Baba, it has been 730 days! Journeying through life without your physical presence in it feels incomplete but your love undoubtedly lights our path.

As we honor and commemorate your life today, I wonder if we thanked you enough?

For being such a loving and present father, for celebrating our successes, understanding us and accepting us despite our failings? Constantly teaching by your example, the values of hard work, good judgment, fearlessness and  integrity?

Did we ever thank you for your sacrifices so selflessly made for us to have the very best? For life’s priceless gestures of laughter, smiles and humorous stories that you so generously shared? For being the glue that bound us together.

This therefore is a thank you note to express our gratitude and sincere hope that you knew all along how much you meant to us.

Gratitude is the theme for this year’s commemorative events that will include a prayer at the adoration chapel of Christ the King Parish in Accra, followed by a ‘honoring of life celebration of love’ do in East Legon featuring candlelight, music and a floral tribute,
