Wife of Mwalimu (rtd) Ashington lshban Nyaga of Gitare, Village, Runyenjes Sub-County, Embu County. Mother of Muturi, Fred, Betty, Susan, the late Gordon, Sophie and Capt. Flora. Mother-in-law of Beth, Feator, Dickson, Fabian and Ibrahim. Sister of Judith, the late Justus, the late Judy, the late Rufina and the late Florah. Sister-in-law of Sophie, Naomi, Bramwel, Margret, the late Sammy, Comm (rtd) Henry, Stanley, Benjamin, Nelly, Flora, Daniel and John. Grandmother of 17 children and great grandmother of 3.

Burial will take place on Monday 13th April, 2020 at Gitare Village, Runyenjes, Embu County.

We celebrate the life of an icon, a champion conservationist, a loyal protector who held his kin close to heart.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nathaniel arap Chumo due to sudden illness.

He was the son of the late Chumo arap Tot and the late Salome Chemome. Husband to Rosebella Chumo, the late Ruth Kogo Chumo and Florence Bett Chumo.

He was the father to Alice Ngetich, Humphrey Rugut, the late Sabina Sugut, Hilary Rugut, Geoffrey Rugut, Winnie Pion, Chelangat, Juliet Chebet, Joan Chepchirchir, Judith Chepngetich, Catherine Jerotich, Kiprono Rugut, the late Jude Kiplimo, Benita Chumo, Gabriel Kiptoo, Suzanne Jepkoech, Michael Kiprop, Teresa Chebet, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was laid to rest on Tuesday 31st March, 2020 at his home in Kapkurmeny village in Nandi County.

Loving mother of Pauline Okanda, George Onyango, Alois Onyango, Joan Wetende, Rev. Fr. Duncan Onyango and Herenia Onyango. Beloved grandmother of Tessie, Bonaventure, Isaac, Grace, Neema, Mathew, Abigail, Mercy, Liam, Joshua, Trevor, Clyde, Mya, Noelle and Norrin. Stepmother of Bob Oyile, Lorine Akinyi, Jane Otieno the late Paul Otieno, Jacinta Onyango, George Odhiambo, Sammy Onyango and Charles Kibuye. Mother-in-law of Mercy Wachira Onyango, Faith Mwendwa Oyile, Washington Nyakoi and Ishmael Wetende. Daughter-in-law of the late Marcellus Oyile and the late Florida Apuoyo. Sister in law of the late Herenia Omoro, the late Adams Nyabera, the late Pius Ogola, the late Peter Agutu, and Mary Adhiambo.

Mama will be laid to rest at her home in Ahono Village, East Gem Location, Siaya County on 16th April 2020, at a ceremony to be attended by immediate family members only. This will be followed later by a farewell ceremony with full funeral status when the current situation changes and appropriate arrangements are in place. We will not have gatherings for prayers and funeral arrangements in line with the current government guidelines, however tributes and messages can be conveyed through the what’s App group. Son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez. Brother-in-law of Tony, Steve and Patricia Gonzalez and Mary Kungu. Uncle of David and Joy Kungu.

The cortege leaves Coptic Mission Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday, April the 14th at 9am thereafter the burial will take place at the family farm at Muchatha Ngurwe, Kiambaa Sub-County, Kiambu County.

The cortege leaves Mbaku Funeral Home in Matuu on 14th/04/2020 at 8am for burial at his Home in Thokoa Village, Mwingi West Sub-county, Kitui County.

It is with great sorrow that the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi announces the death of Rev. F Francis Kariuki Mugwanjira of Ngenya parish.

Son of John Mugwanjira and Maria Njeri. His siblings were: Philomena Wanjiru, Teresia Gathoni, Martha Wambui, Veronica Kiringa and Daniel Manage.

Rev. Fr. Kariuki worked as a priest in the following parishes Gatundu; Githunguri; Umoja; Blessed Sacrament – Buruburu; St. Paul’s chapel; St. Clare – Kasarani; St. Michael – Otiende and Gathanga parish.

Priests are requested to offer private Masses for the repose of his soul. Requiem Mass will be on Tuesday, 14th April 2020 at St. Austin Parish Msongari and thereafter interment at the clergy cemetery.

N.B. The burial will be by invite only.

Doting mother of Lindsey Muhonja Isiaho, Elton Magotsi Isiaho and Elvis Musungu Isiaho. Sister of Tom Makotsi, Naomi Magotsi, Michael Magotsi, the Late Vincent Lusule Okang’a, Douglas Pinto Magotsi, Lucy Barasa, Andrew Atika, James Attika, Davis Musangi and Loreen Muhando. Sister in-law of Joyce, Emma, Jane, Eunice, Thomas, Melody, Angeline, Benta and Frank. Cousin of the Ndusis, Magotsis, Anjimbis, Carolyne Khabayi Abasas among others. Aunt to many.

Burial will take place on her farm in Kiungani Scheme, Kitale, Mazuri Village on Saturday, 11th April, 2020. In line with the government directive on burials, we will lay Carol to rest in a private ceremony attended by family only. A public memorial service to celebrate her life is planned for at a later date when the government lifts its current guidance.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on Friday 10th April at 7.00 am for Bungoma County. The burial will take place on Saturday 11th April 2020.

We celebrate, with thanksgiving, the life of our beloved Samuel Ngugi Njoroge of Ridgeways Estate, Nairobi who went to be the Lord on 24th March 2020 while undergoing treatment at M.P. Shah Hospital, Nairobi.

Son of Rewel Njoroge and Beth Wangui. Husband of Damaris Ngendo Ngugi, father of the late Catherine Wangui, the late Jane Wambui, the late Grace Njeri, Irene Wairimu, Edwin Njoroge and Christine Wanjiru. Father-in-law of Margret Mwihaki, John Muchiri and Fred Kiritu. Grandfather of Winnie and Peter, Lewis, Hans, Shawn, Ramesh, Mitchele, Kimberly, Tatyana, Ethan and Tamara, great grandfather of Karl. Brother of Grace, Joel, Rachel, James, Wanjiru, Kamande and Harry.

He was laid to rest on the 26th March 2020 at a private family ceremony in Gatanga due to the current Corona (Could 19) situation.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life at a later date.

Mother-in-law of Philip Nguti (Msa), Helen Kithuma (UoN), Joseph Manyunza (Kikambuani), Matilda Mutuku, Kate Muthama (USA) and Juliana Muema (Canada).

Grandmother and great-grandmother of many.

Burial arrangements are in progress. Burial will take place in Kiumoni village, Kawethei, Kangundo, Machakos County.
