With humble acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the Transition to Glory of John Kaminja Mugui, formerly of KMTC, Nairobi, who passed on 14th September 2020.

Son of the late Moses Mugui and the late Annah Wangari. Beloved husband of Mary Murugi. Father of Jamlick Muthoga, Judy Muthoni (UK), Dr Caroline Kaminja and Dr David Momanyi. Grandfather of Destiny Murugi, Liberty Wangari (UK), Evannah and Zanetta Momanyi. Brother of Gladys Wanjiru, late Amos Thuku, James and Lydia Mwangi, Elias and Margaret Njoroge and the late Alice Nduta. Son-in-law of the late Peter Muthoga and the late Esther Njeri. Brother in-law of the late Jonah Nderitu, Margaret Nderitu, Justice Lee Muthoga, the late Charity Muthoga, Manasseh and Joyce Muhari, William Kabue, the late Margaret Wangare, the late Japheth Mureke and Lydia Wambui. In law of Joseph and Margaret Maganjo, Dr Ezekiel and Teresa Orwenyo. Cousin of Charles Kariuki, Geoffrey Kaminja, Daniel Kaminja, Daniel Mbuthia among others. Uncle to many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020, at 8:00 am. Burial will take place on the same day at Rwegetha, Gatanga in Murang’a County.

Elizabeth Wanja Mwamba

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Wanja Mwamba.

Wife of the late Daniel Mwamba. Mother of Francis Miriti Daniel, Obed Gitonga, the late Zipporah Muthoni, Marehemu Phineas Mbae, Faith Mugure, Moderator of PCEA Church Rev. Dr. Julius Guantai Mwamba, the late Josephine Ngeta, Ashford Kaburu and Catherine Jkuene. Daughter of the late M’magana and Zipporah Gakiru. Sister of Bilia Kajau Misheck, M’ikiugu M’magana and Rael Karimi Benard. Mother-in-law of the late Miriam Miriti, Margaret Gitonga, Sarah Mbae, Marehemu Julius Kirimi, Mercy Guantai and Josphine Kaburu. Grandmother of Betty, Kathure, Nkirote, Kimathi, Makena, Muthuri, Juddy, Kiogora, Gaki, Dr. William, Mwenda, Mercy, Nancy, Kanana, Ngugi, Gacheri, Kiogora, Muthomi, Nkatha, Ntinyari, Murimi, Brenda, Weddy, Shalon, Mwirigi na Muthomi. Great-grandmother of 36 and aunty to many.

Family and friends will have a funeral meeting at PCEA St. Andrews Nairobi on Tuesday 22nd September 2020 at 10.00a.m and at home meetings will be at Macee Village, Yururu, Kanyakine area, Imenti South Sub-County, Meru, and at Rev Mwamba’s Chuka home.

The cortege leaves PCEA Chogoria Hospital of Thursday 24th September 2020 at 8.00a.m followed by burial ceremony at Yururu Primary School followed by the burial rites at her home.

It is God who gave us mama Elizabeth Wanja Mwamba, and it is God who has taken. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Elizabeth Achieng Were

Sunrise 21st March 1961 – Sunset 15th September 2020

With great thanksgiving and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the departure of Elizabeth Achieng Were which occurred on the 15th of September 2020 at Cherangany Nursing Home, Kitale. She was a senior Lecturer at Kenya Methodist University and at the College of Human Resource Management.

Daughter of the late Phyllis Nakimweyi Were and the late Albert Oduori Were. Daughter-in-law of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Muchoki. Sister of the late James Were, Margaret, Grace, Harrison, David and Pamela Were.

Wife of Julius Kahindo Muchoki. Mother to Collins Muchoki and Albert Were. Sister-in-law of Jane, Rosemary, Michael, Dedan and Elizabeth Muchoki. Grandmother of Armani Kahindo Muchoki among others. Cousin of many.

The burial will be on Wednesday, 23rd September 2020 at her matrimonial home in Murang’a.

She will be greatly missed. In God’s hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever. Rest in eternal peace.

Annah Mukii Kavuku

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory of Annah Mukii Kavuku on Tuesday the 16th September 2020 after a short illness.

