Dadson Gathuku Maina

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of Dadson Gathuku Maina through a tragic road accident which occurred along Mukurweini – Muranga road on 22nd July 2023.

He was formerly working with KeRRA under the Ministry of Transport.

Son to James Maina Gathuku and Salome Wathanu Maina.

He was a loving husband to Lucy Wangui and dotting father to Gideon Maina, Abby Njoki and Olive Muthoni.

Son-in-law to late Julius Wainaina and the late Jane Muthoni.

Brother to the late Patrick Wahihia, Damaris Muthoni, the late Ann Wanjiru, and Rose Nyaguthii. Step-brother to the late Erastus Gathuku, the late Peterson Thairu, Gladys Muthoni, Deborah Wangechi, George Karanja and Cyrus Mwati.

Uncle to Phoebe, Eunice, Margaret, late Julie, Beatrice, AnnSusan, Dennis and Maina and grandpa to many.

He was cousin to the Gathuku’s and Wahihia’s.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kambwe Mumbi Estate, Murang’a and his parents’ home Ngamwa, Mukurweini from 3.00PM.

The cortege will leave Mukurweini Level 4 Mortuary on Saturday, 29th July, 2023 at 9:00AM and thereafter a memorial service at PCEA Ngamwa Parish, Mukurweini and thereafter interment at his rural home in Ngamwa, Mukurweini.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.
