The Orora family with sadness announce the death of Mary Bosibori Oyugi Orora.

Beloved wife of the late Mwalimu James Oyugi Orora. Daughter of the late Zablon Ondicho and the late Mama Loise Kemunto Ondicho. Mother of the late Pamela, the late Bernard, Margaret (CGH, Kakamega), Richard (National Bank, Westlands) and Susan (Florensis, Naivasha). Step mother of Obed (Mojus), and Edgar (Glory Group). Daughter-in-law of the late Pastor Elijah Orora and late Mama Elizabeth Orora.

Sister of Aska, Jerusha, Jena, Marita, Lydia, lsabelah, Daniel, Florah and late Samuel. Sister-in-law of the late Dr. John Orora, Pauline, the late Peninah, Elias, Janet, Fred, Peter, Hobadiah, Mary, Jairus and Steve. Mother-in-law of Ken Lunalo (ACC, Nyando), Tinkhani (ANU, Rongai), Martin Tenge (KENGEN), Deborah and Pendo. Korera of Joseph and Hannah Lunalo, the late Reuben and Margaret Nyirenda, John and the late Ettah Tenge, Samson and Peninah Tururi, Mramba Mweni and Selina Kazungu. Grandmother of Lunalo, Ambani, Pamela, Sammy,Tamara, Loise, Reuben among others.

Funeral service and burial will be held on Friday, 21st July 2017 at her home, Omoremi Farm, Kisii Township along Kisii – Kericho Road near Kisii University.

Jesse Mose Michoma (JJ)

It is with a great sense of loss that we announce the abrupt passing on of our beloved Jesse Mose Michoma (JJ) which occurred on 13th July 2017. JJ was a student at JKUAT (Mechatronic Engineering).

Beloved son of Plan James Machuka Michoma and Margaret Moraa. Brother of Michael Mabeya, Reyna Kemunto, Jay Nyantari, Roy Keng’ara, Sandra Bousi and Samantha Nyaboke. Grandson of the late Hon. Stephen Michoma and the late Mama Monica Gesare; the late Mzee Joseph Onduko and Mama Sabina Kemunto. Nephew and cousin of many.

Daily meetings are being held at the family residence in Milimani, Nakuru (Kipsigis Rise) from 5pm.

Fundraising to meet funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday 25th July 2017 at Old Town Hall Nakuru at 5pm. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Dorcas Risper Tsisiche Anzaya

Mother of Emily Meso, Alex Chapia, Rose Ngaira, Julius Nganga, the late Phyllis Ondari, Alice Epiche, Helder Mutuli, Venerable John Anzaya  and Milka Lutta. Sister of the lateJackson Shireku, Eunice Okeno, the late Arthur Olusakha, the late Javan Sawanga, Ayako, Ondari and Tabitha. Sister-in-law of the late Joel Omungala, Mikael Shitote,Stephen Shitote, Peter Moyi, Hezr’on Ochieng, Julius Angulu, Eshuchi, and Freda Erambo. Mother-in-law of Francis Meso, Johnstone Ngaira,Tom Epiche, Samson Mutuli, the late James Malika, Phanice, Metrine and Judith. Grandmother and Great grandmother of many.

The cortege leaves Rabuori mortuary on Thursday 20th July at 9am for a funeral service at ACK Mwirembe. Burial will take place on Saturday 22nd July at her home in lwirembe village Kisa East from 10am.

Mr.Thomas Mwisawa Turuka

Born 20.12.1967 Died: 12.07.2017

We regret to announce the untimely demise of our beloved Mr. Thomas Mwisawa Turuka CP which occurred on 12th July 2017 in Laikipia West after a bandit attack.

Son of late Mzee. Peter Turuka and Mama Catherine Robi of Naora Village Kuria West. Husband to Carolyne Macheta Mwisawa. Father to Maxwel Sereria and Jackson Marwa (St. Peter’s Elite Gilgil), Simon Masana (St. Joseph Rapogi), Ian Turuka (Multimedia University) and Jessica Robi (Chuka University). Brother to Sereria, the late Jackson Marwa, Joel, Nyamohanga, Nyakoba and Waisiko. Son-in-law to Mr. & Mrs. Simon Masana and brother-in-law and uncle to many. Until his untimely death, the late was the Deputy Commandant of ASTU-Gilgil and formerly served in the Presidential Escort Unit.

