Daughter of the late Samuel Okello Ojuando and Anna Rosa Diang’a of Wahanda Village, East Kadianga Location Kisumu County. Wife of the late Henry Nying’uro Akala of Gem Akala, Mabinju sub-location Siaya County. Co-wife of the late Norah Adoyo Nying’uro. Adored mother of the late Ruth Achieng’ Ochieng’, Advocate Fredrick Odumo Nying’uro of the judiciary, Teresa Akoth and Stella Anyango. Step mother of Eliud Okumu, Professor Philip Nying’uro, Monica Otina and Barack Akala. Grandmother of the late Brian and Ben, Merlene and Risper Ochieng. Sister of the late Joshua Osamba, the late Musa Obonyo, the late Norah Nying’uro, Benjamin Otieno, Tito Onyango, the late Janes Osino and the late Turfosa Okumu and Philista Andhunga among others.

Sister-in-law of the late Alfayo Nying’uro Akala, the late mwalimu Dennis Obonyo, the late Willis Akala, Henry Odinga Site, Lornah Obonyo and Florence Anyango Osamba. Niece of the late Adiel Ojuando, the late Robert Maina and the late Joseph Atela. Loving aunty of Prof. Jane Konditi, Prof. George Omondi, Deputy Commissioner Julius Otieno, Jackton Okumu, Yussuf Okumu, Sam Osamba, Iskah Okello, Ruth Ogoye, Mary Omburo, Willis Obonyo, Florence Osamba, Anne Ambiso, Tabitha Ojuok, Okoth Onyango among others, Mother-in-law of Nelson Ochieng Nyamita of Kano Kobura.

The cortege leaves Aghakan Hospital Mortuary in Kisumu on 28th February 2020 at 12 noon for funeral services at Dala Hera CCA Church in Kisumu, presided by the Most. Reverend Patrick Ligawa Nyagudi, Archbishop HERA Masogo. Thereafter the body will proceed to her home In Ahero for an overnight vigil.

The burial will be at her Ahero home on Saturday the 29th February, 2020.

Grandmother of 49 grandchildren among them: Bosco, Hon. R. Onyinkwa, Reuben, Edna, Maurine, Oscar, Treavor, Immanuel, Kevin, Stephen, among others Inspiring Great Grandmother of 67 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grand Children – Ebichembene. Auntie of Zachy, Edward, Peter, late Andrea among others. Korera of Onteri, Mwamba, Nyatuka, Mokono, Ondande, Ogutu all late, Nyangoya, Nyamweno, late Nyamao and late Nyantika.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home.

The cortege leaves Christiana Maria Hospital mortuary on Thursday 27th Feb 2020 at 11.00am.

Wife of Dr Frankline Amunga Mother to Josline Amunga, Rowena Amunga, Emmanuel Amunga, Tracy Hamilton Cleveland Amunga, Pamela Amunga, Caroline Ominde, Raydon Amunga, and Victoria Amunga. Mother in law to Jacob Munyasa, late Ayub Chongo, Thomas Hamilton, Janet Muyokani Agnes Khayinga, Kelly Khayinga, Paul Ominde. Grandmother of 14.

She will be laid to rest on Sunday 23/2/2020 at her home, Chebwai area Manyoje village Kakamega county, Conducted by Chebwai SDA Church

County Assembly Of Kiambu Special Tribute To Hon. Odhiambo Cyrus Omondi, MCA

It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of sadness that the County Assembly of Kiambu learnt about the demise of Hon. Odhiambo Cyrus Omondi who until his passing was the member for Kahawa Wendani Ward in Ruiru Sub County. Hon Omondi died last week while on an official duty in Mumbai, India.

Hon. Omondi was a patriotic, brave, selfless and dedicated Member who lit up the lives of all who knew him and touched the lives of many he never met. On behalf of the County Assembly of Kiambu and the Staff, I wish to send our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to his family, relatives, friends and the Kahawa Wendani electorate. May God give you peace during this period of bereavement.

Until his demise, Hon. Omondi was the Chairperson of the Education, Science and Research Committee. He was also a Member of the Assembly Business Committee (ABC) and County Planning and Urbanisation Committee. He had also served as a Member of County Budget and Appropriations Committee and the County Administration and Public Service Committees. He was very instrumental in championing Scouts Movement in the County as the Chairman of International Parliamentarians Scouts Association-Kiambu Chapter and a life member of Kenya Scouts Association.
