Appreciation

We the Muriuki’s family wish to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to God Almighty and to all those who walked the journey with us through the sickness, demise and send off of our beloved Charlton Murithi Muriuki.

Sincere thanks to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta (CGH), Office ofThe President led by CS Dr. Fred Matiangi, PS Dr. Karanja Kibicho, PS Energy Dr. Gordon Kihalangwa (who represented the government at the funeral), Internal Security Secretary Mr.Wilson Njega, Inspector General of Police Mr. Hillary Mutyambai, DIG KPS Mr. Edward Mbugua and DIG APS Mr. Noor Gabow, DCI Mr. George Kinoti and your entire teams for the enormous support accorded to us.

With humbleness we acknowledge the special support that we received from the Clergy across all denominations in Nairobi and at Gatakene in Meru. Special mention goes to St Andrews P.C.E.A Church Nairobi, Rev. Dorcas Kamau, the Kenya Police Service (KPS) Chaplaincy led by Rev. Wambugu and Rev. Ikinya, former P.C.EA Moderator Rev. Dr. Julius Guantai Mwamba, Pastor Mwingi of Nairobi Grace Chapel, Rev. Bias Gitonga of Deliverance Church Embakasi, Thome P.C.E.A Church and all other spiritual parties that ministered the word and consoled us. The Meru clergy team led by Rev. Daniel Mwanikl of lgoki South parish and all churches that graced the sendoff ceremony Asantena Sana!

The serving and former officers at the National Police Service (NPS) and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), thank you for being true brothers and keeper to Charlton.

Special recognition goes to the various organizations that spearheaded various efforts to fund raise during Charlton’s illness, his treatment in South Africa and Nairobi and send off. The Regional Centre on Small Arms (RECSA), The Kenya National Focal Point on Small Arms and Light Weapons. National Defense University Alumni, Department of Internal Affairs at NPS, International Police Association (Interpol) Kenya Chapter, DHL Global forwarding, Central Bank of Kenya, Colleagues of Ronny from UON, Colleagues of Collins from MKU’s and Kabarak, the entire Ministry of Education-State Department for Vocational & Technical Training, TVET CDACC among other educational institutions and their friends, we felt your love. God bless you and reward you.

Nthuki Social Club,Wanatech Alumni among other groups, thank you for the warmth you provided from sickness to send off. Our local leaders led by Meru Senator Hon. Kathuri Murungi, Former Governor H.E Kiraitu Murungi, MP Dr. Shadrack Mwiti, MCA Hon. DMK Kiogora local admin led by Regional office commander, DCC, Chiefs and various directors, Asanteni Sana.

Our appreciation goes to the various hospitals including Cancer SA Pretoria South Africa, MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital together with your team of doctors led by Prof Ogutu, Dr Gladwell Kiarie, Dr Esther Nafula, nurses, staff, and the care givers. A special group led by DIG APS Mr. Noor Gabow, Mr. Eric Kiraithe, Mr. Nicholas Kamwende and friends, God Bless you for the wisdom and efforts that got Charlton into quick treatment.

Our deep gratitude to the funeral organizing committee in Nairobi and Gatakene village funeral welfare group, that got together to give our beloved Charlton a befitting send off. Ushers, local security team, the young men who prepared Charlton a final resting house, choirs thank you for your sartifices.

To aII those who joined us physically and virtually, sent us encouraging messages of condolences and gave their contributions we say thank you. May our Almighty God richly reward you for your kind support and prayers that uplifted and gave us comfort.

As it is not possible to mention or reach each one of you individually, accept this as our sincere appreciation to you.
