Daniel Mwai Gachuhi

In humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the sudden death of our dear Daniel “jus Zablon”Mwai Gachuhi on 28th August, 2023.

Mwai is the last-born child of Mr. Charles Gachuhi Muturi of Ndemi Insurance Agencies Limited formerly Mugumo Insurance Brokers Limited) and Mrs. Lucy Mbaire Gachuhi of Acacia BusyBee Farm: Gaaki location, Tetu sub-county, Nyeri county, and Embakasi, Nairobi.

He is the younger brother to Muturi Gachuhi and Wangechi Gachuhi: the grandson of the late Samuel Muturi Mutonga and the late Ruth Wangechi Muturi, the late Daniel Mwai Wandua and Joyce Muthoni Mwai.

He is the brother in love to Esther Wamuyu. He is uncle to Gachuhi, Jabari amongst others and a beloved nephew, cousin and friend to many.

He was a valued team member of Broil Kenya Limited and previously of the Sarova group.

Friends and family are meeting at his parents’ home in Embakasi, Nairobi daily from 6pm.

Mwai will be laid to rest on 5th of September 2023. The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home. Mbaagathi Way at 08:00am for the family farm at Kiserian, where the funeral service and burial will take place from 10:00am.

We will miss Mwai dearly, but we are comforted in knowing that it is our loving God who gave ‘Mwai to us for a season and has now called Mwai home.
