Cllr. Kefa Martin Oteng Okwach “Aba”

With humble submission to God’s will, we the family and friends of Cllr. Kefa Martin Oteng Okwach “Aba” announce his death which occurred peacefully in his sleep at his home in Kisumu Kogony Olando Village on 10th May, 2023 after a short illness bravely borne.

Son to the late Hezron Okwach Oyugi and Lois Okwach and Nerea Okwach of Masana Nyahera.

Loving husband of Grace Lorna Adoyo Oteng and Paulina Miyare Oteng.

Son-in-law to the late Turphena and Joash Owino of Nyakach Kajimbo Othith and the late Helena and Raphael Okuna of Sakwa Nyamira.

Brother to Stella Awuor (Namba Okana), Christopher Opinya Okwach (Masana Nyahera), Joseph Otieno Okwach (Masana), Loice Imbo (Ahero), Christabel Odanga (Kitale) & Sophia Abdalla (Nairobi) & the late Samuel Otieno Okwach “Ojande” (Kisumu Kogony), and the late Mary Kinda “Dina” (Namba Okana Ranjira).

Loving father of Samson Oteng & Maureen Odera (Kitale), Richard Oteng & Linet Aduda (Bukura), Patrick Oteng’ & Mereza Lumumba (Kisumu), Habil Oteng and Emmah Ojukwu (Nairobi), Monica Oteng (DC Kisumu) & Solomon Okiro (Rabuor), Janet Oteng (Lolwe) & the late George Ombija (Seme Kombija), Pamela Oteng (Nairobi County) & Daniel Odalo (Gem Yala), Claris Oteng (Kisumu), Andrew Oteng & Rose Young (Kisumu), John Oteng (Juba South Sudan) & Fiona Ominde (Homa Bay Law Courts) & Jared Oteng (Kisumu) & the late Benjamin Oteng, the late Elizabeth Oteng & Tobias Omondi (Masogo) and the late Hellen Oteng.

Grandfather of Martha, Martin, Simon, Lorna, Severiano, Hezron, Benjamin, John, Stephen, Alvin, Alain, Vanessa, Eugene, Eleanor, Samson, Tony, Edline, Inxs, Valerie, Martin, Arthur, Daniella, Jayden, Yvonne, Eric, Pauline, Brian, Martin, Elizabeth, Leon and the late Linda and the late David. He is survived by nine (9) great-grandchildren.

The burial service will be held at his home on Saturday 3rd June, 2023.