The family and funeral committee would like to invite well-wishers, friends and relatives to a fundraiser on 20th July 2017 from 5.00pm in Nairobi at TINTIN Restaurant (KICC); and also on the same day at his home in ISIBANIA, Kuria West from 2.00pm.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Moses Otiende Sijenyi which occurred on 8th July 2017 in Kisumu. Husband of Jane Otiende. Father of Janet Otiende, George Otiende, Irene Otiende, Collins Sijenyi, Joseph Otiende and July Otiende.

Grandfather of Brad, Nicole, Ojera, Cherish, Marvel, Christian, Jason, Moses Jr, Stanley, Chiamaka and Victoria.

Burial will take place on Saturday 22nd July 2017 at his home at Kajulu-Mamboleo, near Obuolo Secondary School Kisumu County at 11.00am.

Brother of the late Bernard Mukui, Esther Wamaitha (wa John), the late John Kimata and Felistas Gathoni Waruiru. Grandfather and great-grandfather of many. Uncle of Zachary Waruiru Mukui, Maria Naimasia, Salome Wanjiru Mburu, Hilary Waruiru, Judy Wanjiru, Martin Mukui among others. Father-in-law of FK Mwangi, Margaret Wanjiku Waruiru and Waweru Wachira. Mr. Jotham Ngunza Amisi (Mister)

A final meeting will be held on the evening of Tuesday 18th of July 2017.A funeral service will be held at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Karen on Wednesday 19th July 2017 from 2:00 p.m. The Shrine is located next to Galieria Mall, Karen.

Burial will be held on Saturday 22nd of July 20 I 7 at his home in Gimomoi sub-location, Gisambai, Vihiga County.

Daughter of late Phanuel Mathenge Mahiuha and late Peris Wandia Mahiuha of thari village Wandumbi location Tetu division Nyeri county. Mother of late Peter Mwangi and late Jane Mweru, Anne Maina of govt.chemist and Steve Maina, Veronica Njagi of KNH Radiology dept and Stevens Njagi and Mary Wanjiku Nderitu of Moi Airbase. Sister of the late Charles Munyiri, the late Jedida Waitiki, Wangechi Githongo, the late Gladys Mumbi, Charles Maranga of Kerugoya amongst others. Grandmother of Nderitu, Githungo, Wairimu, Mambo, Wanjiru, Andy, Murimi, Wawira,Tonny and Wanjiru. Great-grandmother of Makena, Jessie, Amara and Marlene.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and burial arrangements at her home in Luisoi. Nairobi people are meeting at All Saints Cathedral on 17th and 18th July 2017 from 5pm. Burial will be on 20th July 2017 at her home in Luisoi Village Kyeni. The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral home on 20th July 2017 at 8.30 am.

Loving wife of Mark Mesdag. Doting mother to Frazer Mesdag of Hillcrest Prep School. Beloved daughter of Basiliano Miring’u Nyagah and Jane Wairuri Nyagah. Step daughter to Margaret Muthoni Nyagah. Daughter-in-law to the late Herve Mesdag and Monique Mesdag. Sister-in-law to Terry Mesdag and Christine Hadwen.

Sister to Richard Muchiri and Maureen Wanjiru. Half-sister to Catherine Wambui, the late Robert lrungu, jacinta Nyambura, Eric Wanyoike and Anthony Mwangi. Aunt to Walter Miringru, James Kinuthia and Cole Nyagah. Niece, cousin and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting at Tamasha Joint Karen, Dambusters restaurant Wilson Airport and Outspan Inn Outering road, Kariobangi starting at 6 pm. The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Friday 21st July 2017 at 10 am and thereafter a funeral service and burial at the Langata Cemetery at 11 am.

Phyllis Wambui Mwangi

27 March 1942 – 13 July 2017

We regret to announce the death of Phyllis Wambui Mwangi, after a long illness borne with the aplomb that characterized her life.

Beloved and loving wife of Wilson Muhunyo Mwangi of Kigumo. Mother of Ciru and Maina  Mwangi, Carol and Joe Onsando and the late Peter Gichora. Grandmother of Ciku, Aisha, Moraa, Za’adi, Muhunyo,Wamzi and Gichora. Sister of Damaris Kimura, Pastor StanleyWainaina, Gladwell Gichoho, Jane Wairimu Peters, Naomi Njeri Gichora, Pastor Isaac Maina and Dr. Mercy Gichora. Aunt, friend, counsellor, and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The funeral service will be held at Kigumo Bendera High School, Kigumo, Murang’a County, at 10 a.m. on Friday 21 July 2017, to be followed by burial at her home. A meeting of remembrance will be held at her house on Kabiria Road, Riruta, Nairobi, on Wednesday 19July 2017 starting at 4pm.
