It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our dear Dad, Simon Njikari Gichimu which occurred on Thursday 13th August 2020 after periods of sickness, loving husband to Martha Wangechi Gichimu.

Son of the late Timothy Gichimu Ngaire and Lucy Wamuruana. Brother of the late Francis Nyamu, Nahashon Ngichiri, Beatrice Wagatwe Kangangi, Wanjiku Muchina, Stephen Ndege and John Karinga. Father of Ann of Nairobi Metropolitan Services (Health), Jane Muthoni, Beatrice of Sarova Hotels, Timothy of KIMMI, Michael of Mark Driving School, Petronilla of Basecamp Explorer, Hottensiah of California USA and Vincent Karani. Father in law of Samuel Kinyoro, Oscar Kithuka, Stephen Nduati, Julia Wanjiru Judy Njeri, Anthony Kimotho. Doting grandfather of many and great grandfather of Tehila.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers, from 3.00pm daily at his home in Kagumo Kirinyaga County.

The cortege will leave Mt Kenya Funeral Home, Kerugoya on Wednesday 19th August 2020 at 9.00am burial ceremony will follow from 11.00am at his home in Kagumo.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Simon Kamau Kinuthia of Huruma Estate, Njoro, Nakuru County, a trainer at Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology, Nakuru.

Son of the late Dominic Kinuthia and the late Naomi Thui. Beloved husband of Milka Waniiru of St. Lwanga Primary School, Njoro. Father of Elvis Kinuthia, Levis Ndirangu and Louis Maina. Brother of Laban Mungai, the late Joseph Maina, Samuel Muchina, Paul Njuguna, James Njogu and Lucy Wairimu. Son in-law of the late John Ndirangu Mwaka and Teresia Wamaitha. Brother in-law of Robert, Tabitha, Charles, Peter, Leonard and the late Alice.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Huruma Estate, Njoro.

The cortege leaves War Memorial Mortuary, Nakuru on Wednesday 19th Augusts 2020 at 8:00 am for service at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Molo at 10:00am and later laid to rest at Kiambiriria Farm, Molo.

Sammy Kiplagat Mulili

It is with humble submission to God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Sammy Kiplagat Mulili through a fatal road accident along Mombasa Rd Nairobi on 12- 08-20.

Son of Geofrey Mulili and the late Yusla Chepkosgei Mulili and Step Son of Anne Mulili. Husband of Jane Mwelu and father of Daystar Bancy Kiplagat. Grandson of Jacob & Monica Chepkwony of Kapsambu family of Kamonjil Village, Chepterit Location, Nandi County. Grandson of the late Charles Kamole Waki and the late Philis Mumbua Kamole of Kiangini Village, Mumbuni North Ward Machakos County. Brother of Salex Chebet, Charles Mulili and Ruth Mulili. Nephew of Julius Tulus, Alfred Mutua, Agnes Chepkemboi, Magret Chemeli, Judith Chesang, Collins Kyalo, Joseph Kirwa, Coretty Cheruto, Rose Chemutai, Margaret Nzau, Rebecca Ngei, Elizabeth Ngatia, Margaret Wambua, Margaret Mutua and Caroline Kyalo.

Viewing of the body will be done daily at Montezuma Funeral Home (Nairobi) at 12:00 noon for only 20 minutes. Final viewing will be done on Wednesday 19-08-20 between 6.00am – 6:30am after which the cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home for Mumbuni North, Kiangine Village, Machakos County.

Burial ceremony will take place on the same day (19-08-20).

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Roselyn Prescillah Owuor Booker of Kisumu Nyahera which occurred on August 12, 2020 after a long battle with cancer fought with utmost dignity and grace.

Daughter of the Late Mzee Mariko Gari Apiyo and the Late Mama Monica Odek of Kano Kabonyo Kapiyo Arombo School. Beloved wife of the Late George Booker Owuor. Daughter-in-law of the Late Andrea and Wilkister Obiayo. Affectionate mother of Dr. Nancy Booker, Dorothy Booker, Alphine-Judy Awiti Booker, Eric Opiyo Owuor and Winnie-Molly Booker. Mother-in-Law of Charles Ragot, Richard Otieno, Pauline Lusweti and Esdor Yahuma. Doting grandmother of Kimberly, Kelsie, Kwe, Kristian, Olive, Jabali and Bella.

