Peter Karuu Mwangi (Wacaro)

It is with our humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Peter Karuu Mwangi (Wacaro) which occurred on Saturday 12th September 2020.

Husband of the late Peris Wangui and Jane Wanjiru. Father of George Mwangi, Lucy Wairimu, Caroline Njeri, Susan Njeri and Mary Wanjiku. Son of the late George Mwangi Karuu and the late Lucia Wairimu Mwangi. Son-in-law of late Gideon Kogi and late Caroline Njeri, late John Njau and Mary Muthoni. Brother of the late Njeri Mwangi, late Joseph Mwaniki, Margaret Njoki, late Paul Chege, John Karanja, Raphael Kugeria and Gabriel Mburu. Uncle of Peter Karuu, George Mwangi and many others. Father-in-law of Michael Gichinga, Sammy Kioko, Junior Ngugi, Samuel Mburu, Amina Gikuu and Diana Njoki. Grandfather of many.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 7:00 am on Friday 18th September 2020 for a service at A.C.K Shalom Parish Githurai 45, from 9:00am and will be later laid to rest at Mukurwe Sub location, Mangu Location, Gatundu North District in Kiambu County.

Nicholas Mulinge Mbindyo

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr. Nicholas Mulinge Mbindyo which occured on 11/9/2020 after two years brave battle with ALS disease. He was formerly of Kenya Prisons Services.

Son of the Late Samuel Mbindyo and the late Loise Mbindyo. Loving Husband of Christine Mulinge, Father of Evelyne Mwende, Dorcas Ndungwa, Eric Mule and Emma Mbithe. Father-In-law of Leakey Wahome, Vincent Achuka, Faith Nzula and Eric Musyoki. Grandfather of Jayden Wahome, Leon Mulinge, Quinzeta Bahati and Tamara Wahome. Brother of the Lite philip Mulei,Wilson Kyania, Rael Musyawa and the late job Kingola. Cousin of George Mwau, Rosemary Mukavi, Kyania Mwangangi and many others, He was an in-law, uncle and friend of many.

The Cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home in Machakos on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 8.00am and thereafter proceed to his final resting place at his farm at Makueni County, Kaki Division, Kivani Location and Matangi Village.

Dad you fought a good fight, you finished the race and you kept the faith. Rest with the angels till we meet again.

Leah Waguthi Mugo (Wanduguya)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Leah Waguthi Mugo which occurred on Sunday 13th September 2020.

She hailed from Thandii, Kigwandi, Karundu in Nyeri County. Daughter of the late Nduguya Mbuthia and the late Teresia Wandia. Beloved wife of the late James Mugo Waweru. Loving mother of Elizabeth Muthoni, Raphael Waweru and Martha Waihuni, Stephen Muchemi and Mary Wangui, Gabriel Ngunyi and Margaret Njeri, Joseph Wachanga and Joyce Nyawira, John Njugi and Phyllis Waithera, Boniface Kingori and Mary Wanjiku. Sister of the late Wachanga Nduguya and Kibui Gakuha. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

The cortege leaves Consolata Hospital Mathari on Friday 18th September 2020 at 8:00 am for mass at AIPCA Karigu-ini from 10:30 am followed by the burial ceremony at her home in Thandii.

Jyoti Ramesh Patel

06/10/1941 – 15/09/2020

It is with great sorrow that the Patel family announces the death of their beloved Jyoti Ramesh Patel, in Nairobi on Tuesday 15th September 2020 at the age of 78 years.

Beloved wife to Ramesh C Patel (Infra Africa), mother to Aparna (Pinku) and Priti, mother in law lo Joseph and Nadir, grandmother to lshaan Ali and Aahil Aziz, sister in law to P.C. Patel (Infra Africa) and Pratibha Patel.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday 16/09/2020 at the Hindu crematorium. Due to the current times, the funeral will be held privately for family members only.

Keep a prayer in your heart for our dearest Mother. “Your life was a blessing, your memory will be a treasure, you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. We will always strive to live by your teachings. A phenomenal mother, wife and loving grandmother.”

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of John Zion Kinyosi through a tragic road accident on 9th September 2020. He was a form four student at Mobamba High School-Kiamokama in Kisii County.

He was son to Peter Onyachi Kinyosi and Judith Kwamboka Orogo. He was brother to Joan Shaloam Onyachi. He was nephew to Zachary Nyamachere, Josphat Atunga, Stephen Ngote, George Orogo, Joyce Gesare, Janet Mboga, Hellen Nyamoita, Ruth Nyaboke, Roselyn Bitita, Peris Nyanchoka, Teresa Moraa and Vane Kerubo. He was grandson to the late Mzee Patrick Kinyosi and Mama Mary Bwari Kinyosi and late Mzee Orogo Nyaika and Mama Yunuke Morande.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their home in Ruai for funeral arrangements. The main fundraising will be held today, Wednesday, 16th September 2020 at their Ruai home starting from 3.00pm.

The cortege shall leave Chiromo funeral home on Sunday, 20th September 2020 and Burial will be held on Monday 21st September 2020 at his parent’s rural home in Nyamira County, Nyamaiya Sub-Location, Gesarate Village.

