Leonard Maigua King’ori (Shalom)

(Sunrise 1954 – Sunset 2020)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition to Glory of Leonard Maigua King’ori (Shalom) who passed on 17-09-2020 following a short illness.

Beloved son of the late King’ori Karuga and Teresia Wanja. Loving Husband of Ann Wanjiru Maigua, Dad to Eunice Njoki Maigua and Winnie Wanja Maigua. Brother of John, Daniel and the late Francis. Father-in-law of Patrick Githinji, Grandfather of Leornard Maigua and Maliq Githinji.

Friends and family are meeting at his home in Kitale at 4:30PM.

Burial service will be held at Kitale Progressive Primary School at 9AM on 23rd September and there after laid to rest at his farm in Kitale (Lessos).

Johnson Kariuki Nyaggah

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we celebrate promotion to glory of Johnson Kariuki Nyaggah at Nairobi Hospital on Wednesday 16th September, 2020.

Son of the Late Amos Nyaggah Njanja and the late Esther Wambogo Amos. Son in law of the late Fredrick Magambo Kiriamiti and Evangeline Magambo. Loving and caring husband to Harriet Kanyua Nyaggah (formerly of Nairobi Hospital) Father to Cynthia Wakiyo Nyaggah (KUAT) and Richard Muthomi Nyaggah (Nairobi School). Beloved brother of the late Tukiko Muthee, Felice Wandia, the late Prof. Azariah Nyaggah, the late Lydiati Muthanje, James Njagi Nyaggah, Zipporah Rwamba, Jane Ruguru (USA) and Naomi Wandia. He was brother in law of LoiseThira, the late Gachenge Mugo, Lynette Nyaggah (USA), Anne Nyaggah, Pius Nyaga(USA), John Ngware, Meru Mbutii, Joyce and Andriano Kaburu, Mary and Mumma Kiriamiti, Jane and the late Murithi Magambo, Alice Kathambi, Florence Kanana and Joseph Magambo.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangement at his home at Nthunguri village, Gicherori Sub – Location, Kibugu location, Nginda Division of Embu County. A similar meeting is being held in Nairobi with the family.

A memorial service will be held at ACK All Saints Cathedral on Thursday 24th September 2020 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral home – Thika Road on Friday 25th September 2020 at 7:00am for church service at ACK St Matthews’ Church- Ndunduri to be held from 9.00 am. The body shall be laid to rest at his family home in Nthunguri Village, Kibugu Location of Embu County thereafter.

Edward Kimani Kariuki

It is in acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Edward Kimani Kariuki that occurred on 19th September 2020 at the Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.

The first born son of the Late Edward Kariuki Kimani and Mary Kanyi Kimani, of Mumwe Farm, Kiambu. The eldest brother of Elizabeth Wanjiru, Tabitha Nduta (Geminia Insurance Co. Ltd), the Late Grace Nyambura, the Late Nelson Ngugi, Njeri Kimani (Mbagi Ltd), the Late Simon Ngugi, the Late Jane Wanjiku and Paul Njenga. Husband of Leah Wanjiku Kimani. Father of Rosalind Wambui, Mary-Jayne Kanyi & David Gitau and Victor Kariuki. Grandfather of Chege, Esther, Hope, Imani and Brigitte and many others. Uncle Mani to Muchene, Wambui & Kanyi; Diana & Mburu, Kanuri &Wambui; Kanyi & Sam and Edd among many others. He was a relative and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting at his home in Rukubi Village, Kanyariri Sub- Location in Kiambu County.

Edward will be laid to rest on Thursday 24th September 2020, at his home in Rukubi Village, Maina Road from Noon. The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday at 9am.

It is with acceptance of the God’s will that we the Weya family announce the passing on of Dan Ojode Weya which occurred on 12th September 2020 at Kenyatta National Hospital after a short illness.

Son to the late Mzee Norman Ojode Weya and the late Mathilda Akello and Teresia Adipo Ojode of Uriya Village, West Ugenya. Husband to Josephine Adhiambo (Mariestopes, Nairobi). Father to Kenneth Otieno Ojode, Matilda Atieno Ojode, Vincent Otieno (KPLC), Evans Oduor (JKUAT), Grace Adhiambo, Goreti Akoth and Nancy Aluoch. Son-in-law to the late Aggrey Omogi and Mama Jenifer of Uriya Village, West Ugenya. Brother to Florence Ojode, the late Dave Weya, late Mrs Fransisca Indeche, the late George Norman Owuor, the late Lucas Otieno Auki and James Oduor Weya. Step siblings Mary Auma, the late Gabriel Otieno and Emanuel Ochieng.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at 2.00PM at Dan’s residence Kaloleni R4 under the stewardship of our Lady of visitation church, Makadara.

The cortege will leave Chiromo Funeral Home at 6.00AM on Friday 25th September for burial on Saturday the 26th September 2020 at Uriya Village west Ugenya.

The family of Magambo Ochumba is saddened by the untimely death of Benard Otieno Magambo of Kisegi School, Gwassi-North Location, Homa-Bay County which occurred on 11/09/2020 at Nightingale Hospital Milimani Kisumu.

Son to Mzee Raphael Magambo Ochumba and Mama Consolata Omogo (Both deceased). Husband to Phoebe Auma Magambo and the late Carolyne Magambo. Father to Alice Magambo (USA), Anne Magambo (Kenya National Library Service), Seth Magambo (USA), Emma Magambo (USA), Winnie Magambo, Richard Magambo and Sam Magambo (USA). Brother to Nathaniel Arogo, Donald Magambo, Tobias Magambo, late Adhiambo Magambo, late Adongo Magambo, late Siprina Magambo, late Asenath, Sibia, Miriam and Rebecca. Son of the late Mubia wa Gachuru and the late Wamburu wa Mubia. Husband to Hellen Wangui, the late Jennifer Nyambura and Margaret Wanjiku. Father to Nancy Wacera, John Mwangi, Anne Nyawira, Mike Maina, David Wanjohi, Stanley Wachlra, Faith Wairimu (USA), Gladys Wanjiru, Anthony Muchiri, Anne Nyawira, Kevin Waithaka, Joseph Waweru, Kevin Muchiri, Anne Nyawira, and Collins Kabochi.

He was a husband to Hellen Nyaboke. Father to Esther, Job, Elijah and Zachariah. Grandfather to Christine, Fidel, Elsie, Kelly among others. He was son to the late Zachariah Onteri and late Christine Nyakambi. Brother to the late Achwata, Bochaberi and Samuel.

His uncles are late Matini, late Mounde, late Masara, Mitaki, Dr Martini, the Masaras, the Marasis, His aunties are late Marcella, late Nyanganyi, Salome and Teresa. His cousins are the Mitakis, Masaras, Dr Mounde, Dr Janet, the Nyakeris, the Anuris, Monyoncho among others.
