1930 – 2022
We, the children of the late Mzee Daniel Mwangi Mubia and our families – comprising the families of the late Peter Mubia, Joseph Wambugu (Australia), Rev. Vincent Kanyi (Loitokitok), the late Agnes Muthoni, Alex Mureithi (U.K.), Stephen Maina, Isaac Mwangi and Elder Ruth Wangui – hereby express our deepest gratitude to all those who comforted and supported us following the sudden death of our father, who passed away peacefully at home on 6th May, 2022. We received overwhelming messages of sympathy as well as material support. As a result, we gave our father a befitting send-off on Saturday 14th May, 2022 at a requiem mass held at Wahundura Secondary School and thereafter burial at his home attended by hundreds of people. To all those locally and abroad who made this possible and even took time to attend the event, we are deeply thankful.
We are also grateful to the staff of Outspan Hospital Mortuary for their exemplary service. Our appreciation extends also to the Kirungu Catholic Church and faithful, as well as to our kinsmen and women in Mbari ya Githenya. Additionally,Wahundura Secondary School generously allowed us to use their grounds and facilities, for which we are profoundly grateful. To the many people who assisted in the catering, transport, emceeing, and other aspects of the event, please accept this message as our token of appreciation. May the Almighty God bless all of you.
Till we meet again, Dad. `For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we who are living will be transformed so that we will never die.’ 1st Cor 15:52b (NLT)
