David Maweu Muthoka (Nau)

It’s with great sadness and profound sorrow that we announce the death of our loving father David Maweu Muthoka (Nau), which occurred on Tuesday 25th July, 2023 while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta university Teaching & Referral hospital (KUTRRH).

Son of the late Muthoka Nzyoka and the late Mbesa Muthoka.

A loving husband of the late Hellena Nundu Ndongoi. Loving father to Cosmus Maweu (Baraton University), Pst. Elias Muthoka (SDA Utawala District), Susan Mueni, the late Dorcus Syombua, Mirriam Kiloko, Monica Ndunge (South Africa), George Nzioki, Pst Fredrick Maweu (East Nairobi Field), the late Faith Katheu, Patrick Mutunga and Kennedy Mwove (South Africa).

Father-in-law to Pennina Mukuna, Mirriam Muthoka, Jackline Nzioki, Maureen Fredrick, Eunice Mutunga, Philip Mwalyo, Nicholas Kinyingi, Eric Mwanzia, Boniface Kyengo and Daniel Muthoka.

Brother to the late Solomon Muthoka, the late Kitungi Muthoka, the late Penina Mwelu and the late Mwonga Muthoka. Step-brother to the late Timothy Makili among others.

Co-parent’s, Eliud Kitungi, the late Paul Mulinge, the late Simon Mwalyo, the late Kinyingi lole, Musyoka Katete, and others.

Uncle to Pst. Peter Ndeto, the late Daniel Ndeto, Jones Ndeto, the late Thomas Kitungi, the late Nzyoka Kitungqii Muendo Mwonga, Benson Kithuku, Joseph Kithuku, Mututia Daniel Kyalo, Hellen Sila, the late Noah Muange, Joseph Muange, Donald Muange among others.

He was a loving grandfather to many Namely: Ellen, David Mukuna, Esther, Ruth, Moses, Mercy, Kevin, Samuel, Isaac, Susan, Lerato, Rhodamesia,David Junior, Mang’oka, Muthina, Mumo, Mbatha, Syombua, Fortune, Favour, Faustin,Tracy, Daniel, Faith, Lilian, Jimmy, Cyrus, Nyawade, Moureen, Simon & Pst. David. He had seven great grandchildren namely:- Daddy, Trevor, Banou, Michael, Jonathan, Manuel and Randy.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home on Friday 11th August, 2023 for his home in Nthaani, Kitundu Sub-location, Mbooni West Sub-county, where he will be laid to rest.
