Cyrus Nyori Kabena

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cyrus Nyori Kabena of New Muthaiga, Nairobi on 15th. April 2023.

He was the son of the late Fredrick Nelson Kabena and the late Joyce Wanjiru Kabena of Tigoni, Limuru.

Cyrus was a devoted husband to Monica Nyori of New Muthaiga, and a loving father to Vincent and Diana Wanjiku Kabena and Victor Mbuuri and a doting grandfather to Zalea Kabena.

He will be deeply missed by his brothers, John Mukora Kabena, Andrew Mbugua Kabena, Jennifer Njoki Kabena, and Martin Ng’ang’a Kabena. He was also predeceased by his brother, Peter Rugano Kabena.

In addition to his immediate family, Cyrus was a cherished son-in-law to the late Geoffrey Mbuuri Gachura and Esther Nyakianda Mbuuri of Komothai. He will be missed by his sisters-in-law: Stephen Muthiora Mbuuri, Eunice Njeri Kimani, Ruth Wambui Mukuria, Solomon Mbugua Mbuuri, David Njenga Mbuuri, Lucy Kabena, Elizabeth Njoki Rugano, and Irene Pauline Nganga.

Cyrus was a beloved nephew to Geoffrey Ndigi Mukora and Rose Muthoni Mukora, Peninnah Ngugi, Elizabeth Njeri Wathika, Grace Gichungu,Alice Mumbi Mwaura and Samuel Njuguna Mbugua. He will also be fondly remembered as a caring cousin and uncle to many.

Friends and relatives are welcome to attend the daily meetings at St. Batholomew ACK, Nyari, along Westlands Link Road at 5:00pm from Monday, 17th April 2023.

Details of the burial arrangements will be communicated later.
