Charles Kimani Karau

We are saddened to announce the death of Charles Kimani Karau on 1st October 2019 at the blessed age of 70.

Kimani was son to the late Samson Karau Kanyumba and Salome Wanjiku Karau; loving husband to Jacinta Njoki; father to Salome Wanjiku (KIE), Rose Wairimu (Loreto Limuru), Anthony Wachuru, George Kimani, Late Andrew Mario Karau and Rita Mugure (KQ). He is brother to Amb/Dr. Stephen Karau, Late Eng. Joe Mwariri & Dr. M Kanyumba, Lucy Mbuthia, late Sr. Edel, Mary Ngethe, Martha K Ikiki, Bernard Karau, Agnes Michuki, Charity Gichira, Major (Rtd) Karau and Dominic Karau. He was father in law to Julius Ribiro, John Kagwi, Wanjiku George & Rose Tony; Brother-in-law to Dr. Lucy Karau, Regina Karau, Late Njunu & Mbuthia, David Ngethe, Erastus Ikiki, Susan Mwangi, Raymond Michuki, Dr Patrick Gichira, Lydia Karau & Beth Karau. Grandfather to Denno, Trevor, Andrew, Telvin, Telsy, Brenda, Bravin, Brandon, Kiama & Amanda. He was a loving uncle to many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at the Ridgeways Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday 3rd Friday 4th & Monday 5th October from 6pm and at his Muruka home.

There will be a prayer service at his Muruka home on Sunday 6th October from 2pm.

The funeral will be on Tuesday 8th October 2019 at his Muruka home in Kandara, Muranga County; Cortege will leave KU Funeral Home at 8:30am.
