Loving husband of Margaret Wambui Muiru (The National Treasury). Son of the late George Gichuki Muiru and Rahab Wanjiru Gichuki. Loving Father of Diana Muiru Njuguna (Mediamax Network), Catherine Muiru (Coca Cola Company), Olivia Muiru (B Lab), Evelyn Wanjiku Muiru (Publishing) and Ashley Grace Nuthu Muiru (Riara Springs Girls High School). Father-in-law of Oscar Njuguna (Greenlight Planet). Grandfather of Maya Grace Wangari Njuguna

Brother of Mary Wahu Ngugi, the late Daniel Gathura, the late Simon Boro, Grace Woki Gichuki, Samuel Gitiba, Dominic Njihia, Boniface Mwaura, and Elizabeth Nyambura Chege.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home at Muthithi Gardens, Kiambu and his family home in Gitiha Village from 4: 30p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Thursday 13th July, 2017 at 8:00a.m. for burial at his home in Kiambu County, Githunguri Sub County, Ikinu Location, Gitiha Village.
