Charles Owino Jamwa

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sad demise of our beloved Charles Owino Jamwa on 10th October 2019, after a long illness brave borne.

Charles was the son of the late Joshua Rabuor Opondo and the late Emily Akello Opondo and stepson to the late Dina Juma Opondo of East Ugenya, Masiro Kathieno, Inungo Village. Beloved husband of Jayne Akumu Jamwa. Father of Julian Omondi Jamwa and Cecil Oloo Jamwa. Son-in-law of the late Egbert Omole and the late Emily Omole of Gem, Yala. Brother of Margaret Omolo, Peris Opondo, Mildred Ojwang’, Caleb Rabuor, Carren Opondo, Shadrack Ochanda, Elizabeth Opondo, Edward Agunja, Evans Ogolla, Jane Opondo, Martha Nyawiny, Fred Opondo and Oliver Opondo. Cousin of Francis Otieno, Vitalis Omondi, Owino Ayaya, James Ooko, and Samwel Onyango among others. Uncle of Adams, Lilian, Salome,Wambui Otieno, Maurice Opondo, Patrick Omondi (of USA) and Quincy Opondo (of Canada) and Belin Akumu among others. He was an in-law of Enock Omollo, Moses Ojwang Sika, Millicent Otieno, Dr. Juliana Ogolla (of USA), Millicent Agunja, Jemimah Owiti and Evelyn Ochieng, Winnie Lukuba, Selpha Koyier, Yuniah Oduor and Roselinda Omole among others.

There will be a fundraising on Monday 21 October 2019 at Professional Centre, Parliament Road, off Haile Selassie Avenue from 2:00 pm.

Daily meetings are being held daily at the Jamwa family home in Langata from 5:00 pm, until Wednesday 23rd October.

The body leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 24th October at 9:30 am for a church service at the International Christian Centre, near to Nyayo Stadium along Mombasa Road, starting at 10:30 am.

The cortege departs Umash Funeral Home on Friday 25 October for burial on Saturday 26th October in Inungo Village, Ugenya starting at 10.00am.
