Agesa (Hambale Primary School). Grandfather of Olive. Brother of Benard Agesa, Allan Vidonyi, Dr. Ruth Agesa (Ministry of Education, HQ), Lydia ikgesa (Ministry of Education, West Pokot), Kennedy Shera, Ann Bulimu, Rinah Agesa, Edger Havi, Josephine Andia and Andrew Agesa. Brother-in-law of Margaret, Gladys, Lilian and Clarke. Uncle of Many.

The body is lying at JOORAH Mortuary. The cortege leaves the Mortuary on Friday, 13/11/2020 for his home. Burial is on 14th November, 2020 at his home in Lutego Village kumba Sub-Location, Central Maragoli Location, Vihiga County.

We regret to announce the passing on to glory of Muchiri K. Waithaka (Titus Waithaka), on 08/11/2020, at Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi. He hails from Wahundura Village, Gathuya Sub-location, Kamacharia Location, Mathioya Sub-County, Muranga County.

Son of the late Githaiga Makena and the late Edith Gathoni Githaiga. Husband of Agnes Wacheke (Buruburu, Nairobi). Father of Edith Opiko (USA) and Charles Githaiga. Father-in-law of Levi Opiko (USA) and Sylvia Gachanja (Child Fund). Grandfather of Lauren Opiko, Avery Opiko and Kien Waithaka. Brother of Erastus Makena (Nakuru) the late Josphine Macharia, Julia Maina, Kahiro Githaiga, Esther Githinji, Kiiru Githaiga and Macharia Githaiga (USA). Brother-in-law of Peter Gatuhi, Joseph Mwariri, Njeri Mburu and IreneWachu all of Kona Baridi Kiserian.A Cousin, Uncle and a friend to many.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday 11/11/2020 at 2.00pm at ACK St. James Church Buruburu.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Kabati at 8.00am on Friday 13th November, 2020 for Church service at ACK St. James Kiria Church and thereafter interment at his farm Kahuro, Kiria Wahundura same day.

Son of the late Mr. Stanley Thuku and the late Mrs. Teresia Wanjiru Thuku. Brother of Stephen Maina Thuku and Josephine Wanjeri Thuku (JT). Husband of Judy Mbodza. Loving father of Teresia Wanjiru, Martha Tai and Josephine Wanjeri. Cousin of Muchai, Mungai, Njoki, among others. Brother-in-law of His Excellency Mike Sonko, Susan Wambui, Francis Saha, among others. Uncle of Stanley Mbuvi, Stephen Mbuvi, among others. Gladys Mokua Mong’are Maseno

Nephew of Kate Clement, Ken Wakari, Christine Chaiti, Caroline Nyambura, Lilian Wainaina, Eva Chaiti Njoroge. Cousin of Mathew Komu, Jeremy Njoroge, Nataly Wambui, Jason Wainaina, Abraham Njoroge, Mary Fatuma Karanja.

Family and friends are meeting for funeral arrangements, at Ibis One in Karatina, from 7:00pm, starting 10th Tuesday and Wednesday 11th November, 2020.

The cortege leaves Karatina Jamii Hospital, at 7.00am, on Thursday 12th November, 2020 for burial in Pesi, Nyahururu (Gwa Kung’u). The burial will be on the same day, from 10.00am.
