Mother to Doreen Nkirote, Winfred Kairuthi, Daniel Muriungi, Mary Wangui and Ann Kathure. Sister to Silas Marangu (late), Timothy Kimaita (late), Elias Gituma, Margaret Kabooro (late), Monica Mbuvi, Josphine Mwongera, Jane Muthomi, Maingi M’Inoti, Josphat Mbaabu, Paul Kinyua and John Gitonga. Sister-in-law to Charity Nkonge, Henry Marangu (late), Margaret Riungu, Joyce Muthuri, Geoffrey Kimathi, Judith Muriungi, Timothy K. Mukindia and Lucy Marangu. Grandmother to four.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 24th July, 2020 at 5.00 am for burial ceremony at her home in Kithaku, Meru (6 Km from Meru Town).

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the Promotion to Glory of Marcella Ndinda Munavu (Mwaitu), who died peacefully in her sleep on Friday 17th July 2020.

Loving wife of the late Joseph Munavu Ndulwa of Mbilini Location, Kangundo, Machakos County. She was the youngest daughter of the late Kathukya and the late Musuki; and sister of Gideon,Timona, Maingi, Kalii, Mbula and Nthenya (all late). Caring mother of Prof. Raphael Munavu (UoN), the late Michael Munavu, Emmanuel Munavu (Tala), Boniface Munavu (KDO), Pauline Koki (Yatta) and Agatha Ngii (Olympic Primary School, Nbi). Mother-in-law of Salome (Nairobi), Milkah (Mbilini), Zolleta (USA), Esther (Tala), Angeline (Thika Level 5 Hospital), Musila (Yatta) and Mutiso (Komarock). Loving grandmother of Sundiata and Erin (USA), Mutua and Cheyanne (Ireland), Mutemi and Evalyne (Uganda); Eric, Joseph, Killian; Mbithi, Munavu, Mueni (USA), Kioko (USA) and Akili (USA); Olive, Michael; Nduku, Peter, Ndinda, Emmanuel; Mutheu, Musembi, Carol, Lenny and Terry, among others. She had several great-grandchildren.

Burial arrangements are taking place at her home in Mbilini, ltuusya Village, Kangundo Sub-county.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 24th July 2020 at 8.00am for Holy Mass, and thereafter interment at her home starting from 11.00am.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of Major Jacob Owiny Agunda on the 13th of July 2020 following a tragic helicopter crash at Kithyoko, the general area of Masinga. Jacob hailed from Masogo, Kachola Village, Kochieng -East Sub-location, Kadibo Division, Kisumu County.

Loving husband of Beryl Anyango Owiny and dotting father of Maya Awuor Owiny. Son of the late Jephath Agunda Obala and mama Pamela Awuor Agunda. Son in-law of Mwalimu Tom Ochieng Okwaro and Mama Monica Ochieng and Phoebe Ochieng of Kisumu County. Brother of Evelyn Agunda, Alfred Agunda, Eli Agunda and Alice Agunda. Brother-in-law of Calvin Alaro, Centrin Kwaje, Adams Ochieng, Marion Toms, Dickens Ochieng, Kenneth Okwaro, Hillary Ngeso, Eastone Owino and Emma Ochieng amongst others.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing away of Mama Judy Wamuiya Mukoma Wamukoma who was a keen businesswoman and a celebrated public servant.

Daughter of the late Michael Mukoma Njubi and the late Jane Njeri Mukoma. Mother of Felister Njeri (Ireland), Michael Mukoma (Japan), Rose Esther Muthoni Wamuiya (Wamuiya Mohammed & Co. Advocates), Irene Wangari, Hannah Wairimu Wambui; Mother-in-Law of William Mburu Ndungu and Dr. Kabil Mungai.

Loving grandmother of Judd Wamuiya Mungai, Arthur Ndungu Mburu, Jeremy Kabii Mungai, Samantha Wairimu Mburu and Megan Wamuiya Mburu.

Sister of Lucy Njoki, Carol Wangari, Nyambura Mukoma, Mumbi Mukoma, Mbuto Mukoma, Kiboka Mukoma, the late Anastasia Muthoni, the late Karanja Mukoma, the late Wambui Mukoma, the late Wanyoike Mukoma and the late Njubi Mukoma; and aunty of many Mama was a dear friend of many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her home from 4.00pm to 6.00pm until Thursday. Due to COVID-19 regulations, a brief requiem service will be done on the 24th July 2020 at AIPCA Kahawa West starting at 3pm.

Burial is scheduled on 25th July 2020 at her home in Marmanet Rumuruti. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Our family sadly lost a pillar on Wednesday, July 15 2020. Mrs. Julia Stella Nyapera, fondly known to many as Mama Cece, passed away at DFMH in Nairobi after years of bravely fighting Cancer.

Julie was married to Moses Nyapera for 33 years and together they were blessed with three beautiful daughters namely Cecilia, Catherine and Naomi. She was a sister to Christine, Caroline, Michael, Judy and Tony. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Gabriel Ochieng & Mrs. Eunice Ochieng, and her sister, Emily Atieno. She was a grandmother to Zawadi Kerubo and mother-in-law to Stephen. She was daughter-in-law to Mr and Mrs Evans Nyapera. Sister-in-law to Anne, Caro, Richard, Grace, Caleb, Wanjiku and the late Awinja. A dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with. Fond memories of her are shared with her colleagues at Lacote Ltd.

Her memorial service will be held at her home in Vihiga County, Luanda Subcounty and Emukhuya Village, Followed by her burial at the same venue on Saturday, July 25th, 2020 from 10am.

Brother of the late Muasya, the late Bernard Mulonzi, Syombua, Sabeth and Marian. Son-in-law of Pauline and the late Mutheke, Annah and the late Mbondo, Ann and the late Nyamai, Kioko and the late Berita. Brother in-law of Mboi, Mutinda, Mutua, Cleophas and Steve among others. Loving uncle and a dear friend to many.

The cortege leaves Nairobi Women Hospital Funeral Home on Saturday 25th July 2020. Burial service begins at 11:00am at his home Muunyini, Ngiluni Location, Kiteta Division. Mbooni East Sub-County, Makueni County. The service will be conducted in line with the MOH COVID-19 guidelines.

We regret to announce the passing on of our father and patriarch Mr. John Murenga, on 20th July, 2020 after a long illness bravely born.

He was the husband to Magdalene Ngima Murenga, brother to the late Father Anthony Mathenge, the late Agnes Wachuka Ndungo, the late Ferdinanda Nyambura Waruinge and the late Michael Chege. He was father to the late Joseph, Angela & Vincent, Muchiri & Mutheu, Susan & David, Ngatia & Esther and Ann Muriuki. Grandfather to Althea, Ngima, Nzula, lain, Jason, Ethan, Zoe, Ryan, Ayanna and Nolan. He was great grandfather to Xavy Muchiri. He was uncle, grandfather and friend to many.

He was a pioneer in the insurance industry for which he received many awards. He was a great husband, father, leader, mentor and friend. He left an indelible mark in our lives, and we shall miss him greatly. We hold onto Gods word and continue his legacy.

Due to the season that we are in, he will be laid to rest on Friday 24th July, 2020 in a private ceremony.

Our Dad, John Macharia Ng’ang’a was a great father, loving brother, loving grandfather and a beloved uncle of many.
