David Gitonga Marangu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Mr. David Gitonga Marangu (Principal Karimba Day – Maara Sub -county, Tharaka Nithi County). It occurred on 24th July 2022 at the Nithi Bridge tragic accident involving Modern Coast Bus.

Son of the late Mr. Samuel Marangu and Mrs. Peris Marangu. Loving husband to Mrs. Harriet Gacheri Gitonga. Father to Humphrey Mutuma, Victor Koome, Gloria Ntinyari and Brian Munene. Grandfather to Sam,Trevor, Makena and Habia.

Loving brother to Rosemary, the late Kirimi, Kendi, Muriithi Karwirwa, Kinya, Kennedy, James and Bridget.

Brother-in-law to Mwenda, Kinya, Kithinji, Kanana, Lucy Karambu and Kendi. Son-in-law to the late Erastus Mwongera and Judy Mwongera.

Uncle to Kim, Sam, Mwiti,Wendy, Gakii,Valerie, Mercy, Karimi, Kagwiria, Mukiri, Makena, Ziada, Roida, Morgan,Tatiana, Liz,Tony, Gatwiri, Karani, Nkatha, Shantell and Prince.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Murirene Village, Mpuri for prayers and burial Family.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2nd August 2022 at 9:00 am for a funeral service at Kiamiriru Methodist church and thereafter burial at his Murirene Home.
