It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Christine Wairimu Gaitho of Kerarapon Drive, Ngong.

Christine leaves behind her husband Macharia Gaitho (Daily Nation columnist) and children Waithera (Alternatives Africa), Wanjiru (Global Health Strategies) and Kent Ngibuini (Gatsby Africa), Anita (Siri Studio), Lisa (Lisa Gaitho Clothing), Nicole and Andrew. She was loving grandmother to Abigail Oyier, Leshan Karuga and Imani Wanjjiku Ngibuini.

Daughter of the late Veronica Wanjiru of Kawangware 46 and Joseph Mbugua Gakau of Kanyoni, Gatundu North.

Daughter-in-law to Mrs Julia Waithira Gaitho and the late Evans Mwangi Gaitho of King’ong’o, Nyeri.

Sister of Peter Mwaura, Maryanne Waithira and Elizabeth Njoki. Half-sister of Mbugua Gakau, Claire Mbugua,Verally,Viona, Consolata and Lydia Gakau. She was sister-in-law to John and Ann Gaitho, Maggie Njeri Kaba, Mary and Patrick Nield, Peter and Loise Gaitho, Nelson and Cecilia Gaitho.

Family and friends are meeting at International Christian Centre (ICC), Kerarapon Drive, from Monday, December 5, to Wednesday, December 7, for prayers and thanksgiving.

The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, December 8, at the ICC Church Nairobi West, at 9:30am; followed by a private family interment.