Grandson of the late Oenga Ochoki and Kabesa. Nephew of Late Michieka, Bsp Lazarus of FGCK, Matini, Moruri, Nyachwaya, Mosioma, Ochoki. Uncle of Ongiris, michiekas, nyacheras, ongeris. Cousin of Moraa, Ondieki & Jane, Nyamechi, Sorobea, Mokaya, Ondiba, Samy, Ounko, Nyamweya and others.

The will leave Gucha funeral home on 17th home 2020 to be rested the same day at his Nyabiemba home in Keroka.

Hildah Gatwiri Mbaya

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved daughter and sister Hildah Gatwiri Mbaya, Country , Representative’ PSI South Sudan, which occurred on Friday 11th September 2020 after a short illness.

She was the loving Daughter of Mr. Paul Mbaya Mbui of Kimbo and Mrs. Margaret Karimi (Headteacher – Ruibi Primary School). A Loving sister to Doreen Karimi and Evans, Collins Mutuma and Veronica, Eric Maingi Mbaya and Judy, Caroline Karwitha and Jimmy Rev. Linda and Mwirigi and Elsy Makena Mbaya. She was the dotting Auntie to Alvin, Telvin, Tatiana, Joan, Trevor, Lincoln, Tiffany, Ronny, Cynthia, Celine, Patricia, Scott, Aviel, Neriah and Nain.

Gatwiri was a loving, humble, upright and extremely industrious young lady, She was true, in her heart and mind, She leaves behind beautiful memories to all who knew her.

Friends and family are meeting daily from 5 pm at their Kimbo home in Meru. In addition there will be 2 virtual memorial services on Wednesday and Thursday from 7.30PM.

The cortege will leave the Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary Nairobi, on 19th September 2020 at 5.30am for burial at her father’s home at Kimbo village, Buuri East Sub-County, Meru County on the same day.

Grace Nthamba Maswii

1939 – 10.09.2020

It is with the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Grace Nthamba Maswii Sila of Itetani Location, Mbooni Sub County.

Grace was the daughter of the late Mutisya Mwanthi and the late Regina Mueke Mutisya. She was wife to the late David Maswii Sila and co wife to Felistus Maswii. Sister to Francis Mutisya,William Mutisya, Martha Mbula, Elizabeth Musola, Bosco Mutisya, Rapheal Kyenge, Monica Kitusa, Philliph Masila, Joseph Mutisya and Mary Goretta. She was a sister in-law to Iluve Sila, the late Loise Mutua, Nduku Uvoo, Janet Sila and the late Nzioka Sila among others.

She was a doting mother to, Geoffrey Nzive, Jacinta Kavata, Veronica and Rapheal Kyalili, Jane and Patrick Wambua, Christine and Cyrus Ireri, Fidelina and Stephen Nzonzi, Stella and Kennedy Sila, Janet and Leonard Kali. She was step-mom to Mary Mumbua, Emma Sila and Joseph Mukoko, Thomas Mithuli, Frida Karimi and Christopher Mwendwa. She was a grandmother to many among them; Ruth Mwende, Irene and Patrick Musembi, George Kiilu, Augustine Sila, Myra Mueni, Nathan Mwendwa, Michelle Kiume and Lisa Muli among others. Great grandmother to seven.

The funeral shall be held on Saturday 19th September 2020 at her home in, ltetani Sub-location Mbooni SubCounty. The body leaves Machakos Montezuma Funeral Home on the same day at 8.00 am.

Gladys Mumbi Mwangi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our sister in Christ Gladys Mumbi Mwangi. Formerly a teacher at Kayole North Primary School.

She was daughter to Bilha Nyawira Kariuki. Wife to Patrick Mwangi Mathenge. Mother to Betty Wairimu, Newton Mathenge and Faith Nyawira. Sister to Charles Mwai Wa (Magina), Alice Wangechi Wa Kigogo-ini.

Daughter-in-law to Tabitha Wairimu Mathenge, the late Paul Mathenge. Sister-in-law to Antony Gitonga, Peter Wahome, Rose Wangari, Joel Kariuki and Bernard Ndiritu. Niece to Kunyiha and Dorcas Mumbi.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 5:30pm at P.C.E.A Shalom Church Kayole and at their home in Ruai for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 18th September 2020 at 8,00am for funeral and burial service at their home In Ruai near P.C.E.A Canaan Church.

R.I.P Gladys Mumbi Mwangi

Florence Repha Osieko (Flo)

Sunrise: 21/06/1969 – Sunset: 09/09/2020  

We announce the death of Florence Repha Osieko that occurred on Wednesday, September 9th 2020 after a short illness.

Florence was the last born of the late Jonathan Osieko and Grace Nyandiko Osieko. She was sister of: the late Joel Tiko, the late Harrison Obanda, the late Phanice Lukania and Justus Osieko.

She was married to Frank Malack Shikuku. She was mother of Mary Wanga, Phelly Neema, Prince Malack and an adopted daughter Sylvia Ouma. Mother-in-law of Eng. Albert Mmbasu and a grandmother of Wayne, Shani and Gabble.

Daughter-in-law of the late Malack Oluteyo and the late Mary Oluteyo. Sister-in-law of the late Felesia, Elisha, Emmanuel and Elizabeth.

She leaves behind a legacy of genuine love and compassion. She was a loving, warm and kind person to all. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Family and friends are meeting every evening at her Kiamunyi home.

The funeral service and burial will take place at Kiamunyi, Nakuru on Friday, September from 9:00 AM.
