Prof Geoffrey Njuguna Kamau

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Prof Geoffrey Njuguna Kamau of The University of Nairobi – Department of Chemistry, on 9th May 2017 at Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.

He was Chairman BOM, Ruthimitu Secondary School and Board Member Upper Hill High School. Husband of Margret Muthoni. Father of John Kamau (USA) and Anne Waceke (Strathmore University). Son of the Late Obadiah Kamau and Damaris Waceke. Son in-law of the late Benson Murigi and the late Ruth Njoki. Brother of Peter Muthondu, Josephine Wairimu, Susan Wambui, John Gitau (USA), Late Arthur Kinyanjui, David Kahonge and the Late Daniel Mbeke. Brother-in-law of Henry Njuguna, John Kamunyu, Rufus Njuguna, Samuel Gakibe, Mwaura Murigi,Ann Njeri, jemirna Wanjiku, Naomi Njambi, Ann Wanjiru and late Joyce Wambui. Uncle and friends to many. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his Riara ridge residence (near Nazareth Hosp.) and his brother’s residence – Peter Muthondu in Waithaka in Waithaka for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on 18th May 2017 at 8.00 am for a requiem Service at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, at 10am. Burial will be the same day at the Lang’ata Cemetery at 1pm. Mzee Alloys Kengere

We are saddened to announce the death of Mzee Alloys Kengere of Bomachoge Sub County, Magenche ward, Mokomoni Village, who died at Tenwek Mission Hospital on the 81512017. He was the beloved Husband to Grace Kengere, Father to Edna, Dave, Rafida, Lydia, Ben and Kwamboka. Grandfather to PrayGod, Owen, Lucy, Abbie, Liam, Joshua. Brother to the late Johnson, Samson (USA), Late Zachariah, Karen, Clifford, Jane, Tobias, Sophie. Brother-in-Law to Charles Nyakeri (Kisii County), Onsongo, Aseneka, Elizabeth Ombaso, Joshua, Onsomu, Stephen, Jeria, Priscillah, Mose among others.
The body will be leaving Ftema Mortuary on 17/5/2017 and burial ceremony coordinated by Elder Zachariah Omagwa will be held on 18/5/2017. Family and friends are meeting at Capital Hotel Kisii and his residential home at Nyamataro, Bochura Village for funeral arrangements.A fundraiser Will be held on the 16/5/2017 evening at Garden Square from 5PM.

Husband of Mary Jemuge Tallam. Son of the late Anthony Chepkitany and the late Paulina Sogom Chepkeitany. Father to Edna Jebiwott, Daniel Kipsang, David Kibirchogo and Edith Jemutai. Brother to Rose Ngetich, the late John Kamen, Esther Obadiah, the late Richard Kipsang, Solomon Keitany, Salina Kipyegon, Julius Birchogo and the late Hellen Keitany. Father-in-law of Anthony Kibiego and Ednah Koech. Grandfather of Gilphine, Melisa, Sharleen and Kayline.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at  Kapsoya Estate and Kituro in Baringo. A special fundraising -will be held on Wednesday 17th May 2017 from 4.00 pm at  Wagon Wheel Hotel Eldoret boardroom. The cortege leaves MTRH Mortuary on Friday 19th May 2017 at 2.00 pm for his home. Burial will be on Saturday 20th May 2017 at his home Kipkabus, Kapkut village beginning at 10.00 am.

The cortege, leaves Kikuyu Hospital mortuary on Thursday 18th May, 2017 for funeral Mass at St. Peter Ndiuni Catholic Church and thereafter burial at Ndiuni near PCEA Githunguchu Church.

Wife of the late Jacob Mugo Munguchi. Daughter of the late George Gichuhi and the late Veronica Wambura. Mother of Anthony Gichuhi (St. Anthony High School), Pauline Nyambura (USA), Christiana Mugo (Canada), the late Patrick Kariuki, James Mugo, Francis Mwangi, Caroline Njoki and Consolata Wanjiku. She is survived by 10 grandchildren namely: Ian, Ivy, Chantel, Shamir, Margaret, Lainden, Victoria, Jacob, Jayden and Tyanna. Sister of Mwangi, Wanderi, Wanjiku, Muraya, the late Muturi, Wangui, the late Gitonga and Mugo. Mother-in-law of Muthoni, Christopher, lmeldah, Mukami and Wahito.

Funeral service and burial will follow thereafter at her home in Kawangware at St. Anthony High School.

The Ogwel Family wishes to announce the passing on to Glory of Mama Agness Auma Qgwel who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday 10th May 2017 ending a life well lived.

Daughter of the late Francis and Brigitta Osena. Wife of the late Simeon Mathias Ogwel. Beloved Mama of John and Pastor Pamela Ogwel, the late Larry Ogwel, Beatrice Ogwel, Louis Ogwel, Maureen Ogwel and Jayne Ogwel. Survived by Sister Christine Onyango, Sister of the late Idda Imbaya, Clara Adhiambo, Paul Osena and Magdaline Were. Aunt of many, Dana of Sharon and Kevin Matu, Dennis, Naomi and Emmanuel Ogwel among others. Great granny of Daniel and Zoey Matu among others.

Family friends and well wishers are convening for meetings at Kariakor Block A1 Door 2 from 5:00pm daily. There will be a funds drive on Tuesday 16th May from 5:00pm at Kariakor. Requiem Mass will be held at the Consolata Shrine, Westlands on Thursday 18th May at 10am. Burial will be at her home next Asango Primary School, Uholo location, Ugunja District on Saturday 20th May, 2017.
