Charles Gichango Wanjohi

It is with profound grief and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Charles Gichango Wanjohi after an illness bravely borne. He passed away on Thursday, 19th September, 2019 while undergoing treatment at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi.

Son of the late Wanjohi Thairu and the late Margaret Mukami Wanjohi. Loving husband of Mary Wanjiru Gichango and Beatrice Wairimu Gichango. Father of Andrew Kanumbi, Margaret Wamuyu, Solomon Wanjohi, Simon Thairu, Wanjohi Gichango, George Wachira and Peter Thairu. Brother of the late Nyaguthii Mathanjuki, the late Cyrus Thairu Wanjohi, Jane Muthoni Mwangi, Loise Wanjugu Gachina, Richard Githinji Wanjohi and Mercy Wangui Wahome.

Brother in law of Joshua Mwangi Kanumbi, Ziporra Wangari Waithaka, Hellen Wambui Kanumbi, JecintaWairimu Kanumbi of Naivasha,Francis Maina Kanumbi, the late Prisca Muthoni Mwangi and Jane Njeri Mbugua, Kimani Wachira, Robert Irungu, Julia Muthoni, John Mwangi. Uncle of Stephen Kiuri, Mathenge Gachina, Margaret Mukami, Robert Wanjohi, Grace Murugi, Catherine Nyaguthii and many others. Caring uncle, kind cousin and great friend of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Norwich Union Towers, his home in Buruburu, and in Thangathi Location, Ngaku Village from 5.00 PM for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 8.00 A.M on Friday 27/09/2019 for funeral service at his rural home in Mukurw-ini, Thangathi Location, Ngaku village.
