It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Beatrice Muthoni Mathu after an illness bravely borne.

She was the daughter to the late Wilfred Gachunu and the late Grace Wambui Gachunu. She was a sister to the late Stephen Komu, Samuel Mwangi, Evan lrungu, Monica Waithera, the late Charles Gichia and the late David Gichuhi. She was wife to the late Stanley Gathungu Mathu. Mother to Ann Mathu, Kenneth and Elizabeth Mathu, late Nicholas Gachunu and Margaret, and late Grace Mathu. Grandmother to Sheila Muthemba, Stanley, Valentine, Edwin, Bitty, and Ivy Betty Mathu. Great grandmother of 2. Sister-in-law to late Pithon Ng’ang’a, Fredah Marubu, late Evan Kariuki, Mary Ndiki, Erastus Waituika and Milka Mathu.

Cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati on 29. 09.2020 at 8 a.m. for a service at ACK St. Paul’s Munyutha Church at 10.30 am followed by burial at her Munyutha home.

We loved you Mum but God loved you more.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Alvin Nolan Omondi in the morning of 23rd September 2020 following a short illness. He was a pupil at Parklands Baptist School.

Loving Son to Abel Odede of Hillside Homes and Debra Oweya of Absa Bank. Brother to the late Jada, Ethan Thomas and Teshi Gordon both of St. Mary’s School, Grandson to Tom & Rose Odede of Orobi-Nyakach Kadiang’a and the late Mathews & Penina Olum of Kangeso-Rongo. Nephew to Simon & Lilian, the late Habakuk & Ruth,Rezin & Everlyne, Asenath, Patric & Vivian, Joel & Nancy, Patrick & Lucy, Brian & Linda, Ian & Wendy, Suleiman & Liz, Lorine & Steve among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their Riverside Drive Home for prayers and burial preparations.

There will be a memorial service at Parklands Baptist Church- Nairobi on Sunday 27th September 2020 at 3:00pm.

The Cortege leaves MP Shah Mortuary early morning on Monday 28th September for funeral service and burial, same day in the afternoon, at the family home in Orobi-West Kadiang’a-South West Nyakach-Kisumu County.

Daughter of Mr. Simon Ngaruiya Wanjama and Mrs. Mary Njeri Ngaruiya. Wife of the late Thomas Njenga Wanyoike. Mother of Sheilann Nyokabi and Zipporah Njeri Njenga. Mother in law of Edward Muriithi, and grandmother of Odilia Muriithi. Sister of Winfred Mumbi, Salome Wambui, ChristopherWanjama, Martin Ng’ang’a, Eva Njoki and Waithaka Ngaruiya.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home Nairobi on Friday 25th September 2020 at 7.30 am for a requiem Mass at Christ the King Catholic church Githurai Kimbo at 10a.m, and thereafter for burial at Langata Cemetery.

Son to the late Kariuki Gathatwa and late Rebecca Gathoni Kariuki of Kahuguini Village, Gatundu. Husband to Mary Wanjiku Kamau of Bungoma and USA. Father to Tabitha Gathoni Kamau (Bungoma), Daniel Kariuki Kamau (DK – Machakos), Evans Njuguna Kamau (Dallas, USA), Lucy Wangari Kamau (Nakuru), Moses Mburu Kamau (Seattle, USA). Brother to late Mary Wambui Kamau, Naomi Wanjiku Mukundi, Lydia Muthoni Marubu, Ishmael Gicuguma Kariuki (Mwalimu), Joseph Kabeni Kariuki and Henry Mburu Kariuki (USA). Brother-in-law to Samuel Kamau (Uplands Bungoma), late Leah Wambui Njuguna, Rev. Christine Kariuki (PCEA Kambui Parish), Esther Mukui Kabeni (ACK Githurai), Augustus Marubu MOthiri and Pauline Wanja Kariuki (Prison Headquarters). Son-in-law to the late Evans Njuguna Kimenju & Ruth Wangari Evans of Lari Uplands. He is an uncle and grandfather to many.

Meetings, prayers & funeral arrangements are being held daily at his home in Kanduyi, Bungoma & his father’s home, Kahuguini – Gatundu and via Zoom meetings in the USA.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Mortuary (Northern Bypass) on Tuesday, 29th of September 2020 at 8:30am. The funeral will be held at his father’s farm in Kahuguini village, Gatundu (Close to Kahuguini Primary School). Funeral service starts at 11am.

He was brother in law of Ngige Mondo, Hope Kiarie, the late Ndungu Kimana and Susan Njonjo (USA), Son-in-law of Mr. & Mrs. Njihia Tharao, uncle and grandfather of many.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan University funeral home at 9am on Friday 25th September 2020 service and burial shall take place at his father’s home in Dagoretti (Mutaratara) starting 11am.

Glory be to God for a life well lived, he shall be greatly missed.

The cortege shall leave Umash Funeral Home on Friday 25th September 2020 at 10.00am for Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Ongata Rongai starting 11.00am. She will be laid to rest at her home thereafter.

The Arimbi family announces the death of Margaret Kanto Mutua which occurred on Sunday 20/09(2020 at Kenyatta National Hospital after a long illness.

She was a retired long serving nurse at Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital among other health facilities.

She was daughter of the late Clement M’Mwija and late Elmina Karai of Muiwa-South Imenti Sub-county. She was sister of late Marina Nchuribi, late Antony Muriungi and late Joseph M’Rinkuri (Gakebe). Margaret was a dedicated wife of Genaro Mutua M’Arimbi and a devoted mother of Irene Mutua-Michler (Germany), Annchristine Mutua-Thuo (KNH- Niarobi), Kennedy Kinoti Mutua (Meru) and Martin Mbaya Mutua (Meru). She was an affectionate mother-in-law of Andreas Michler (Germany), Jackline Kinoti (Meru), Thuo Mwangi (AKUH- Nairobi). Grandmother (shush) of Kinya, Thuranira, Mutuma, Shiku, Njeri, Muchui, late Nkatha and late Muthoni. Margaret was daughter-in-law of mama Maria M’Arimbi and late Solomon M’Arimbi and sister-in-law of Ms Taramba, Salome, Makena, Kithinji and Joyce among others.

The cortege will leave Meru Funeral Home at 9AM for funeral Mass and burial rites on 26/09/2020 at her home in Kigwii Village, in Muringombugi, North Imenti Sub-County in Meru County.
