It is with profound shock and great sadness that we announce the death of CPA Peter Waweru Rubang’i of Kiangoro Village, Njuki-ini North Location, Kirinyaga County through a tragic road accident on 18th June, 2020.

Until his death Mr.Waweru was working in the Accounts Section of the Ministry of Interior and Co-ordination of National Government, State Department for Correctional Services. Headquarters (Teleposta Towers).

Son of Fausto Rubang’i and Cecilia Rubang’i. Brother-of Mbogoh, Njagi, Nderi, Njoka, Kibugua, Gachoka, Munene, Wairimu, Mugo, and the late Gitaru. Husband of Ann Wangui Gitonga. Father of Meghan Wendo Waweru. Son-in-law of George Gitonga and Mary Wangari. Brother-in-law of Charles, Emma, Harun, Beatrice and Jimmy.

Nephew of Alabina, Beth, Wanjiru, Gaturi, Wangu, the late Muthoni, Ruth, the late Kibunja among others. Cousin of Njoka, Munene, Magi, Wanjira among others. Uncle of Maryann, Wellis, Jayden, Eric, George, Ivy, Maureen, Sandra, Rita among others.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Kiangoro Village and Ruiru.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Thika Road on Friday 26th June 2020 at 7am for burial at his Kiangoro Home, Kirinyaga County.

Caring father to Callistus Muthoka (Kalulu of Prisons), Edwin Mutisya (Musungu of KMTC internship Makueni county referral hospital). Brother to Justus Kilo (Caritas Marsabit), James Muthoka (KAF Moi Airbase), late Miriam Waeni, Joel Mwololo (RTD Nssf), late Dr Patrick Nthusi, Thomas Muthoka (Businessman) and late Muendi Muthoka. Cousin to Kimau, Mulwa, Fred, Mutinda, Rael, Becky among others.

In-faw to Mr & Mrs Gideon Kaviku (Mwea) and brother in-law to Loise Mutio, and Angela Kiio, Eunice, Rebecca, Mwende. Uncle to Andrena (Museveni), Kyalo, Irene, Kelvin, Kennedy, John, Frank, Paul, Mbithe, Musembi, Mutindi, Mange among others. He was a frlend to many.

Prayers and funeral arrangements are ongoing at his home in Kamunyolo, Wote.

Daughter in law to the late Erastus Mwangi Kamau and the late Rakeri Waithira Mwangi of Mathare-ini Village Kigumo Sub-County, Murang’a County. Sister in law to the late Francis Mburu Mwangi and Veronica Nyambura Mburu, Phillip Kinuthia Mwangi and Mary Wanjiku Kinuthia (Murang’a Town), Lawrence Macharia Mwangi and the late Sarah Njoki Macharia, the late Geoffrey Kimani Mwangi and Mary Ruguru Kimani. She was a Cousin, Aunt, and Grandmother to many.
