Joy Irene Njeri Gachamiu

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Joy Irene Njeri Gachamiu which occurred on 6th August 2020.

She was a second year student at Kenyatta University. She is second born of Lucy Wambui Muturi of Elburgon/Machakos. Sister to Kelvin Muturi Gachamiu of Homex Doors & Crafts. Niece to Gichuku, Simon, Ndungu, the late Macharia, Aunties Pauline, Rose, Mercy and the late Anne. Grand-daughter of the late Francis Muturi and Philipine Njeri, sister in-law to Imeldah Wangechi and aunt to Gachamiu Muturi.

Cousin to Njeri Wainaina, Njeri Macharia, Njeri Gichuku, Njeri Ngun’gu and many others.

There will be a requiem mass held on Sunday 9th at 2:00prn at Vickmery Schools, Ruai.

She will be laid to rest at Lang’ata cemetery from KU Mortuary on Tuesday 11th August 2020.

Jane Fransisca Adhiambo Okeyo

It is with humble acceptance and deep sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of Jane Fransisca Adhiambo Okeyo which occurred on 2/8/2020.

Beloved daughter of late senior Chief Damianus Ajwang and Mama Josephine Ojode of Kasgunga village Gombe location. She was the beloved wife of the late Omugarai (Ker) Apollo Okeyo of Suba council of elders. Co wife of Monica, Cyprine and Leonida. Beloved mum of late Dr. Phillip Obara, Paul Okeyo (KDF), Fred Okeyo (KEPSHA), late George Okeyo, Jacinta Okeyo (Rongo), Lillian Okeyo (UK), Rose Okeyo (KUPPET), Dolphine okeyo (Phina Kenya), Eugene Okeyo (M-Kopa). Sister of many including: Nicholas, Joseph, Roseline, Regina, Walter, Phillip, Ben and monica. Mother in law of many Including Late Ann, Late Pauline, Late Millicent, Phillisters, Florance, Rezler, Beryl, Phynnah, Tom, Evance and Evans. Loving grandmother of many including Arnold, Annet, Tracy, Sharon, Belinda, Brian, Meril, Ian, Frank, Audrey, Vione, Mike and Donald.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kakrigu Village Rusinga.

The Cortege leaves Med 25 Funeral Home on 11th August 2020 at 7:00 am. There will be a requiem mass at her home and thereafter laid to rest.

Helen Jepkoech Cheramboss (OGW)

Born: 24th August 1952 – Departed: 3rd August 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs Helen Jepkoech Cheramboss (OGW), Lay Canon ACK Eldoretl Kapsabet Diocese and retired Senior Chief Principal of Moi Girls High School, Eldoret (Chebo Kap Omoet). She passed away suddenly on the morning of 3rd August 2020 at Kaptumo, Sub-County Hospital.

She is the daughter of the late Ezekiel Some Tangwar and the late Rebecca Tangwar. She is the loving wife of Samson Kimngeny Cheramboss, Rtd GSU Commandant. She is mother to the Late Cornelius Kiprotich Ngeny, Monica Jerop Strohmyer (formerly of Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu), Edith Chepkirui Cheramboss, (formerly of the Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution), Patricia Chepchumba Cheramboss (Head of Corporate Affairs and Protocol at Moi University), Dr. Constan Kiprono Cheramboss (Kericho County and Kabarak University) and Sharon Jepkemboi Cheramboss (Director, Bridge International Academies). She is the adored grandmother of Abigael Tamining Chepkorir, Aidan Kigen, Adrian Changtoo and Madison-Grace Chelel.

As a family, we acknowledge that mum belonged to more than just us. She was an aunt, a sister, sister-in-law,a daughter, a grandmother, great grandmother and a guardian to so many. She was a teacher, a colleague, a confidant and a mentor to multitudes. Above all, mum was a prayer warrior, and a woman of tremendous faith. It is through her journey in Christ that she became a pillar of strength and influence in the community. Mum’s impact cannot be summarized in words, she left a mark in everyone who passed through her loving and nurturing hands. Through her, talents were realized, dreams were achieved and lives were moulded.

There will be a memorial service at St. Matthews cathedral on Monday 10th August at 11:00am.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday 11th August 2020 at 8.00 a.m and thereafter, our dear mum will be laid to rest at home.

Heaven has truly gained a soul whose love and kindness still reverberates here on earth.

It is with sad acceptance, we announce the passing on ofAlex Mwaniki (Asee) formerly of Dimension Data, rested peacefully on August 4,2020, due to a short Illness.

Alex was the son of Gilbert Mwaniki & Bella Njoki. A brother to Dr Joseph Mwaniki & Faith Kiwanuka. Alex was married to Asha Juana Mwaniki, loving father to Kimberly & Alexis Njoki. Alex was uncle to Jamie, Ruby, Jeremy, Baraka & Joe and many others. He was a cousin, friend & mentor to many.

In keeping with government guidelines on gathering due to Covid 19, there will be a memorial service on Tuesday 11 th August,2020, 12pm, at their home In Kaloleni, Nairobi. He will then be laid to rest on Wednesday, 12th August,2020 at his farm in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County.

The cortege leaves Egerton University funeral home on Wednesday 12/08/2020 at 8.00 AM followed by a funeral service and burial at their home in Jirani Farm Njoro.

Mother-in-law of Dawn. Grandmother of Arika and Karungari. Sister of the late Wairimu, Wathoni, Kamau, the late Nduta, Wanjiru, Mugure, Wangui, Wamaitha and Nyokabi. She was an Auntie of many.

She will be laid to rest at her Mukothima Home in Gikingo Location, Tharaka Nithi on Saturday 8th August 2020.

Son of the late Francis Muchiri Kiragu and Virginia Wanjiru Muchiri. Loving husband to Nancy Wangari Kamonijo. Father of Moses Muchiri, Virginia Wanjiru, Dorcas Wairuri and Edwin Murage. Brother to the late James Mwangi and Julius Kimani, Maina Muchiri, Mary Nyambura, Jane Wanjiku , and Faith Wangari. Son-in-law to the late Murage Kanja and Dorcas Wairuri of Gathukeini. Uncle to many. Grandfather to Nancy Wangari, Russell Mathai, Ethan Emong’or, Skylar Akwara and Romeo Kamonjo.
