It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Miriam Dete Nyamuthe of Awasi God of the Universe Church that occurred on February 27, 2020 at the Lake Hospital Kisumu.

Wife of the late Angelus, Nyamuthe Ng’idi of Koguta, Awasi. Sister in law to Samson Oyoo, the late Aloo Ng’idi, the late Akello Ng’idi and the late Ouko Ng’idi among others. Daughter of the late Isaac Nyamuok and Sarah Apunda. Sister to Maritha Okombo, Paulina Otieno, the late Jacob Adhanja, the late Shadrack Okongo and the late Benjamin Ochola Nyamuok. Mother of Bishop Mark Anjenjo of God of the Universe Church, Pastor Silas Owitty, Susan Ober, Debora Anyango, Enock Otyeno, the late Martha Auma, Phoebe Akumu and Dr.Timothy Oketch of TIMCON. Mother in law of Pamella Anjenjo, Rose Owitty, Bishop John Ober, Betty Otyeno, and Dr. Consolata Oketch. Grandmother to 40 children including Faith Adhiambo, Bob, Jack and Oliver Anjejo, Rosemary Nyamoki, Faith Ogunyo, Ken Otyeno, Mary Akinyi, Linda Braunig, Wycliffe Sande, Brenda Otieno, Ruth Oketch among others. Great-grandmother to 57 children and great-great grandmother to one.

Prayers and meetings are being held every evening at her home in Awasi, Kisumu County.

There will be a Memorial Service at the Awasi GUC Church to celebrate her life on Friday March 13, 2020 starting at 11:00 am.

The cortege will leave the Otho Mortuary the same day at 3:00pm for a night vigil and prayers at her home. The funeral will take place at her home on Saturday March 14, 2020 from 10:00am.

Loving husband of Josphine Mukomunene (Deceased) and later of Florence Kagwiria. Son of the late Samwuel M’Ibiri and Rebbecca Muchuri of Naari. Son-in-law of Evangeline Maingi and Mr & Mrs Julia Thuranira. Loving father of Martin Kimaita (UNOPS Sierre Leone), Timothy Guantai (Simba Cement) and Mercy Karimi. Father-in-law of Makandi Kimaita, Doreen Guantai and Macharia Kago. Grandfather of Nene, Kimathi, Ryan, Kago, Nkatha & Liam. Brother of James, the late Kamundi, the late Muthamia, the late Mwari, the late Mukomeru, the late Mangati and the late Zipporah. Brother-in-law of Salome, Janet, Nyoroka, Mr & Mrs Nteere, Mr & Mrs Ndegwa, Ms. Gladys. Uncle of Jediel, Frank, Ken, Joseph, Kirimi, Abed amongst others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Norwich Union Kimathi Street (Nairobi), and Muruguma (Naari).

He will be laid to rest on Friday 6th March, 2020 in Meru County, Imenti North Naari Muruguma Village. The cortege will leave Kiirua Mission Hospital on Friday 6th March, 2020 at 10.00 a.m. for Church Service at Muruguma Methodist Church and thereafter to his home in Muruguma Village, Naari to lay his body to rest.

Mother of Catherine (KMTC), Zachary (DAMATEK), Felix (Melilo /Australia), Joyline (Maasai Mara University), Maureene (KERRA HQS), Rogers (Embakasi Police). Step mother of Priscilla, the late Monica, Gladys, James, Bethwel, Caleb and Lenny. Sister of John, Julia, David Erick, Salina, the late James, Grace, Haron and Rose. Grandmother of Jeruto, Kemboi, Boyo, Mitchelle, Kimu, Lisa among others. Loving Great grandmother of Stephanie. Mother-in-law of Birir, Dr. Maureen, Washika, Agnes, Patrick and Purity.

Burial arrangements are going on daily at her home at Kamelilo, Eldama Ravine and Eldoret (Elgon View – Zachary Home).There will be a fund raising at Sirikwa Hotel Eldoret and their home Eldama Ravine from 5pm on Wednesday 4th March 2020.

The cortege leaves Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret at 7am on 6th March 2020 for a funeral service and burial on the same day from 10am at their Kamelilo home, Eldama Ravine, Koibatek, Baringo County.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Brian Johnson Ayiera (formerly of H Young & Co E.A) that happened on 27/02/2020 after a short battle with stomach cancer.

