Charlton Murithi Muriuki EBS, OGW, ndc (k)

It is with immense sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Chariton Murithi Muriuki on 18th August, 2022. Until his demise he was a Senior Assistant Inspector General of police and the Director of Kenya National Focal Point on Illicit Small Arms Weapons under the office of the President.

Son to the late Eustace and Abishag Muriuki. Son-in-law to the late Mr.&Mrs Josphat Mbogori of Kithaku village- Meru. Husband to Hellen Kamami Murithi (Ministry of Education-TVET CDACC Nairobi). Father to Kevin (CBK) and Damaris Kimathi, Ronny Muraguri (UoN) and AL Collins Murimi (Mount Kenya University). Grand-father to Adrian, Emmanuel and Elsie.

Bother to the late Lucy Kagendo and Gikunda, Andrew Gitonga (NPS), Watson and the late Emily Mwenda (Meru) Michael (DHL Global) and Catherine Munene. Brother-in-law to Eunice & Peter, Florence & Gilbert, Jacob & Catherine and Jane.

Uncle to the late Gakii and Mrashui, Mutwiri and Nancy, Mutuma, Muthomi, Mukami, Nkatha, Nyendi, Kanana, Gitari, Mumbe and Kendi. He was a cousin to many.

Family and friends will be meeting at St. Andrew’s Church Plenary Hall from Monday, 22nd to Thursday 25th August, 2022 from 5:30pm for burial arrangements.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 27th August, 2022 at PCEA Gatakene Primary School Grounds Meru County, South Imenti sub-county staring from 10:30am. There after he will be laid to rest at the family home at Gatakene Gituntune village.