Sister of Hesbon Apiyo Mama, Pelesia Lusi, Dick Gari, Jane Pamela Opiyo (Principal Ogongo Secondary) and the Late Barnabas Owaka Gari. Sister-in-Law of Risper Oblayo, Grace Akira Peter Amondi, Zacharlah Aloo, Pamela Anyango, Kerina Otieno, Elizabeth Amondi, Hannah Aloo, Prof. Stephen Ogendo, Martin Muango, the late Tom Okello, the late Wilson Otieno and the late Ruth Okello, Mary Apiyo, Christine Oselle,Tom Ndege and many others. It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we the family of Nzeki Manthi announces that Richard Musyoka Nzeki went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, 12th August 2020.

Husband to Gladys Wayua Muumbi. Father to Eric Maundu, Judy Nduku and Joe Muuo. Son to the Late Nzeki Manthi and the Late Koki Nzeki. Brother to Thomas Makiti,Titus Ng’olota, James Kimweli, Gilbera Matunga and David Kithome. Uncle to Mutuku, Mueni, Musyoki, Nzeki, Simon, Manthi and Muoki.

The cortege leave Makindu Hospital Mortuary today Monday, 17th August 2020 for burial at his home in Ngulwa Village, Matiliku, Makueni County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mzee Stephen Onduko Ogendi (Piese) that occurred on Tuesday 11th Aug, 2020.

Son of the late Ogendi bwo Ogendi and Agnes Kerubo. Husband of Karen Magoma. Father of Walter, Margaret, Alice, Truphena, Tom, Jasper, Ben, Naomi, Everlyn and Ronald. Brother of the late Kebungi, Mongare, Nyaboke, Ongondi, Barake, Singori and Mongare. Nephew of Chief Justice Maraga and Siblings, the Omwoyo’s, the Mongare’s, the Masaki’s and many others. He was a Korera, father in law, grandfather to 37 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was a cousin and friend to many.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing at his home in Bosose Village, Nairobi Kitengela and in Lanet Nakuru.

The cortege leaves Bwomboga Funeral home-Nyamira on Wednesday 19th Aug, 2020 at 9.00am for a funeral service and burial at his home in Bosose Village, Bonyamatuta Location, Nyamira County on the same day.

Daughter of the late Kimani Rugendo and the late Rebecca Waruguru. Sister of the late Ruth Njau, Edith Dickson, and the late Charles Kibui. Wife of the late John Kareko Warui of Gikambura, Kikuyu, Kiambu and mother of Jane Wairimu, Joyce Ng’ang’a, the late Moses Warui, Rose Gikung’a, Ruth Nyambura, Sarah Wanjiru (USA), Dr Edith Kareko-Munene, Peter Kimani and James Gaita. Mother-in-law of Sammy Ng’ang’a (Kasarani), Amos Gikunga (Ngong /USA), Francis Munene and Irene Gaita. Much adored grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a much loved auntie of many.

The cortege leaves the Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary at 8.00am on Wednesday 19th August 2020 for a funeral service at the family home and burial on the family land at Gikambura thereafter.

Mum/Cucu/Auntie, we loved you but God loved you more.

She is wife of the late Samuel Mbugua Kabii, daughter of the late Hanniel Nyingi Gatara and Glaris Wanjiru Nyingi. Mother to Hanniel Nyingi (KNBS), Stephen Gatara (NAS) and David Kabii. Mother in law to Beatrice Nyingi ( Blessed Beathan Academy) and Josephine Gatara. Sister to Hellen Kuria (The Phillips Academy), Purity Chomba (Kabare), Peterson Nyingi ( Muranga), the late Lucywell Mathenge and Caroline Kanyari (Kiamuturi). Sister in law to Elijah Mburu (Kianjugu) Hannah Wanyoike (Ithanga) Tabitha Gikang’a(Nairobi) the late Chege and Ng’ang’a Kabii, Philip Kuria, Ephraim Chomba, Rose Mwangi, Mwangi Mathenge and Kanyari Macharia. The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa funeral home-Thika on Wednesday 19th August 2020 for a funeral service at ACK St. Dorcas Kandiri Church at 10.00 a.m. and thereafter burial at her home in Kianjugu.

It is God who gave and it is God who has taken. May His name be praised.