Son of Mzee Jabez Ayiera and the late Clarice Anyango Wenje. Step son of Matilda Ayiera. Grandson of the late Walter Ayiera and Elizabeth Atieno, Margaret Ogal among others. Brother of Walter, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Mildred and Euralia Nephew of Rose A.Oduk, Fred Ayiera, George Ayiera, Dinah Ayiera and Evans Ayiera among others. Cousin of Victor, Larry, Adelyn Achieng, Felix, Mark, Perry, Tabby, Sarah, Vera, Claudio, Myra and others. Brother in law of Tina Ochola Arunga, Paul among others. Uncle of Chan, Zaki, Alvez, Nadia, Zarya and friend to many.

The memorial service will be held at ICC International Christian Center along Mombasa Road is on Wednesday 11th March 2020, from 9.45am.

Daily meetings are held in Akiba Estate South B house No. 59.The main Harambee will be held on Thursday 5th March 2020 at The All Saints Cathedral from 5.00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home on Thursday 12th March 2020. Burial will be on Friday 13th March at his father’s home in Ranen Village, Awendo Constituency, Migori County.

The Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization’s (KALRO) Board of Management and the entire staff join the family, relatives and friends in mourning Dr. William Mnene who passed away on 20th February 2020 after a long illness bravely borne.

Until his death, Dr. Mnene was the Director, KALRO —Arid and Rangelands Research Institute, Kiboko. In him the KALRO fraternity has lost a dear friend and colleague. We shall greatly miss him and we pray that during this trying moment God gives the family, friends and relatives strength and courage.

The cortege leaves St. Joseph’s Mortuary on Thursday, 5th March 2020 at 10.00 a.m. for burial on 6th March 2020 at his Kimala Home, Taveta County.

Albert Opiyo was born on 28th September 2007. He peacefully rested on 24th February 2020 while undergoing treatment at Getrude’s Children’s Hospital Muthaiga Nairobi.

Son of Collins Maurice and Elizabeth Resa Amachar. Nephew of Tabitha Halima, Rebecca Beverlyne, Meshack Kiligori, Dancun Omunyin, Susan Ipalei, and Sarah Mutonyi. A great grandchild of Jacob Oruko Ajaa (deceased), ,Daniel Wabuke, grandchild of Absolom Mwibanda (DCI Headquarters), Patrick Idewa (Rtrd. DCI officer), Francis Omunyin (Deceased), Pharnice Esther Nyongesa, Rosemary Kuraru (Police Headquarters), Jacinta Peters Mueni, Selina Opiyo, Nicholas Wanzala, Simon lkisai Omunyin, Nicholas Wanzala, and Erneyo Wanjala Ongoro.

Friends and Familly members will meet on Wednesday 4th March 2020 at 1700 hours at Garden Square Nairobi for a fundraiser.

Burial will take place on 7th of March 2020 at Koteko sub-location, Kocholia Location, Teso North Sub-County, Busia county.

Sr. Hildegard Mbando was born in 1938 at Kilimanjaro — Moshi, Tanzania. Daughter of the late Alois Mkira Mbando and Magdalena Kilapalio.

The cortege leaves St. Joseph Shelter of Hope Hospital – Voi on Wednesday 4th March 2020 for a vigil at Bura Mother House Chapel. Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday 5th March 2020 at 10.00 am at Bura Motherhouse, followed by burial at the Sisters’ Cemetery in Bura, Taita.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nashon Kariuki Karanjah, formerly of Standard Chartered Bank.

Nashon was the son of the late Godfrey Karanja Mukuna & the late Phoebe Wanjiru Karanja of Ol Joro Orok, Nyairoko Scheme. He was a loving husband to Elsie Waruguru Karanjah; a devoted father to Dr. Edgar Kamau Karanjah & Rosemary Wairimu Kamau and Evelyne Wanjiru Karanja; and a doting grandfather to Gichora Kariuki Maina.

He was a son-in-law to the late Dickson Kamau & the late Miriam Njeri Kamau of Kijabe. He was the brother of Washington Mukuna, Grace Wairimu Gakio, the late Johnson Murathe, Rose Wamuhu Kibe, late Gladys Wambui Kinyanjui and Simon Mungai Karanjah. He was a supportive grandfather, uncle and cousin, and an engaging friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his residence for prayers at 5pm daily until Wednesday 4th March.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 9am on Friday 6th March. The funeral service will be held at 10am at Kenya Assemblies of God Highway Church, Ole Shapara Avenue, South C. Interment will follow at Langata Cemetery.

The cortege will leave Chiromo Funeral Parlour on Friday, 6th March 2020 at 7:30am. Funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Church, Ngong Rd, from 10am.Thereafter, the interment will be at Lang’ata Cemetery.
