CPA Walter Ochieng’ Gumbo

It is with profound grief and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of CPA Walter Ochieng’ Gumbo of Kakdhimu Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County. He was a retired Director at the Office of the Auditor General.

Beloved husband to Roselyne Atieno Gumbo. Father to Witness Gumbo, Agnetta Gumbo, Patriot Gumbo, Bonnie Gumbo, Felix Gumbo, the late Aiphine Gumbo and the late Javan Gumbo. Father-in-law to Caren Osoo. Grandfather to Audrey, Olivia, Kyler and Roseline.

Son to the late Mzee Nashon Gumbo Amayo and the’late Risper Gumbo of Karachuonyo. Step-son to the late Christabel, Rael and the late Dorina.

Son-in-law to the late Michael Ogalo and the late Mama Magdalina Ogalo of Kochia Karamul.

Brother to Eucabeth, Rose,Tewdora, the late Amayo, the late Obuya, the late Mboya, Dr. Festus, Hon. Luke, Janet, Charles, Pastor Samson, Grace, the late Prisca, Joash, Peter, George, Chief Judith, the late Tom, the late Fred, the late Monica, Julius and Quinter.

Brother-in-law to the late Jane, the late Penina, Mary Aoko (Mama Nevine), Mary, Consolata, Dorothy, Millicent, Molyn, Florence, Susan, Eunice, Jael. Alice, Beatrice, Ruth, Quinter and Beryl.

Walter was cousin to Joshua, Johnson, Angira, Ojijo, the late Ezekiel, Orido and Elsa.

The cortege leaves Med 25 Funeral Home – Kirindo, Homa Bay County on Sunday, 7th May 2023. The funeral service and burial will be on 8th May, 2023 at his home in Karachuonyo, Kakdhimu, Homa Bay County.
