It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the death of Stephen Karuma Kimari formerly of Concord Insurance Company which occurred on 4th August 2019 after a short illness.

Beloved husband of Jane Sarah Wambui Karuma. Son of Evanson Kimari Gachanja and the late Maria Wahura Kimari.

Son in law of Johnson Kihara Njuru and Winnie Wangari Kihara.

An adoring father of Dennis and Catherine Kimari, Martin and Joanne Kihara.

He leaves behind three grandchildren Maria Wambui Kimari, Imani Wanjiru Kimari and Zara Warnbui Kihara.

Brother of Joel and Yessina Gachanja, Fraciah and late Jackson Wanyeki, the late Wangui, Francis and Pamela Chege, Joseph and Jane Ngai, the late Kariuki, Johnson and Ann Mutua, Ann Njeri, Jane and David Kiige, and Flora and Hon Chris Wamalwa, MP Kiminini Constituency.

Brother-in-law of C.N. Kihara and Consolata, Julius and Julia Kaiya. James and Judy Kanogo, Stephen and Agnes Kiragu, Muthoni Kihara, Irene Kihara and Penina and Waweru Gachiri.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, starting at 5.30pm, from Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th and at his home in Kitengela and father’s home in Kiamuturi Village.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Tuesday 13th August, 2019 at 7.00am.

Funeral service will be at ACK St. Phillips Church Kiamuturi starting from 11.00am and followed thereafter by burial ceremony in Kiamuturi Village, Mioro Location, Kiru Division, Mathioya District in Murang’a County.

The face we loved is missing, loved once never die, they rest in God’s hands and live in our hearts forever.

Brother of Joyce Pharis, the late Joyce Wanjiru, Eric Karanja, James Kabugi, Mary Wambui, Samuel Mbogo, Paul Mburu, Esther Mathaiya,Titus Kimani, David Ng’ang’a, Simon Mugo, Daniel Mwaura, Beth Wanjiku, Ruth Njeri, Joshua Chege, George Kamau, Margaret Wangari, Joyce Wanjiru, Phyllis Waithira, Samuel Mbogo, Ruth Wangui and Simon Mugo. A brother-in-law of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Nairobi residence from 6.00pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, 9th August, 2019 at PCEA Evergreen Church Runda from 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday 13th August 2019 at 7.00am for burial at his rural home in King’uri village, Gatanga.

Brother of the late Nyamboto Otundo, the late Susanna Otundo, Sabina Angwenyi, Florence Otundo, and Cornelia Otundo.

Step-brother of Lydia Otundo, Eric Otundo, Antony Otundo, Dr Benard Otundo, Dennis Otundo, Claire Otundo, Pamela Otundo, Ragira Otundo and Geoffery Otundo.

Nephew of Joachim Nyamao, William Makori and the late Nyatuga.

Cousin of Atambo Mang’aa, Daniel Juma, Mellen, Gregory, Gladys, Ototo, the late Mironga and Gisairo.

Brother-in-law of Andrew Angwenyi, Elkana Nyambati, Dismas Nyarimbasia and Bagwasi.

The cortege will leave Kisii Level 5 Hospital, on Thursday, August 8th, 2019 at 2.00pm.

The funeral service will be on the 9th of August 2019 at his home in Nyatieko, Kisii county.

He will be remembered for his love of life and fondness for his large family.

We loved him but God loved him more.

The cortege will proceed to Kericho for a vigil at his home. There will be a funeral service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Kericho on Thursday 8th August  2019 at 9.00a.m followed by a private cremation.