She was the beloved wife to retired Bishop Daniel Kabuku Kimwele, loving mum to David & Joyce Kimwele, Bishop Dr. David and Eunice Mutisya, Josiah Mutunga, Maurice & Rhoda Kisingu, Kefah and Angela Kavuku & Muraguri & Florence Gitari. She was the grandmother to Lucy, Annah, Barbara, Sammy, Betty, Dylan, Dyan, Ryan, Muthoni, Tehilla, David and Lisa.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the home of Daniel Kabuku Kimwele at Syongila, Kitui County.

There will be a celebration of her life at 10am on Wednesday the 23rd of September 2020 at ACK St. Paul’s Mother Church Syongila Church. Thereafter burial will follow at her matrimonial home at Kya Mwiu village-Syongila, Kitui central sub county, Kitui county

Alice Njeri Gichigi

It with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Alice Njeri Gichigi that occurred on 17th September 2020 after a short illness while undergoing treatment at Consolata Hospital Mathari Nyeri.

Daughter of the late Ndirangu Njaga and the late Wanjiru Nyaga. Wife of the late Joseph Gichigi Muhoro. Mother of the late John Muhoro, the late Patrick Kibui, Margaret Wanjiku, Simon Muguku and Moses Nyaga. Sister of Muthoni Kibui, Nyaga Kibui, Gachagua Kibui, the late Murage, Mudithi and Kiboi. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Gura, Karima Location, Othaya Nyeri County for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Consolata Hospital Mathari Nyeri Mortuary on Thursday 24th September 2020 at 8.00am for funeral service to be held at Karima Catholic Church and burial thereafter at her home in Gura, Karima Location, Othaya Nyeri County.

Alice Gathoni Kimani

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Alice Gathoni Kimani formerly of Posta Kenya.

She was the wife to Henry Kimani Muraguri of Naaro High School. Mother to Pauline Muthoni, Gladys Sally Wanjiku and Charles Muraguri. Daughter to the late Charles Ndarwa and the late Gladys Gaciku, daughter-in-law to Elias Muraguri and Pauline Muthoni.

Sister to Margaret Njeri, the late Isaac Mburu, Florence Wanjiru, Lawrence Kinyungu, Wilfred Njoroge and Richard Gitau. Sister-in-law to the late Julius Gitau, Peter Gachau, Faith Wambui, the late Jeremiah Njoroge, Catherine Waithera, Mary Wairimu, Naomi Wanjiru and Esther Wanjiku.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her family home near Kabati Township.

The cortege leaves Monalisa Montezuma Funeral Home along Thika-Nairobi Highway on Wednesday 23rd September 2020 at 8:30 am. The church service will be held at ACK St John’s Mukerenju Church and thereafter she will be laid to rest at her family home near Kabati Township.

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Peris Wanjiku Ngatia (Wakarite) that occurred on 15th September 2020. She hails from Kabiru Village, Gathaithi Sub- Location, Gaaki Location, Tetu Sub-County, Nyeri County.

Loving wife of the late William Ngatia Watani. Dear mother of the late Jeremiah Watani, Eunice Njoki Muriu, the late Nelson Karite, the late Reuben Kagema, Ruth Wamuyu Munene, Nancy Wachera Ndegwa, Paul King’ang’ai and the late Mary Wangui. Mother-in-law of the late Lydiah Watani, Esther Watani, Zachariah Muriu, Fridah Karite, Joseph Munene, the late Ndegwa Muchina and Mary King’ang’ai. Grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Kabiru Gathaithi Sub-Location, Tetu Constituency, Nyeri County from 3pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital mortuary on Tuesday 22nd September 2020 for a church service at 2020 PCEA Kabiru, Gaaki parish at 9AM and thereafter the burial ceremony will take place at her home in Kabiru Village, Gathaithi sublocation, Nyeri County.

It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Patrick Micheni Reuben of Bridgeview Hotel Mtwapa on 12/9/2020.

Son of Reuben Mbuba and the late Martha Ciekamba of Kinoru Village, Magumoni-Tharaka Nithi County. Step son of late Siphira Kalumbi. Husband of Dorine Muthoni.

Father of Lisa Mumbi, Whitney Mwende, Judy Wawira, Angel Mukami and the late Tj junior. Grandfather of Temi Toya & Ace Ndung’u.

