Charles Muteru Wambugu

We regret to announce the demise of Charles Muteru Wambugu formerly of Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

He was the son of the late Ibrahim Wambugu Kamotho and the late Hannah Nyokabi Wambugu and step-son to Juiiah Nyaguthii Wambugu.

Husband to the late Lucy Wambui Muteru. Father to Bernard Maina, Edward Wambugu, Andrew Mwangi, David Muraya, Ann Nyokabi and John Gichuki.

Brother to the late Ephraim Kamotho, Elizabeth Githaiga, Peter Gichuki, Samuel Gachuru, Daniel Wangara and the late Ruth Wambui Kahuthu. Step-brother to Kamotho, Wanjiku, Munuhe, Wangui, Gichuki and Wachoro of Munyange, Othaya.

Son-in-law to the late Ayub Maina Kamuri and the late Bernice Wangui Kamuri.

Father-in-law to Njeri, Rose, Lucy, Janet and Eva.

Grandfather to Kevin, Ian, Keith, Wambui, Jeremy, Teresa, Grace, Malachi, Winner, Sitalia, Brenda and Ryan, Loise, Judah and Michael. Cousin and uncle to many.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru at 9.00am for burial at his farm in Kiamunyi on Thursday 22nd June 2023. Service will be held at the graveside.

Friends and family are meeting in Nairobi at Cardinal Otunga Plaza Annex, 5th floor (Room: St. Callistus) on Tuesday 20th June from 4.00pm – 8.00pm.
