It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition to glory of David Mbugua Mwathi on 9th November 2022, after a short illness.

Son of the late Dr Samson Nathan Mwathi and the late Rahab Njambi Mwathi. Son-in-law of the late John Gichomo and the late Elishiba Nyambura.

Husband to Pastor Nancy Wakuhi Mbugua (Living Word Church). Father of Irene Mwathi- Miheso and Collins Miheso, Joshua Mwathi and Sylvia Mwathi- Bundi (Kiambu County) and David Bundi.

Brother to John Ngugi Mwathi, Peter Ngure Mwathi, Agnes Nyaguthii Watatua and James Ng’ethe Mwathi.

Grandfather to Jonathan,Trevor and Kito Miheso.

Brother-in-law to John Kamau (TM), Jane Wacera, Ann Njoki, Sammy Kongo, Bilha Wakuhi, Ezekiel Kongo, Henry Njoroge, Joseph Mwangi, Magaret Wanyoko and Rahab Muthoni and Arthur Watatua.

In-law to the late Arthur Usagi Mmbulika and Elizabeth Usagi and Joseph and Rachael Muiruri.

Uncle to Fiona Njambi Mwathi, Gina and Richard Koech,Njambi and Dancan Tarus, Lucy and Patrick Ouattara, Patricia Ng’ethe,Tracy Ng’ethe and Samson Ng’ethe. Also, uncle to Tabitha Kibuku, David Maina, Jane Nyambura, Irene Mumbi, Josphat Thuo, James Wanyoko, Jeremiah Kongo, Jonathan Gichomo (Chomly) Gichomo Hinga, John Gichomo, Gichomo Mbugua and many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at bpm at their family residence in Parklands.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way on Wednesday, 16th November 2022 at 9:30am. Funeral service in Langata Cemetery at 11:00am.