Brother of Judith Mikui, Loyford Rugendo, late Ephasius Mutegi, Boniface Mucioka, Gamaliel Nthiga and Erastus Mbae. Step brother of Jamleck Ngai, Kellen Ciankui, Mbaka Reuben, Elizaphan Gitonga, Kagendo Reuben & Robin Murithi. He was an uncle of many.

Final resting place will be in Chuka, Muchatha/Kinoru Village on 22/9/2020.

Mrs. Mary Njoki (Kiaha)

It is with a heavy heart and in submission to the will of God that we announce the death of Mary Njoki (Kiaha) Green of Brockton Massachusetts (USA) on Sunday, September 13, 2020 following a kidney transplant.

Wife of the late Frederick S. Green and daughter of the late Peter Kiaha Mbaki and Florence (VVangui) Kiaha of Mukurweini, Nyeri. Loving mother to Professor Jennifer Waruguru Kibicho of Milwaukee Wisconsin (USA), Carol Kibicho and her husband Don Macharia of Frisco Texas (USA), Valentina Kibicho and her fiancé Israel Henshaw of Brockton Massachusetts (MA) USA, Lucy Wanjiru of Kenya, Peter Kiaha and his fiancée Vivian Wainaina of Brockton MA (USA), and Richard Kiaha of Brockton MA (USA). Beloved stepmother to Jonathan F. Green, Stacy Y. Dupont, Alfred B. Green, and Brenda Johnson of the USA. Sister to Joe Gitahi of Seattle Washington (USA) and Regina Kagori of Mukurweini Kenya. Also, sister to the late James Kanyeki, the late John Keen Githaiga, and the late Margaret Wangechi. Aunt to Dan, Paul, Joan, Nick, John,Tony, Gitari, Moses, Florence, among others. Grandmother to Njoki, Mumbi and Nolan of Kenya, and Gabrielle of Frisco Texas (USA). Sister-in-law to Asmahan Ali (Mama Tony) of Nairobi, Agnes Wanjiru and Gladys Taylor (Panky) of West Palm Beach Florida (USA). Mrs. Green was a friend to many.

The Memorial Service is on Sunday, September 20, 2020 @ 2-4 P.M. EST USA time [9-11 P.M. Kenya time] at the Grace and Faith Anglican Church, Bridgewater MA (USA).

Visitation and paying of last respects will take place at the Wain Funeral Home In Brockton, MA USA) on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 9-10 A.M. [4-5 P.M. Kenya time].

Mrs. Green will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Fredrick on Monday, September 21,2020 @ 12:00 Noon EST USA time [7 P.M. Kenya time] at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA (USA).

Mrs. Josephine Nduta Muchiri

It is with sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we accept the untimely demise of our Sister in Christ Mrs. Josephine Nduta Muchiri which occurred on 16th September 2020 at Valley Hospital, Nakuru. Her demise was as a result of a road accident along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway.

She was the daughter of the late Andrew Njoroge Zakayo Muigai and the late Damaris Njoki Nyamathwe Njoroge (Kiambaa -Kiambu). She was the wife of the late John Muchiri Njuguna of Turi/Molo-Nakuru. She was the mother of Daniel Njuguna Muchiri (Pinnacle Int-AACC Nbi), Mrs Anne Wanjiku Ngachu (Kinoo), Andrew Njoroge Muchiri (Bungoma), Peter Kamau Muchiri, the late Elizabeth Nyambura, Sarah Njoki and Mary Wanjiru. She was the mother in- law to Eunice Wanjiku Njuguna, Susan Njeri Kariuki, Simon Munjuga Gitagia, Joseph Kamau Kimani and the late Patrick Ngachu Wamagatta. She was an in-law to Mrs Beatrice Njeri Kamau (Redhill), Phyllis Njeri Nduru, Elizabeth Nungari Kamau, Phyllis Wairimu Mwaura, William Mwangi Macharia and Rachel Ngendo Mwangi.

Family and friends are meeting at their Turi family home for funeral arrangements. There will be One meeting at Public Service Club (Upperhill-Nairobi) on Sunday 20th Sept from 3pm.

The cortege leaves Valley Hospital Nakuru on Thursday 24th September 2020 at 9am. Funeral service will be held at their Turi family farm starting from 11am on the same day.
