It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of Corporal Philip Ndegwa Mwangi of Kenya Police Kasarani – Nairobi, that occurred on the night of 12th May, 2022.

He was a cherished son of (Rtd SSP) John Mwangi Githinji and the late Teresia Nyaruai. He was the dotting dad to lan Mwangi, Sharon Nyaruai and Owen Thinwa. He was a loving brother to Ann Muthoni(Nyeri), Grace Wanjiru (Eldoret), the late Stephen Githinji, Priscilla Wangeci (Kinamba), Irene Ndigirigi (Nyeri), the late Robert Kariuki, Geoffrey Ngatia (Leketetue School), Joseph Githinji (NPS Nairobi) & Mary Mwangi (Diamond Trust Bank).

He was brother-in-law to: Micheal Gichohi, the late Dr. Obby Mwangi, the late Mwalimu Kariu, Jackson Mwangi (NEMA), Mary Ngatia, Christine Wambui and Cpt. Wainaina. He was an uncle, cousin, colleague and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at Spark Villa Ruiru bypass, his residence in Kwihota Ruiru as well as their rural home in Nyahururu, Ngarua Division, Gituamba Location,Thigio Sub-location.

The cortege leaves St. Benedict’s Funeral Home (Nyahururu) on Friday, 20th May, 2022 at 9.00am. Funeral service and burial will take place on the same day at their rural home in Nyahururu. Laikipia West Constituency, Ngarua Division, Gituamba Location,Thigio Sub-location.

    I would like to send you my condolences to you all. Knowing that death is the worst enemy that can invade any family as we read in 1 Corithians 15:26, that scripture is encouraging because it also promises that death will be brought to nothing, and this is further explained in John 5:28,29 which reads, ”Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all those who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out.” The link below has some encouraging and promising srciptures from the Bible that can comfort all of us. https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/what-is-the-resurrection/
