It is with profound sadness we announce the passing on of Collins Magiya Nyaigoti on the 8th, July, 2020 at the Nairobi Womens’s Hospital (Masaba), Ngong Road.

Son of Moses Nyaigoti and Julia Kwamboka. Brother to Glenna Kemunto, Leslie Osebe (Swaziland) and Russell Moriasi (USA). Father to Shante Kwamboka. Brother in law to Francis Mbuvi (WFP) and Nomakhosi Neliswa Dlamini (Swaziland). Uncle to Sweeny Kanini, Deidra Zuzile Osebe and Keisha Bonareri Osebe (Swaziland). He was nephew to the Late Osebe, Late Sarah, Mogiti, Late Nyandika, Gori, Agasa, Omwenga, Yucabeth, Elizabeth, Late Grace, Samwel, Teresa, Evans, Charles and Janice.

Cousin to Mary Osiemo, Magiya Omao, George Nyabati, Chris Magiya, Late Richard Gori,Wesley Osebe, Rudia Magiya, Lilian Omwenga, Douglas Mokaya, Peterscott Borurio, Kariuki Momanyi, Lenet Mainye, Judy Omoi, Achimba Okirigiti, Vincent Mochama, Erephina Ratemo and Many more.

The cortege leaves Nairobi Women’s Hospital (Masaba), Ngong Road on Friday 17th July, 2020 at 6:00 am. Funeral service and burial will be at his father’s home in Chepilat, Nyamira County.

Anthony Omondi Amuok

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Anthony Omondi Amuok who was an employee of Post Bank Nyeri Branch and passed away on 2nd July, 2020 while undergoing’treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.

Beloved son of the late Cosmas Onyango and the late Rosemary Onyango. Loving brother of the late Elizabeth, Obonyo, William, Caroline, Martin, Tepken, Lucy, Kevin, Everlyn and Jared. Loving uncle of Sadah, Sophie, Tamara, Antony, Bolton, Bradley, Jayden, Joy, Kevin, Carlos and Bryan. Antony was a Brother, cousin, uncle, colleague and a friend to many.

The Cortege leaves Chiromo mortuary, Nairobi on Friday 17th July, 2020 for their home at Upanda village Sigomere, Siaya County where he will be laid to rest on Saturday 18th July 2020.

May our merciful Lord rest his soul in eternal peace.

Edith Nyasuguta Mochama dies in Dallas truck accident

A Kenyan woman Edith Nyasuguta Mochama popularly known as Nyasuu was hit by a truck tractor-semitrailer and then was trapped under the trailer on  Dallas North Tollway near Arapaho Road. Edith  was rescued from under the trailer and transported to a local medical facility but later died. Here below is a message from her friends who are trying to mobilise for support to repatriate her body.

Greetings. We hope this message finds you well. It is with utmost regret, shock & sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of EDITH NYASUGATA MOCHAMA popularly know as “ “ “NYASUU”that occurred on 07/09/2020 in Dallas Texas. According to DPS, EDITH was hit by a truck and then trapped under the trailer, police are still investigating. After consulting with family in Kenya. The consensus is , the remains of EDITH to be taken home FOR FINAL INTERMENT where most of her family is. We the DFW COMMUNITY seek prayers & financial help to offset the obvious expenses that come with such an ordeal. MORE DETAILS WILL BE IN OUR LOCAL WHATSAPP GROUPS IN DFW. Our Super Mum Has Rested

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved super mum on 4th July, 2020.

Beloved wife to Jacob M’Kubitu Kiunga of Kiriba village, Nkanda sub-location, Antuambui ward, Igembe North, Meru County. Mother of the late Mwothiiro, Jennifer, Mary, Lucy, Henry, Florah, Isaac, Nkiiri, Winnie, NKatha and Kawira. Daughter of late Likarang’ii and Ciomwirabua both of Kang’enyone village. Mother-in-law of the late Thomas, Murungi, Mugambi, Theuri, late Karambu, Jacob, Regina, Judy, Chris and Karithi. Sister of the late Murungi, Mururu, Karuti, late Mwokithaaka and Mwohitobaita. Doting grandmother of 56 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 25.

Prayers and funeral arrangement are taking place at her home. The cortege will leave Chogoria PCEA Mission Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 15th July 2020 at 0800hrs for burial at her home.

It is with dew sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Matriarch Margaret Wairimu Kimandu which occurred on Thursday 9th of July 2020, after a long illness bravely borne.

Wife of the late Geoffrey Kimandu Gitau, daughter of the late Paul Kamau Chege and the late Helen Wanjiru Kamau. Daughter in law of the late Joseph Gitau Kimandu and Emily Wangui Gitau. Mother of Alice Wangui Gikandi, the late Damaris Wanjiru, Mary Wambui, David Gitau, the late Jane Muthoni and the late Eunice Nyokabi. Mother-in-law of Johnson Gikandi Ngibuini, James Mugwimi and Cecilia Wanjiru. Sister-in-law of the late Mary Wairimu, the late Anne Nyokabi, Anne Wambui, Henry Mucau, Eunice Wanjiku and the late Dorothy Wabuthu. Aunty, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at her Rural home in Kahuguini, Ng’enda location.

Our mother will be laid to rest on the 17th of July, 2020 at her home in Thakwa Village, Gatundu South. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home at 8 am.

The late Zj was a former teacher of Njoro Boys High School, Moi Girls School Samburu, Maralal High School Samburu and St. Theresas Girls Wamba Samburu.

Beloved wife of former Samburu East Member of Parliament Hon. Raphael Letimalo. Daughter of the late Lepinon Lempoore and mama Agnes Lempoore. Loving mother of Ursula Letimalo, Bernice Letimalo and Kelvin Letimalo. Sister of Grace Leseeto, Johnson Lempoore, Jane Lempoore and Melita Lempoore. Son of the late Gitonga Kiriaku and the late Wairimu. Husband to Constanza Nyawira Mathenge. Father to Eunice Wairimu, Naomi Muthoni, Peter Gitonga, Amos Mathenge, Christopher Mubea, Simon Muriithi, Lucy Wambui and Sammy Wang’ombe. Brother to the late Mubia Gitonga, and the late Wang’ombe Gitonga. Step brother to Kariuki Gitonga, Kahihu Gitonga and Wangeci Gitonga. Father in law to James Karimi, Jane Wairimu Gitonga, the late Pauline Wairimu Mathenge, Hilda Njeri Mubea, Mary Wanjiku Muriithi and Judy Wanjiru Wang’ombe. He was grandfather and great grandfather to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home Githakwa Village, Karaihu Sub-location, Tetu Constituency, Nyeri County.

The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) at 8:30 am on Thursday 16th July 2020 followed by a funeral mass at his home in Githakwa Village, Karaihu Sub-location, Tetu sub- County, Nyeri County at 11:00 am. The burial service shall be conducted in line with the government regulations on Covid-19.
