Celina Kathambi Kaumbuthu

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Celina Kathambi Kaumbuthu, on 21st October, 2022 at Nairobi West Hospital. Until her demise, she was the Deputy Principal at Athwana Secondary School.

Beloved wife to Wilson Kaumbuthu. Mother of Doreen Gakii, Caroline Mwendwa and Betty Makena. Grandmother of Victoria Nkirote and Mitchel Maingi.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Rosaria M’Mwereria. Sister to Susan Karwitha, Lucy Ngugi, the late Festus Mutua, the late Luka Kigunda, Sarah Ntinyari, Njema Kanario Duncan Kiathi, Patrick Murithi, the late Hellen Mukami and Joshua Mwenda.

Daughter-in-law of the late Fredrick Kiugu and Zipporah Regeria. Sister-in-law of Muthee, Karimi, Nkirote, Nathan, Gikundi, Kathure and Mwiti, among others.

Friends and family members are meeting at her Runogone home for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Friday 28ch October, 2022 at 8.30am for funeral service at Runogone Methodist Church. Burial will be held thereafter at her home in Runogone Village, Meru County.
